My 86 year old brother wad in this facility several times during the last few weeks..I live in CA and have never physically been to this facility. My brother and his wife complained nonstop about the horrendous care and horrendous food. At night they were often late with his medication and personal care. He would lie in his poop for hours despite complaints. I tried to help from 3000 miles away via phone. Most of the time a nightmare! One time when I called I wad told there was no patient by his name Wasput on hold twice..second time they still couldn't find his name, the third time they found it actually stating to me they don't always update their patient roster....really? Another time, speaking to my brother he asked me to help..someone was supposed to come in and clean him up from his poop but the female workers told him she had 17 patients in worse condition than he was, who needed her help before him..what a thing to tell a patient lying in his poop. Several times I left a message for the attending Dr. to call me and I was told by female employee that would be a surprise if the doctor even comes around, let alone calls me..amazing. My brother constantly complained about the food..how could anyone. ----up a grilled cheese or peanut butter and jelly sandwich? In all fairness there were a few employees who went out of their way to accommodate, answer questions and make my brother's life a little more bearable including 3rd floor male employee (Philippino?)Rig, LVN Laurie, Manager on duty Isabell Bradley and her assistant, another lady. Although he was not mobile, they did not provide medical transfer to 2 appts he had to see a urologist and surgeon. His small statured wife was left to struggle transferring him via wheelchair and walker from bed to wheelchair to walker etc etc..according to both of them it was a nightmare and they had to find assistance the entire 2 outings.. Finally, there is a gal who is in charge of the hospital transport who Isabell's assistant told me to speak to re the transport. Believe her name is Patrice. She spoke very, very condensendingly, rude, and in the end I had to terminate the conversation, totally unwilling to assist. She spoke a mile a minute, rattling off medical terminology, procedure, not ketting me get a wird in..maybe you can find a recording if there is one..Unbelievable and a shame! Would NEVER recommend anyone stay here. Been involved in the insurance regulatory business much of my working career and this facility is a nightmare except for the few who I was fortunate to run into and mentioned above. read more

Yesterday, 9/19/25, and other days, there were only three aides on the floor which houses 50 beds. The aides, except for J, K, and L, (all male) do not care about the patients. They make you wear a diaper so they don't have to help you to bring you to the bathroom. Sometimes you have to wait over an hour to have your care bell responded to. The facility hasn't seen a coat of paint or updating since it was opened. Some of the chairs in the dinning room are rickety and questionable as to safety. I'm sure they are understaffed and the staff are underpaid. The facility doctor is required to show up only one day per month; The APNurse is required to show up only one day per week. The administration is rude and only want your money. read more

If you're looking for a facility where the staff is caring and kind, look no further. My 88 year old mother is a patient in the rehab section and the care she receives is excellent. My first impression started in the Admissions office with the Admissions Director Cathy who showed compassion and kindness as I struggled with many difficult decisions. She offered great advice and shared her knowledge with me and my family. Her assistant Saundra is just as kind. The Concierge Dee and Head of Physical Therapy Lou welcomed us and made sure my mom was comfortable and felt at home and that continued throughout my mom's stay. The nursing staff are seasoned professionals who really care and make a difference. Paula, Libya, Patricia and Kristin were all amazing. Freda the director of nursing was always available. They all listened and made changes when needed and went above and beyond. The CNA's were gentle and were genuinely caring as they helped my mother to bathe and dress. Raquel, Ronald and Mandy were standouts. Everyone is just so incredibly friendly that I didn't really notice the few things that were wrong like older furniture in the rooms and limited TV channels. Her private room was spacious with a flat screen TV and attached bathroom and lovely window with a view of the garden. My mom loved getting fresh air in the garden every evening before bed. The Physical Therapy team evaluated my mom and determined were she needed help and got to work. They made significant progress where other facilities did not. Amanda the Social worker met with us twice to discuss in depth my mother's treatment plan. The Activities Director spent much time asking all of mom's preferences and offering ways to make the most of her stay. read more

