He was jumpy, it was hard for me to control him and it was offensive to others because he weighs 65 lbs. i like fixing things, so we put ourselves through training with Mike & Champion Dog Training. At the first lesson i was excited and felt great leaving, but during the first week i was scared to enforce because doggie was sensitive to the collar. Mike gave me a little pep talk over the phone and we made it to our 2nd lesson. I cannot get him into a down/stay using force, Mike says Im soft on him, but he's doing great with everything else we learned. Stay, Stand, Sit, Heel, he's a very smart boy & im very proud. We have continued practicing even after completing the 4 week course. I now feel confident I can control him and there has been a shift in Big D., like he knows I expect more and is waiting on my que. I learned about AYP as the head trainer trained my Great Dane who ended up doing therapy work in hospice settings. I cannot express the delight patients and family members felt when they saw her; and for a slight second they forget everything else. She was so amazingly well behaved and I knew that's what I wanted for my two new pups. AYP truly loves my girls and it shows in their demeanors when they greet the trainers. The trainings are fun for both dog and human, they weave games and fun tricks into the curriculum. They also see when the dogs/person can get frustrated and help guide or change it up to make it easier. They offer fun side classes like outdoor adventures where the classes are held in different locations each week. The day classes are doggie day care mixed with trainings where they will share videos and pics of how the dogs did during the day. I adopted 2 new puppies which I plan to bring here too. I have tried big box trainers and private and have to say this by far outweighs them all. As with all training it does also depend on the work you're willing to put in with your pup.

Our dog Goose was never poorly trained, but we did have some concerns…read more We live in an apartment building and sometimes, out of excitement, Goose would run out of the door when we got home. We also have a dog that barks at other dogs to play, which can scare other families and dogs of course. George helped us learn techniques that involved treats, coin bottles (can't spoil all of his tricks), and just LOVE. Goose now responds to "wait", "back", "sit", "NO bark" and knows where home is and will lead us there when we say "let's go home". We only had four lessons with George but George is so great, he told us we could do tune-ups as well (shorter lessons just to make sure everything is in order). Why is george is the best?! He's a nice person, who cares about dogs like NO other. He even took our dog on a walk with us to show us tips and tricks to have Goose walk side by side instead of pulling on the leash as prior. It does require practice with your dog, that's not to say it doesn't, but it's very simple and honestly, we never expected Goose to be so trained so quickly! I highly highly recommend George!!!
