Liz from First Step Counseling really assisted me in navigating these health insurance challenges and she was even willing to work out a payment plan that suited my needs (in the event that my new insurance was going to be too difficult to deal with). Liz also found a way to squeeze me into the schedule, despite all of the therapists being booked and at capacity. Liz went above and beyond to help me during a time when I really need it. First Step Counseling actually cares about the lives they are changing which is so rare in today's world where most companies just want your money. I see that both bad reviewers only saw him once. Turkish L has so many misspellings and usage errors it's probably a good thing he/she is not a sheriff. They are correct about his San Pedro office - it's in a noisy industrial area and it could be a 70's time capsule. But it's the work that goes on in that office that counts. If interior design is important, you can also see him two days a week at his Marina Del Rey office which is in a lovely building on the marina. I would recommend Stuart to anyone looking for an experienced, caring, no bullshit therapist.
