Quick check in process. Staff was friendly. However the oncall doctor refused to prescribe me an antibiotic for a sinus infection. Told me to use over the counter medication. I tried explaining to her that I know my body etc but she didn't seem to care. I know my body and what is happening. read more

This is a fantastic facility. The staff are friendly and professional. They provided guidance on what may have caused or contributed to the condition, and suggested ways to manage the condition. 2 weeks After visiting that show maker doctor dad has no idea what my problem is even though it's very common problem they told me they'll send the prescriptions to the pharmacy. Nothing!!! Never send the prescription just charged me 200 for a visit. Mission is to find A real doctor. Getting there it's not only a joke on your expenses prostrating thing. No experience with low medical practices! We was there for blood work and took them 10 tries and three nurses to get it done!

This was a pretty great experience. I have severe hypochondria/health anxiety, and I had a nagging sore throat on one side, so I went in for a bunch of swabs for covid and strep. Not only did I get these swabs, but I got a crazy-thorough urgent care respiratory workup right in my car, all while the kind staff dealt with my shaking and worrying. Test results for rapid strep and covid were back in under an hour (both neg) and I got some solid tips for dealing with what was probably a random viral thing or some kind of allergy gone rampant (seems to be pretty much gone today, two days later). My (neg) strep culture was back in a day and a half. I think that car exams should be the norm for mild respiratory urgent care even after covid, given that a facility has the space. What a great way to give the patient a full workup without potentially spreading viruses and stuff in the waiting room. Thanks guys! read more

I went yesterday night to get tested for covid. It was positive. The doctor was amazing. The provider who collected the sample was amazing. The problem was, they didn't send me the paper saying I was positive, I needed the paper. It was ok. I called them, the call was horrible, the receptionist was clearly annoyed, (Sunday, 9/11 at 9:30 am. ). "I need to you to slow down, there is nothing here with your name on it. I was polite, even explained to her why I needed the paper. She cut me off. That is ok, people have problems BUT THEY DON'T HAVE THE RIGHT TO TREAT YOU BADLY. I called her back, she was rude again, left me waiting, I hanged up BECAUSE I NEED THIS PAPER ASAP. I called her back because she DID NOT, AGAIN, SEND ME THE PAPER THAT THEY USULLY GIVES US WHEN WE GO THERE TO GET TESTED. So, I went there, to ask for it. At this point, I was also annoyed since she was terrible at the phone. I went there... "Hi, I talked to you twice on the phone, I need my paper saying I am positive to take to work"....Here is a paper with my name and my driving license..'MA'M I DONT WANT YOUR PAPER, YOU NEED TO LEAVE MY CLINIC NOW, YOU ARE EXPOSING PEOPLE".. I WAS WEARING A MASK WHEN I WENT IN AND THEN, THERE, AS YOU CAN SEE ON THE VIDEO, I PUT 4 MORE MASKS ON IT. She kept yelling in front of people... "YOU NEED TO LEAVE MY CLINIC".. I went back to my car, I knew I couldnt be there but who could go to get my paper if my husband is also positive and we have no relatives here?.. It is ok, I was in my car, she brought the paper, I was super EMBARRASSED FOR THE YELLING IN FRON OF PEOPLE. She could have said "can you please go back to your car? you can not be here".. It is ok, then I said, "How do you think I feel, I am here, felling awful because you did not do your job correctly and also you were rude to me since the beginning".... She left, I said, from my car, i need for my daughter too, who is also positive. Anyways, She came back handled the paper to my husband who was seated next to me on my car. Then I said... "Look, you did not have to yell at me in front of all those people, I am a nice person".... She said, YOU CAN NOT EXPOSE PEOPLE!!!! And again, I said, "I didnt want to be here and again you are so rude". Then I said "You know, I am happy they record all those f*** s*** interaction, then, they can see how you were rude"... She said "ARE YOU SWEARING AT ME?? I KNOW YOUR NAME. ENJOY YOUR COVID!!!" She kept increasing my level of stress since the first interaction, because I said, one bad word, two actually, that was not about her btw, it was about the call, she thinks she is right!! Love that, people who are rude, stress you out and play the victims. Horrible, don't go there!!!! Even tho the doctors and nurses are amazing, the reception destroy the whole thing. read more

I went in to be tested for Lyme Disease and later received a bill from Quest Diagnostics for $500 (actual amount was $3,500 - $500 was the insured amount) for seven different tests that had been done. We're all 7 necessary? Given that I did not have any symptoms (e.g., fever), other than a dot with a red rash/ring around it, I don't believe all these tests were necessary. Total racket. In case of needing urgent care, I won't be heading back there ever again. read more

