The receptionist told me that I have to pay an extra $30 on top of my copay because the eye doctor is a specialist, but the insurance company states that the eye doctor isn't supposed to charge more than my copay because he's in network and not listed as a specialist to charge an extra $30! After I made a complaint, the Dr. tried to state that the $30 is for the retinal imaging, but I refused the retinal imaging because it's not mandatory for my in network yearly eye exam. Dr. Burks office refuses to complete a yearly exam if you don't agree to pay upcharges outside of your copay that aren't mandatory! You all better run to the professional optometrists who will provide yearly eye exams without forced upcharges to build their revenue! My family and I won't visit this location again!

The tech told me I had to have it done or my insurance Davis Vision wouldn't cover my eye exam. So I went ahead and left them do it. My husband refused to have his done. I called my Insurance company after words and they told me they don't cover a dilation unless the doctor says it's medically necessary. At this time I didn't even see the doctor they just dilated my eyes. They are scamming people or should I say the insurance company to get their eyes dilated and just saying it's medically necessary. We will get back to them.

Just want to mention Dr. Nelson again! He knows I have chronic sinusitis and recently when I went…read moreinto see him because I thought I might have an infection, after the really cold spell the nasal spray didn't seem to be working as well. No infection though, he said the cold spell could have caused a flair up and that my condition was chronic and that occasionally I would have flair ups. The pharmacy was not going to refill until next week which I would probably be out of the spray by then. I don't sleep without it. Pharmacy had been giving me three of the spray, but when I went back to refill they gave me only one. At one time they were keeping me in stock and I was getting too many and was afraid they might expire, so I told them to not auto refill til I needed. Since that time I realized I was using my last bottle. After the pharmacy wasn't going to refill til next week I called Dr.Nelson's office and left a message. Few hours later I received pharmacy notice that they refilled it until that I was at loss what to do without it for several days. Thank you Dr. Nelson You're the BEST!!!

Detailed review first half was my first appointment with them 5 star and second is my follow up…read morewhich was a big 1 star. I had been having issues with ear aches off and on for about 4 months straight and I found out about this place through a quick search on my insurance providers website after being told to seek a specialist care by my primary doctor. The only downside I can give the place is the length of time for an appointment. Literally it took a month to get an appointment and I even considered canceling it since my ears weren't hurting as bad but at the same time I'm happy I kept the appointment as they were able to diagnose my issue and clean my ears out very well. For those going here I would highly recommend being half an hour, to an hour early for your appointment as I was called back at least 45 minutes before my scheduled appointment this is even after filling out the paperwork. Dr Kurt did a good job along with his assistant and audiologist. I'm now on the road to recovery. Thanks ! Updated review for follow up appointment 5 star lowered to a 3 star today. This was an appointment which was approximately 1 month after initial appointment.... The doctor I originally saw is not in today and I have been setup to see a nurse practitioner. Also my insurance did not and has not approved my prescription over the last month for my infected ear drum. The 5 star's originally left is slowing dropping from a 5 to a 3 star. Hopefully they can get me some medical relief soon . Updated 12.20.22 . Place goes from 3 star to a 1 star Unlike my first visit on 11.20, I arrived early for my appointment as I did on my first visit waited in lobby for about an hour with crying and screaming loud children and have seen others called back before myself and come to the realization it's just not worth the wait to see a Nurse Practitioner. Wish STAFF had called me and told me that the doctor wouldn't be in else I wouldn't have missed an afternoon of work for this. After a full hour of waiting I just got up and said the HELL with this place
