They moved me to another room. Samething, everyone so nice. Now, I am on the 3rd floor. The nurse i had very very nice but her shift was over andd she left. Now, the nurse I have now. I caught name, Kimberly. Very nice too. Soft spoken, kind and very helpful. She brought me everything I needed, medicine , supplies. She made sure I have the oxygen on and brought me walker. Very caring young lady. I asked her to adjust the room tempure . She did and sanitized everything around. I truly don't know how much can I praise her but if everyone is like her this would be number one hospital in the nation. Great job Kimbery. God bless you and i hope all wishes come true. As a family member showed up at the nurses station to get an update on his condition, they were greeted by a nurse who had a very poor command of the English language. After a few attempts It was understood that she would contact the nurse who is attending to my father. After an hour we visited the nurses station again because the attending nurse never came to see us. After another hour the nurse finally came to inform us of his condition. They did stabilize him. When we returned in the morning he was completely soaked in his own urine, as nobody attended to him the entire evening. My father told us he made repeated attempts to get someone to clean him up, but no one would help. So we ended cleaning ourselves. There appears to be a shortage of nurses on the in relation patient load We have been using the services of Hackensack Medical Center for 30 years, and have felt very confident of the care received. They gave me ample text notice prior to my appointment what my copay would be and to bring a form of payment. From check in to pre op prep, and physically going into the OR all the staff were extremely pleasant. My pre op nurse Beverly was awesome. She was patient and walked me through the whole process as I was nervous for this was my first colonoscopy. My anesthesiologist was great too and I was in and out from 730am and done in recovery by 1030am. The care was great and when the nurse called the following day to check up on me she took the time to listen to my symptoms and worries and I did not feel rushed at all.

He didn't wear a mask the entire time. He yelled at my elderly mother for missing an appointment. Note that my mother has early dementia. She did not remember her appointment and Dr. Lee's office also did not call us to confirm the appointment. I asked for her prescription refill for her dementia since he had already seen her six months prior. He refused and continued on his tirade screaming about how his office will have to conduct tests again and complete paperwork for her insurance and how "complicated" it is. Isn't that what medical offices are required to do?? He also told me to put my mother in a nursing home just because her memory has deteriorated a bit. He also yells, screaming for his staff through the closed door until someone comes running. The front desk staff also yells at patients. I was shocked to hear the front desk woman yelling at an elderly patient that the elderly patient is making her work complicated. She continued to scream at the patient to decide on the date of her next appointment. It was all surreal! I couldn't believe this was the treatment my mother had been receiving in her past visits. I was in shock the entire time and asked for my mother's prescription so we could finally leave. The doctor insisted we go to the pharmacy they recommend, which is inconvenient for us. I politely asked for the prescription repeatedly so we could go to our preferred pharmacy till finally the doctor said it was a nuisance and time consuming for them to hand write the script. They wanted us to just go with their pharmacy since it's easier for them since that pharmacy had the prescriptions! They just didn't want to make the effort and everything is about what is convenient to them only! I have never experienced such an unprofessional and rude practice, ever!

The appointments are well organized, and my doctor or nurse practitioner always gets back to me promptly when I leave a message. There are several different doctors that work out of this office, but my oncologist is wonderful. I highly recommend this office. At times the wait can be long, but that is because they are dealing with other patients that may have a serious issue at the immediate moment. Both my mother and I have had success with the treatments prescribed by this office.

Always was caring and stayed with me until the Dr. came in and supported me. When I was finally Cancer free, we hugged and cried together. And as a volunteer we are still in contact daily. Everything from start to finish went fine, and I was very happy with the level of service I received from this facility. In the week leading up to my surgery, I received several calls from both Englewood ENT and the Surgery Center to ensure everything was set for my procedure - from paperwork to schedule changes and beyond. I prefer more information than less, so I was happy to receive even a quick phone call or text to update me on even the slightest change. The hardest part about this center is the location - it's really tucked in to a bizarre neighborhood in Fort Lee. However, the location sent me a direct pin to the front door which really helped. (When looking it up on Google Maps, the ETA was slightly different. The listed location on Google Maps is not as accurate at the pin they provide, so use the location that the text message sends out.) I was also grateful for the message about the parking they sent beforehand - the place is undergoing construction and they gave us a head's up about how it may be different to find parking. Obviously, for a surgical procedure, one can expect to be there early to make sure everything runs smoothly. I arrived 90 minutes before my scheduled time (7:30am). The gentleman at the front desk was kind and informative. You basically submit everything before you go, so you only need to sign some paperwork before you go in. The waiting room is also very chill and comfortable, with a TV screen that gives you up-to-date patient information so your guest can know what's going on. Upon entering pre-opt, every person was lovely, kind, and informative. Shout out to Elmer who took my pre-opt notes while I was getting ready! I am a talker (especially when I'm nervous) and the nurses were very happy to engage in conversation with me. While I was finished and waiting to wake up from anesthesia, the Center and doctor called my dad to let them know how I was doing. Upon waking, AJ took care of me - she's awesome! I was out and ready by 11am. I really could not have asked for a better experience!

I discovered I needed to allow lots of time for traffic, especially in the morning. They called me pre-op to get all the necessary information and answered all my questions about my transportation. I was having local anesthesia, so I was able to drive myself home. When I arrived I was greeted and made comfortable in the waiting room. It is very clean! Pre op nurse Elmer did everything correct. Thank you to Josephine, RN who visited me in pre-op. It truly helps when you are a little nervous to have kind and considerate people speaking to you! They informed me of exactly what would happen. Or Nurses Cristina and Karen and Dr. Ekstein spoke with me pre op and during procedure so I knew exactly what was going on. Everything went according to plan. My recovery room nurse Lorraine gave me written and verbal instruction, offered nourishment and assistance, answered all my questions and saw me safely out of the building. I was very impressed with the center, the staff, the kindness and professionalism. I am a nurse and it's pretty hard to please us! A+ in every way.