Do not trust of any diagnosis from them! My daughter complained about pain in the right toe. We went to AFC to do an X-ray. I am not an MD, but the picture clearly showed that the bone was broken! They said that everything was fine! After we returned home I called and asked them if a doctor had reviewed the image and the receptionist reassured me that the doctor had signed off on the image and everything looked good. The next day I scheduled an appointment with a Pediatric Orthopedist at MGH and he confirmed that the bone is broken and we need to proceed with surgery to put the bone together. I've been here at least a half a dozen times. For various ailments, and just feeling generally crappy. Each time I've gone, I've been greeted nicely and taking care of quickly. For the most part, the doctors have been very helpful. Providing me what what I need to get better and even calling me the next day to check up on me. This time however, the doctor clearly ignored what I was saying and explaining how I knew my own body. She suggested expensive tests that really aren't needed. I have a sinus infection and I get them quite regularly due to a condition that I have. So I'm used to having the situation arise. I ended up calling my own primary care doctor after visiting the location, and the doctor called in a prescription for me, and what do you know, I'm feeling much better. Less than 24 hours since I went there. The doctor at the urgent care doctors express, wouldn't give me the antibiotic because she didn't think I needed it. Sorry. You were wrong. Bedford and Burlington walk in clinics seem well managed with staff that are knowledgeable and friendly. I went in with a broken toe and received xrays and a boot that were most helpful. They aren't connected to pcps so xrays and follow-up can't be sent but you can ask for a copy to send. read more

If you are going for any service that requires x-rays do not go there. They have the most inconvenient way of providing you the results on a disk so if you want to have a physician review them fast you cannot e-mail them. You have to bring the disc to him/her - you cannot even print them yourself from the disk. Unimaginable in today's day and age and inappropriate in Covid times when one should aim for virtual contacts when possible. Would not go there again. I would have given them higher rating otherwise but this was meant to be fast and convenient. It would have been quicker to get results anywhere else. read more

AFC urgent care will have you sign paperwork that you don't understand and when you question them about it, they just say it's a release that allows them to care for you. They do not mention that this allows them to charge your credit card for up to a year after your visit. This happens whenever they please and on Saturdays! So that you cannot call to dispute the charges until Monday. Classless act of a medical business and I would not recommend anyone to go here. And if you have gone here, call your bank and put a pay stop on them or they will charge you without your permission!!! read more

This place makes no sense. They do estimated appointments for covid testing. I did not get any notice from them so I went at my appointed time. There were not many people waiting but I sat for 30 minutes and they only called one person to the back. I was then called shortly after but I waited in a room for another 30 minutes with nobody coming to see me. That's an hour. I heard rumors that some people waited two hours or longer so I finally decided to leave. When I left, the waiting room was full. Worst of all, this is not even a free facility. They charge you for covid testing. Ugggg, I will probably not go back there, at least for covid testing. read more

I had the angry rude highlighter old lady. I was treated so poorly I was extremely uncomfortable in the waiting room after being yelled at for asking questions upon a forced patient registration for a pre enployment drug test. My id was not returned upon registration and i found that odd, got yelled at for asking for my id back and was not given a reason that my id was taken and held. Im very upset i was treated with such disrespect. This woman needs to find a job that doesn't include customer service. I had one good experience which was when I had to get tested for covid, the woman came out to the car and was so nice and comforting and it was done in a timely manner. But All the other times I went it's been so bad-from their attitude, to wait time to their rude receptionist. You'd think since they work in health care they have manners but they're plain rude. Everyone there was very kind and I appreciated their help, since it was my first visit to an urgent care facility and I was nervous because I've been sick for two weeks now. The woman at the front desk and the nurse I saw were both really great, and the doctor was kind too! My only concern is that despite having a chest cough for two weeks, and now a pervasive rash that is incredibly painful on my hands and legs, the only thing they could do for me was suggest changing my allergy medication and putting lotion on? It made me feel like I wasn't taken seriously, but everyone was still really nice and it's not a COVID issue, so altogether it was a good experience! read more

