Co=worker brought me here, closest facility to work. the patient balance was over $280!!! Questioned why since BCBS says $50 copay for Urgent Care. They didn't answer immediately. I let the balance ride 3 months. No answer. Checked with BCBS and they said they paid according to their DRG codes submitted. I went through description of services, labs and packed tampon inside nose, come back 3 days...no adjustments.Charged for a surgeon??? 200. Charged for facility 50. no surgery, no cauterization performed.

I ask questions and one Lahey person tells me one thing and then later another Lahey person tells me something different. I told them on the phone I would cancel and never do business with them again. They of course could care less. Just as long as these sneaky blood suckers get their money.

Here's the lowdown: this place houses a plethora of laboratories and diagnostic services. It has a large parking lot and is located on a main thoroughfare=convenient. There's a small cafe in the downstairs which is handy if you need coffee or a snack. The profiled water cooler, and nice accessible public restroom are lovely touches. My favorite part was the nice lady of the information counter who gave me directions to all of the above and told me where I was going, "adult services" upstairs. Not to be confused with " adolescent services" which is across the hall. I took an appointment here despite its distance from my home in dorchester because they had an appointment a month sooner than the more local boston branch of beth israel . Despite estimating over an hour for traveling 20 miles in rush hour, i still found that I was late. When i called to tell them that i was on my way but would be late, not only what is the phone answered by a real person on the second ring but she was quite nice to me about the fact that i was going to be late. I was seen as soon as i arrived. Throughout the procedure, which if you've ever had you know is quite uncomfortable ( this involves needles and electricity), i was treated in a professional, courteous, respectful and patient manner. Dr Raynor and her assistant both took time to explain what they were going to do before they did anything and verbalized just the right amount of reassurance and information. When somebody is stabling a needle into you and then transmitting electric current route to see whether your muscles work, it's very nice of them to tell you before they do it and when they're done. I will also add that the place was staffed by fashionable women with great hair. If it was closer to home i would have asked for a hairdresser recommendation but lexington is too far for me to go to get my hair cut.

Was over a 40 min wait for an 8:50am allergy appointment, but fortunately the offices communicate with each other and they were able to move up our daughter's ENT appt and shuffle us next door then back to allergy to ultimately wrap up earlier than initially expected. Specialty Drs are also great and after 4 ear infections our 9 month old's 20 min tube surgery went perfectly. Happy with Atrius health!
