If you are reading this - your loved animal is most likely sick or injured. I'm sorry. I know you're here trying to find some support - trying to find someone, somewhere to help them. Please stop looking. You have found it here. Book an appointment, check this off your list, and move on to your next concern. I looked back and I have been here over 50 times. The doctors and staff are compassionate and down-to-earth. The facility has all the modern equipment and even technologies I hadn't heard of. They really have a well-rounded approach.

Im giving Dr jessie and her team 5 stars! From the first time she met Drake my minidoodle I was very happy that I found someone that cared and was willing to take the time to get him better. He had TPLO ( ACL surgery) back in February. He had complications with infections which resulted in 2nd surgery in May to take out the plates. Then another recurrent infection because a nail was left in his leg. Drake had to get a 3rd surgery that required him to have a hole drilled into his bone. She not only took the time to make a plan for him, but contacted his surgeon and his primary vet. Drake started with healing paws after his 2nd surgery. He was never 100%, and I did not know why. So coincidentally he went lame again and I immediately took him to the vet. My vet (no longer my vet) did xrays and even though was asked to look at his leg told me nothing is wrong and to go back to rehab to get a brace. Dr jessie's team saw him immediately. They took a deeper look and discovered an abcess and that his bone never fused. I tried to go back to my vet and they did not have time to see him. That is what led me to Lead ER to get another surgeon to take care of Drake. Thankfully Dr Marin did the last surgery and with the help of Healing Paws Drake seems like he is on his way to finally walking. I wanted to write this review because I feel that there are so many vets that dont have time to really take care of our furry children. I was skeptical of a rehab center, but now Im hoping that one day Drake can go hiking with us again. Or atleast walk around the block with his Brother Apollo!

Is your fur baby a family member and not just a pet? Then this is will be the perfect facility for you. Dr. Jessie and her entire staff are amazing and go above and beyond to provide quality of life to all the fur babies that are intrusted in their care. I took in my senior 26yr old cat who had lost his ability to walk and I cannot speak enough of how much they cared for him. I was able to see my boy run around our yard after not being able to get up from his bed after just one visit. Although my little fur baby crossed the rainbow bridge, it was because of the excellent care this facility and their staff provided him that he was able to live his best life ever all the way up till the end. They truly are heaven sent and absolutely not there for the profit but for the passion to help their patients.

I just lost my little girl Pepper who was 18 yrs old she was a miniature schnauzer and the love of my life. I brought her to Healing Paws about 2;years ago for a problem with her knee and she developed other issues. If it weren't for Dr Jessie with her knowledge and the care of her team Pepper would not have been with me as long as she was with such good quality. Not only that they truly helped me through some very emotional times with her. I can't recommend Healing Paws enough if someone has a problem with their pet. I will miss seeing them, they became part of my family. Thank you again for everything Dr Jessie!! I will truly miss you.

Thank God I found this place bc I was quoted $5k-8k+ for dental surgeries near me with 3 week long+ wait times when it was VERY affordable for the same exact services at this clinic. I was able to book an in-take appointment immediately for two days out on their website with no fee. SUPER convenient. They did the initial exam for my small dog, bloodwork, and some other things to prepare for her surgery which is booked next week! They were extremely helpful when explaining all of the information I needed on my dog's procedures and payment options, and the doctor and tech shared info on insurance options which I do already have luckily. They even had a promotion going on for a free Rabies vaccine which I needed! I would come to this clinic for anything. They have a $20/month plan to bring your pets in for unlimited exams which I would absolutely do if I lived here. The doctor and tech that helped us both seemed very knowledgeable, kind, and caring. Unfortunately, I forgot their names, but I really, really appreciate this office and thank you to Shanice at the front who was also very hospitable!!!

I found Dr. Johnson on the internet. http://www.holisticnatural.com/ I couldn't find much on him…read moreother than what is on his website. For example, no reviews. I did call a pet resort he lists in his credentials on his website, stating that he is Senior Veterinarian, to check on their impression of him. The pet resort said only that he does not work there any more and would not connect me to someone to ask about him. I emailed the pet resort too about Dr. Johnson and received no response. Because I wanted to try the holistic route as a complement to my normal vet and Dr. Johnson comes to your home, I called to ask for him to come to my home for a consult. To do this, I spoke with assistant, a vet tech I think, Pam. Consult is $200 ($50 for home visit and $150 for the consult). I scheduled the appointment, but was told a few days beforehand that they had to reschedule me. They forgot they had an emergency scheduled already in that time. (Not sure how an emergency can be scheduled as that seems to go against the concept of emergency). I was not happy as my cat has terminal cancer and my goal was to have him made more comfortable. In my view, a few days delay can make all the difference in such a case. When Dr. Johnson and Pam came to my home, Dr. Johnson reviewed my cat's medical records. He seemed diligent in doing so. Where I started to feel uncomfortable is when looked at my cat. My cat was having a bad day. I didn't feel that an effort was made to first introduce himself to my cat and try to "make friends" and soothe him. I am not sure much attention was paid to him at all. Honestly, what I remember most is chatter between Pam and Dr. Johnson. Dr. Johnson suggested treatment on the spot, which included laser acupuncture as a part of that treatment. I figured I would try it. My total bill was $315. I wrote a check because they said their credit card machine was broken. Rather than wait and see how my cat felt from the treatment and call a few days later to schedule another appointment, I said I wanted to schedule one while they were in front of me. Pam said she would call me that night to talk about a few things and schedule my appointment. She never called. I only heard from them again when they mistakenly called me to give me blood work results (blood work was not done on my cat by them). Dr. Johnson didn't call to see how my cat took to his treatment. I thought that he would be more hands on with his patients. Apparently not. I was also a bit disappointed in some lack of professionalism I experienced. When I spoke with Pam a few times on the phone before they came to my home, I was focused on my cat and how he could be helped. She made some confusing comments about things having nothing to do with my cat. I am not sure whether what the intent was. When Dr. Johnson was at my home, there was banter between him and Pam, including about their personal lives. Clearly they have worked together a long while, but again, I expected focus on my cat and our needs than lighthearted banter. Particularly since my cat was not feeling well and has terminal cancer. I take his care and comfort seriously. I was not convinced that they did. When they left my home, I really felt a bit uncomfortable with the visit and thought there goes $315.00. In the end, I do not fully regret the expenditure of $315. I am doing what I can for my cat. But, I do not feel my cat and I got much for my money, except a lesson - I will most likely never use a doctor's services again just by finding him on the internet. A referral from those who have used a doctor's services is the way to go.