The doctor (Vijiadevi Dhas) who saw me for a fever and sore throat come into the room and never even closed the door, no joke she had her hand on the handle the whole time. She told me to take Tylenol for the fever (duh) and said "alright, we'll feel better" I had to ask her to come back in and see if she could look at my throat. She did release her grip on the door handle to walk over, but didn't use a tool just her eyes (from a fair distances) and said "yup it's red". I asked if there is any medications I could take and she made some off-handed insult about me not remembering my middle school biology. Then she left. 2 mins. Talk about Doctors express. I get a phone call 2 days later asking if I'm feeling better, that's sweet, but I'm actually feeling worse. I tell the nurse on the phone and she tells me I can come back in be seen again, but I'll have to pay. I explained how the doctor barely saw me. she said its only their policy to see patients a second time if its before the follow-up call, so you know: before I have a chance to tell them I'm not feeling better. I told the nurse that she can just put down that I'm feeling better on whatever chart she's filling out, she excitedly said "OKAY!" and then hung up. She's just got to check off that box, doesn't matter if its true or not. I've been before and had good experiences but this is by and large the worst. I've been to this place three times and my last experience changed my thoughts about this place. I walked in first thing in the morning and the woman at the desk did not even have the courtesy to say "hello" or lift her EYES from her computer screen. Instead I got "do you need to be seen?" Um, yes, I'm sick as a dog. She feverishly highlighted the form for me to fill out, pointed to the pens and told me to sit. Filled out my forms and I got "take a seat". Two more people walked in after me, men, and the woman at the desk explained to them there was water and coffee blah blah if they needed anything blah blah blah. Hmm. Are you just rude to women? I ended up spending almost 2 hours there with different tests they needed to run. The doctor explained if my fever spiked to come back in. So of course that night my fever spiked. I called to see if they could see me, to which the woman on the phone rudely stated they couldn't see me and if I needed to be seen to go to the emergency room. There are definitely some nice people working here, but they are some ladies working there that would greatly benefit from an attitude check and a lesson in general common courtesy, especially in an industry for helping to serve people. read more

I may never go to my PCP again. Well okay, I suppose I will for routine checkups - but as for any other ailment I come down with, Doctor's Express will be my go-to. Came down with symptoms of strep throat, wanted to go to my PCP but would have had to take time off of work and waited a few days. Instead I decided to give this place a try during my lunch break. I was able to fill out the forms online, and I saw a doctor within 4 minutes of getting there (the nurse saw me almost right away after I checked in). The staff and nurses are extremely helpful and friendly, and the doctor was overly accommodating and knowledgable. After the rapid strep test came back negative, he wanted to make sure I didn't have something else, so gave me another test for something else. When that test came back negative, I let him know that in the past I have gotten the not-so-common strains of strep, and he said that he would send my test off for a culture and give me a call back once the results are in. He even offered to prescribe me antibiotics if I didn't want to wait for the results to come back. A few days later, Drs Express called me and asked how I was doing, they were genuinely checking in - I've never had a PPC do this. The doctor there was so so. The 2 evening admitting ladies lacked professionalism, they are incompetent , rude and just unpleasant to the polite customers. They are very snippy and lack basic manners. Why were these two losers hired (this was true a couple years back around 2017-2018 or so. While the wait was short and the doctor competent, the place was unkempt. The trash barrel in the exam room was overflowing with dirty paper towels and other disgusting items. The rest room was dirty with no paper towels and dirty tissue strewn all over the floor. The hand sanitizer dispensers were empty. I'm not sure if I'd go back. I have gone a few times and they seem reluctant to give antibiotics to kids. They are always like, "it's just a cold and it will go way". It turns out, they are real infections, like a sinus infection, (confirmed by their regular physicians, who do prescribe antibiotics). Why does the kid have to suffer. Waste of money. DOCTORS - The Doctor I saw was a MD (Medical Doctor) not a DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in osteopathic manipulative treatments (OMT)). I prefer a MD's. STAFF - Semi-Professional (medical assistant wrote my vitals on a post it note and took my blood pressure wrong), clean, friendly, and fast. FACILITY - Clean, Sanitary, Flat screen, Keurig (coffee or tea), Multiple Treatment Rooms, Easy Parking, with Hours of Operation: 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week. Technology - The Medical Assistant while writing my vitals on a post it complained that the hand held tablets were slow. However, she also the same one who took my BP incorrectly. Not sure how reliable that info is.. End result, the doctor was great and I am feeling much better. BRAVO!! read more

My primary care physician was on vacation when I needed to go in to get my malaise checked out. If my friends weren't so insistent on getting me to see a doctor at Doctors Express, I probably would still be suffering in bed. The front desk, techs, and doctor were all very helpful, efficient, and friendly. I walked in on a Thursday afternoon, expecting to wait a few hours for care, but was seen within 15 minutes. The check in process was quick, and the examination process was simple. After I had my vitals checked by the tech, the doctor came in and checked me out, and got to my diagnosis pretty quickly (even with a rapid strep test performed). She made me feel very comfortable and even threw in a few jokes. 30 minutes after checking in, I was discharged with a prescription already sent to CVS. Good news for those who do have longer wait times - there's a Keurig coffee machine with a variety of drinks, and chilled bottle water. I highly recommend this facility for your one-off needs - they are very capable in providing the care you meed when your main options are off the table. read more

Booked a rapid test for Tues 8/18. Was told night before that there were no rapid tests. Told day of that results would be ready In 24-48 hrs. Now past 48 hours. Cannot travel without a negative test ! Went in person and told that tests from last Sunday are still not in. They charge for an office visit just for listening to kings and then test charge. Since results not in on time I have to cancel hotel so I will be charged $186. No longer even need results since trip ruined. Insurance fraud ? I will be speaking with my insurance carrier. read more
