Dr. Liu is a very decent and professional doctor who has been working in this field for 20+ years, about 12 of which was spent in China where the authentic acupuncture treatment rooted in. He is very knowledgeable about the right treatment in acupuncture. The first time I took the treatment there for a shoulder pain, he gave me acupuncture followed by sucking cups. When I left the office, my shoulder feels like a new one! So I started continuous treatment there since then. I later learned that his acupuncture does not just cure pain, but also help with sleeping difficulties, even pollen allergy! I slept better when he gave me a few needles treatment on my head! This is really amazing acupuncture office. He is very busy and I feel lucky that I can find a Chinese doctor who really understand what a real acupuncture is. His office is very quiet and comfortable and clean. All in all I highly recommend it. If you go there you might want to try the massage/Tuina treatment which works too.

I'm sure the sessions are different for everyone depending on their pain issues. For me, I usually have a 30-minute acupuncture session (usually focused on my shoulders, feet, or back) followed up with cupping on my back. I believe the combination of my new medication and the acupuncture sessions with Nancy have really helped. Acupuncture isn't a cure for me, but it definitely helps me manage my joint pain and the flare ups I still have on occasion. Overall, I feel much better than I did two years ago. In fact, during my last visit, I had been experiencing joint pain in my hand and my hand was pretty swollen by the time I got to the office. Nancy focused the session around that, and when she took the needles out afterwards, the swelling was completely gone. I don't know why it works, but it does.
