Dr. Liu is a very decent and professional doctor who has been working in this field for 20+ years, about 12 of which was spent in China where the authentic acupuncture treatment rooted in. He is very knowledgeable about the right treatment in acupuncture. The first time I took the treatment there for a shoulder pain, he gave me acupuncture followed by sucking cups. When I left the office, my shoulder feels like a new one! So I started continuous treatment there since then. I later learned that his acupuncture does not just cure pain, but also help with sleeping difficulties, even pollen allergy! I slept better when he gave me a few needles treatment on my head! This is really amazing acupuncture office. He is very busy and I feel lucky that I can find a Chinese doctor who really understand what a real acupuncture is. His office is very quiet and comfortable and clean. All in all I highly recommend it. If you go there you might want to try the massage/Tuina treatment which works too.

I had been trying to lose weight with little success for two months, but my biggest motivator to visit Complementary Healthcare was to try and get arthritic joint pain under control. I'm sure the sessions are different for everyone depending on their pain issues. For me, I usually have a 30-minute acupuncture session (usually focused on my shoulders, feet, or back) followed up with cupping on my back. I believe the combination of my new medication and the acupuncture sessions with Nancy have really helped. Acupuncture isn't a cure for me, but it definitely helps me manage my joint pain and the flare ups I still have on occasion. Overall, I feel much better than I did two years ago. In fact, during my last visit, I had been experiencing joint pain in my hand and my hand was pretty swollen by the time I got to the office. Nancy focused the session around that, and when she took the needles out afterwards, the swelling was completely gone. I don't know why it works, but it does.
