When I arrived at the parking lot, I checked-in via a QR code that was on a window sign. It took me to a portal to complete paperwork and that took only a minute or two since I had not been there before. After I submitted the paperwork, I got a text message indicating that it was received and then another text a minute later indicating that everything good with the paperwork. I settled in by turning on a podcast in my car and dug into a magazine. About 5 minutes later, somebody came outside and called a name. My window was up and I assumed it was somebody who arrived before me. But when she called out the name again, I rolled down the window and to my suprise, it was my turn to go in. I was taken to a room where somebody immediately took vitals and a history of my illness. She did a quick covid and flu test. It took about 10 minutes to get the results back and a doctor (RN?) came in to give me the good news - no covid, no influenza but she asked more questions as to my symptoms and wound up writing my an Rx for cough drops and inhaler. Had a serious cut at the tip of my finger from a circular saw accident while building my new deck…read more After checking in in which took only a couple of minutes, I was in a patient room within 10 min having my injury evaluated and addressed by the on site Physicians Assistant. The PA was very polite, professional with a nice friendly disposition that took the time to explain the medical care she was going to give me where she proceeded to give my finger a 10 Iodine soak to ensure all germs and bacteria were cleaned out of my deep cut before proceeding with suturing my injury. Following the procedure, she gave me clear concise instructions for me to follow that would ensure a proper healing of the cut. From time I arrived to leaving the facility was on the order of an hour which for medical care is quite good by any standard these days. Overall I was very pleased by the service I was provided and will definately return to this facility in the future if the need should ever arise.

This man in a blue jacket met me at the front of the parking lot and driveway to guide me to where I needed to go for my PCR testing. My temperature is well under 98. Another woman came to collect my insurance and my ID card, while I filled out the paperwork. Filled out my paperwork by 9:05am. They have a lot of staff here. The same lad that took my ID came to collect my paperwork and to get back my ID. They told me to keep the pen, since it had been in my car. They take all precautions here and take the virus very seriously. They don't need a script here at all, no symptoms required either. My doctor had wanted to provide them with his script paperwork, so that they would provide the results to them directly. They can't and won't send to doctors at all before a procedure. I will have to pass it along myself. The nasal swab today was much more invasive than the first time I had it done. It was shoved it up so far and that it made my eyes flood with tears, that's way up there for sure. Quick and efficient service here for sure. Would get it done here anytime required again.

Unfortunately, the current health care crisis has sent the health care system in a tizzy. It took several hours of driving around and calling local clinics to find one that would take a walk-in patient. I was lucky to find Express Med. Upon arrival, I saw a line of folks in front of the building waiting to be checked-in for testing. To my surprise, the line shortened quickly. I realized why once inside. The staff was operating like a well-oiled machine. Everyone was working efficiently while taking the time to show kindness and care to the patients. I checked in and was instructed to wait in my vehicle for a call. A few hours later, I was called in. The physician assistants were thorough and helpful. Although they were slammed with patients, everyone I encountered was cool, calm and full of positivity. It was a great experience. The clinic sits in a strip mall with plenty of parking. I found the decor so cool! There were album covers, music memorabilia and references all over the walls. There is an artificial fireplace and Motown hits being played on a television. Very soothing environment for a place that I'm sure most people visit filled with anxiety.
