Best massage I have ever had, and I have had a lot. It is very difficult to find someone who is a specialist in bodywork who understands: (a) the physiological issues; (b) how those issues may or may not be presenting; (c) the emotional baggage that may contribute to injury; and (d) a real knowledge of a body's reaction to physical traumas. Cory can do all of it, but with amazing strength and very powerful hands which means she gets what the massage is FOR and also is very good about providing the massage. This is unprecedented. Also, as a large woman of color, I rarely find therapists such as Cory who are not "scared" of my body and compensate by giving a very mild massage or going so hard they cause me pain.

For those who don't…read moreknow, I had a terrible accident in August of 2018 and broke several bones in my pelvis and tore a tendon in the rotator cuff. I have been experiencing horrible insomnia and pain lately. I went to Laci because I know she's the best. After the massage, I felt much more mobile and limber. The best part of all is, I fell asleep at about 9PM! I slept for 6 hours. More than I ever sleep in a night or day. Had a visit with Karden a few weeks ago for persistent knee and foot pain…read more I did not get help with either, instead the visit went in an unusual way. Karden explained that in his opinion many chronic aches and pains were tied to unresolved past trauma. Here's the thing: I'm sure there something to what he's saying and Karden and he feels very strongly about this because he has experienced it for himself. Perhaps a deep dive in past trauma gains relief for some folks with chronic pain. After feeling my knee and foot he declared that there was nothing wrong with either. After leaving his office the pain continued. Thankfully was able to visit my former PT at Berkshire Physical Therapy and Wellness where I would have gone first had I been able to get an earlier appointment. My knee healed on its but was aggravated and as for my foot, it is a mechanical issue based on the way of walk plus recent weight gain that exacerbated it. The PT offered me clear cut ways to help resolve the issues and they are working! I think Karden means well but now that he's a "believer" in past trauma he seems to view other people's problems through the same lense, and in my case completely missed the mark. It's too bad because it was an extremely expensive visit and I feel it was money wasted. I would strongly hesitate to recommend this place.