If you love your pet, STAY AWAY FROM these unprofessional people!!!…read more I tried to research "Dr Ron Johnson" but could only read from his website, which he writes on his own. It is very confusing in design with a lot of outdated information from years ago. You can not speak directly to the Doctor. You have to call and leave your # with an answering service! Then you are, at some point, called back by "Pam." A secretary type assistant, evidently for years. She goes on and on and on about unrelated personal issues and always has multiple problems committing to an exact appointment date or time. Many times the appointment will be changed or they will leave you hanging. However, she was very willing to give her "Opinion" regarding my dog's health situation, not once, but numerous times. She is not a vet, and her opinions were not what I was paying for. So, I was intrigued by some of the info on the site, and, long story short, I had them come to my home to "Holistically" treat my dog, who was recovering from a cancerous situation and operation. He was doing well for months but I feel the care given by these idiots had nothing to do with it. They are ALL ABOUT THE $$$ ! There was little to no interaction from the Dr and my dog. Just a lot of jibber-jabber between the Dr and "Pam." Many personal issues were on their mind and being discussed in front of me. Rude and unprofessional service. Additionally, EACH visit, Pam would make a mistake. The first time, so hurried and disorganized, she slammed her finger in their car door. Next time, left a used needle laying on the ground which i found 3 days later, another time left their turnicate which I had to mail back to them, and then there were 3 lab result mistakes! (3!) Twice I was given someone else's lab report and another and the LAST time, I was told the tech made a mistake and they gave me a run around so I demanded my $ back, which I got. After constant issues just trying to deal with their methods of doing business and communication, I complained to the Dr by e-mail, and asked that they please just professionally work with my pet. Well, guess what?!! Pam called and said the Dr was "Dropping my Case!" This is Absolutely appalling behavior from a so called Veterinary professional! Treatment wise, how does a "Holistic" vet give my pet chemicals like de-wormer he didn't need, vaccines and more...money money money. It seemed to me that they tried to set up as many appointments in a row as possible to bring in money and that is all that was important to them... What a SHAME! We Love our pets, want to do well for them , and then we are taken advantage of by Jerks like these... Many months later, I got Another Lab Report e-mail which was for someone else's pet! REALLY? Come on. Just QUIT!

From the moment I called, the front desk staff member with gray, curly/wiry hair and glasses answered the phone with an audible sigh. I initially assumed she was having a difficult day, but while sitting in the lobby I heard her answer multiple calls the same way. It set an unfortunate tone. Our appointment was scheduled for 2:45 p.m. This practice has clients wait in their vehicles until called inside. We weren't invited in until 3:00 p.m., and by 3:15 p.m. our pet hadn't even been weighed. Another client in the waiting room told us she was still waiting for her 2:15 appointment as well. I approached the front desk because I'm a doctoral student and had class obligations later in the day. I simply asked for an update so I could decide whether I needed to reschedule. Instead of receiving an estimate or an apology, I was told in a sarcastic tone that we were "third" and that others had been waiting two hours. I was also told that "when you begin doctoring" I'll understand that nail trims turn into additional questions. I cut the woman off. She seemed to want an argument; raised my voice that customer service is a simple courtesy and their issue of poor scheduling shouldn't be my problem. I'm not in veterinary school, and I have a 28-year professional career. My concern wasn't that emergencies or longer appointments happen - they absolutely do. My concern was the complete lack of communication and respect for clients' time. If the schedule is running an hour or two behind, a quick phone call or text giving clients the option to arrive later or reschedule is simply good customer service. The one bright spot was the staff member who proactively came out to swab our dog's ears before the appointment. She was kind, efficient, and clearly trying to help the veterinarians stay on schedule. She deserves recognition. Unfortunately, I also witnessed another staff member speaking to a couple with a paralyzed dog in a manner that came across as cold and lacking compassion. Whether intentional or not, bedside manner matters just as much as technical expertise. This entire experience was so upsetting, I left to wait in the car while my mom handled the appointment. Where I live, customer service is paramount (I was bringing in a pet as a favor to a family member currently traveling). I get this is South Florida, but you don't have to live the stereotype. In the end, the delays themselves weren't what disappointed me. It was the dismissive attitude, poor communication and lack of empathy. With better scheduling communication and customer service training, this practice could provide a much better client experience. Oh, and firing that horribly rude woman at the front desk. Editing to add: I'd be remiss if I didn't add, my mother was not allowed back with our pet. The vet comes out to the lobby to discuss animal condition, results, etc. When my mother mentioned he is having issues with his hind leg, she was dismissive and said nothing is wrong with it. Meanwhile, he won't put weight on the leg and has been limping for days. The idea of not being allowed to observe any part of a patient examination is mind-boggling. Yes, you won't be there for x-rays or bloodwork. That's typical. The rest of the exam? You're left wondering what even takes place.
