This place may have many reviews both positive and negative but let me be very clear that any place who is asking you if you want your genitals or boobs draped or not during a session is NOT practicing within legal regulations. Not here anyways. I don't care what the owner says because I know the regulations and I have spoken with the city of Rochester as well as leaders from the state of MN about how massage in MN works right now. I have also asked other friends who are certified therapists and have been in this career for 30 years! I have one of my own children in this industry. The massage my daughter received was incredibly inappropriate! The owner seems to be very close to the manager and neither of them handled the situation professionally at all nor gave a rat's about what happened. She was told that as a customer she was full of shit by the owner and that the owner told her never to come back even though she clearly was a victim. Other friends of hers had tried going here and they too came back and reported inexperienced therapists and they too experienced inappropriate behavior by the therapists here and have also filed complaints to the city. As a mother this has raised a ton of concern about the messages places like these are sending out there to the public. I am sad this continues to happen all over because it makes the legitimate places look bad and is infuriating to them. I don't blame them for being angry. There's a place where the therapist (my daughter), is all about quality care for the patient and is fighting to make massage affordable for everyone and to get rid of the common belief that massage is just a luxury and not health care. She supports and is also a part of groups that are fighting every day to get rid of the belief and common fear that all massage places are brothels and are more than just massage which is clearly not true. She works with survivors of sexual crimes and other abuse and does trauma healing. She and other of her friends in this industry work every day to fight against places like this place who appear to be all good and everything is just peachy and really it's an opposite story which is sad because the location is nice and the spa itself is nice but the values and what goes on behind closed doors and the way employees are being trained here is NOT OKAY. Everyone deserves a place that is safe and also LGBTQ friendly and she goes above and beyond to makes sure you know the treatment plan and consent to everything before you're on that table. To me this is how you treat people with respect, professionalism etc. Healing Touch in my opinion has deeply failed to be these things in the way they handled what happened that day with my daughter. No one is to ever ever treat any one of my kids like that again!! read more

Great massage. The place looks great! I went to the Second Street location and was very impressed with the appearance of their space (it is in an older hotel across from the hospital). It was SO homey that I was briefly surprised by the presence of paper towels in the bathroom! The massage was wonderful and she knew what areas I really needed work on based on her assessment and she hit them well (I had an all-over relaxation massage and when she got to my "hot spots" she knew they were tight and really worked them without me having to ask or point them out). Planning on going back for a deep tissue massage this week with Hannah again. Location is crazy-convienent for people spending time at St. Marys who might need a little TLC. read more

I had a wonderful 1/2 hour massage from Rose and then scheduled a full hour massage and looked forward to it! Unfortunately, I slipped and cracked a rib, and consequently needed to cancel my massage. As soon as I am not so sore, I look forward to rescheduling with Rose. Healing Touch Spa literally takes me from "stress and anxiety from all the chaotic demands in my life" to a sort of disconnected place of peace. Treats employees like students even if you have years of previous experience. Extreme micromanagement. Tells you how to perform massage, rather than allowing you to use your skills you've developed over the years. I got many poor reviews from clients when I worked here. Where i am now I get constant 5 star reviews. They are also far too expensive, especially since half or more of the staff are still students. read more

Not only was she skilled, but she brings nurturing and healing intention and intuition into her session, which takes more than just trained skill. I went for a deep tissue massage on Monday. Yes I've had them before so I knew what to expect. What I had gotten was nothing like what I was expecting.
