Took this course for my job and it was perfect. It was a small class of 2 and Dexter was our instructor. He was very informative. The class consisted of watching videos and a discussion after each video where Dexter made sure we knew the key points of the video and made sure we understood. After going over all the topics, we practiced our CPR and ran a code for bradycardia, tachycardia, and cardiac arrest. It was very interactive so be prepared to be engaged and participate but you will definitely learn and come out prepared for your job! read more

I recently took both my ACLS and PALS at Healthforce in Bergenfield. I have a very busy schedule, and I was able to easily schedule my classes online at home while wearing my pajamas at 3AM in the morning. I had renewed my certificates online for the past few years, but let's be honest, if a code dropped in front of me, I wouldn't know what to do. I will most likely step over the patient and run the other way. To gain proper knowledge and confidence, I signed up with Healthforce. The classes were small and intimate. They last upto 7 hours, depending on the class size. I had Nurse Dexter as my ACLS instructor and Nurse Gilbert as my PALS instructor. I found them to be very smart, knowledgeable, and great teachers. They both showed us video scenarios, and reanalized and explained the scenarios thoroughly. They went through the algorithms in great detail, which showed up in questions at the end of the class. There is a 50 question test at the end of the class, which you can easily pass. I have regained my confidence and renewed knowledge after completing the course. My advice is to reread the algorithms from the pamphlets that come with the books before going to the class. It literally takes 2 minutes to read them. Reread them at least 10 times and take the pre assesement test, which they provide a link to in your email after to you register for the classes. I highly recommend Healthforce to everyone. I will definitely be back here when my PALS and ACLS certification expires. read more