My Mom was transferred to Galloway from a nursing facility in Cape May Court House. After being sent from the hospital to the Cape May Court House facility for rehab of a back injury and UTI my mothers health declined rapidly. She was re admitted to the hospital again for yet another UTI which the past facility ignored the symptoms for days after being informed by me of the symptoms!! Since being at Health Center At Galloway, my mothers health, outlook and happiness are greatly improved and she thanks me for transferring her every time we speak. The rooms are large with a bathroom only shared by the two people in the room. The staff, all of the staff, have been extremely helpful, reachable and concerned about my Mom. PT department is excellent and they even have a service pooch on staff. A yorkie named Loki my Mother adores him and he is helping her to feel better. The girls in the main administrative office are very knowledgeable and up to date regarding insurance/medicare changes,etc. They would get 10 stars if I could give them 10. The nursing staff at this facility is pathetic. They are negligent, uncaring and incapable of patient care. The physical therapy and occupational departments were good at best but the rest of my experience was downright horrid. My father was there for 8 days and not once was his room clean or was he bathed. read more

My, God fearing, genuinely adored Grandmother a.k.a "Granny", age 99, attended this rehab for 29 days. The center's psychological staff deemed her blessed with great wit and wisdom for her age. There were two or three staff members that are very pleasant, exceptionally honorable and heartedly dedicated to their work. I know for certain is that one was a nurse and another one was a clerk. Im not sure who all else was assigned, but those two made happy, healthy, and high-spirited. When they had an opportunity, they would tend to her needs to make her feel comfortable. They helped her tremendously, which I can't say for them all, by keeping her calm and determined throughout the mistreatment of her treatment. However, to my understanding, this wasn't the lady's assignment, they went over and beyond. Every single day of her stay, we always talked about her therapy, services and her day. Due to the facility's covid policies, they wouldn't allow any visitors inside to be with their loved ones during these troubling times. So my grandmother and I would either speak using the room's phone or her cell phone. Although she would remain quiet to the staff about their services at first, but when questioned, she had complaints. Her bell/light to the nursing station didn't work or was ignored for over an hour. Unmanageably, loud music playing in the hallway in front of her door while the staff were conversing with one another. After the second week, several complaints, second attempt to do the repair, they finally fixed the phone to her room. Someone showered her in frigid water, then takes her into her cool room subsequently causing her to catch a cold. The most disturbing things, in my eyes, is they would leave her soiled for several hours at a time. One of the phlebotomist, continuously pokes around in the arm as if they didn't go through training themselves. Staff would leave her in the bathroom for an extended amount of time while neglecting the alarm cord. Some would tell her that they will come right back, when she'd ask for help. She woke me saying that she was choking on something, saying that couldn't breathe and they wasn't answer her bell. Heaven forbid she was in dire need and the workers weren't available, due to skeleton crew. I suppose they are overpaying the undeserving and underpay the deserving. It also seems as if the ratio between the staff and the patients, is well uneven, unfair, and ill moral leaving patients like so. I called the nurses station each day, sometimes ç to my grandmother. I've voiced my opinions and concerns to the third floor staff, the nursing staff supervisor, the director of nursing, and the administrator and assistant. They each assured me that things would get better. I can't say that they have improved at all, we are taking her out of this unorganized, understaffed, unpleasant monstrosity that is called a health center. read more

The Nurses and doctors were helpful and attentive . They honored my request for vegetarian food. I received consistently valuable PT twice a day and had opportunities to also exercise in my room. Medications were regularly given to me and they saw that I no longer had Covid and other issues such as UTI. It was a positive experience. read more

The Health Center at Galloway is a great place if you need to get better real quick. Therapy department works really well in ensuring your recovery. Nursing is on the ball with anything that is needed. The food is really good and the Social Workers do a great job too. They have a really nice lobby with a fire place and near the elevator a nice and soothing fish tank. I just want to say that, everyone here from top to bottom have been up and above more than nice. The administrator as well as the asst administrator have been really really helpful with anything i needed. Therapy was so amazing and helpful and has done a really good job. My mother was on the rehab floor and this place was negligent. My aunt who pushed the call button waited over 45 min before anyone even checked on her needs. (My Aunt is a nurse)My mom was told to stop calling me and that she could not possibly be in the pain she was. My mom was finally diagnosed with multiple myloma ..and yes that is very painful. There is no set schedule and the place is disorganized and there is no communication. My mom would sit for days in a hospital gown and had blood left on her from her bloody noses almost daily. Yes it looks pretty, but that is all it has to offer. We ended up leaving an going to Meadowview. I am thankful everyday for the wonderful competent people at Meadowview and I wish I was not fooled by the pretty exterior of Galloway Health Center. read more
