I decided to work with Taryn and Madi because I was struggling with weight gain/slowed metabolism, burping after meals, brain fog, midday fatigue/constant napping to get through the day, KP/eczema/acne/PMS. My health journey has been an ongoing disaster for the past 5 years. Countless doctor visits, ER visits, blood work, scans, procedures and counseling sessions because I was gas-lit by my doctors to believe that I was making myself sick due to my, "high level of stress" that I was putting myself through. I will be the first to admit and acknowledge that I am a high functioning stress case, but I knew what I was feeling and experiencing wasn't ALL due to only "stress". I initially reached out to Taryn for weight loss guidance and help managing PCOS (and fertility while managing PCOS). I was recently diagnosed with PCOS, was having irregular periods, and saw significant weight gain in a short amount of time. My OBGYN offered pills, and he encouraged weight loss. I wanted more; I wanted to get to the root cause of the diagnosis and let my body do the work. I had tried countless diets over the years only to gain the weight back after the diet was over, so I wanted a different approach. Lastly, I wanted to get pregnant, but I had heard that fertility was more difficult with a diagnosis like PCOS. When I reached out to Taryn, she was eager and excited to help. I began searching for a registered dietician because I had finally reached a point where I knew I needed a change - and that the change I needed wasn't in my personal wheelhouse.
