I'm basically an average middle aged female. When I turned 49, I could no longer deal with my menopause symptoms. Poor sleep, hot flashes, mood swings and weight gain, among other unpleasant symptoms, became unbearable and affected my quality of life. I went to my regular doctor and my Gynocologist, as I always have, but they couldn't offer me much except antidepressants and sleeping pills. I must add that because I'm not computer savvy, I was a bit apprehensive at first, but the process was very simple and straightforward and the patient coordinator was there with me on the phone every step of the way, when I needed her. My initial appointment was set up for two weeks after the blood work was taken, and so when Dr Rand initially saw me, he had already reviewed my intake forms, the labs and prepared to discuss them with me. During the hour plus long appointment, he asked me about my complaints, considered my symptoms, took my blood pressure, listened to my chest, diagnosed my condition and made various recommendations. Afterwards, based on the blood work, physical evaluation and our discussion, I chose the program that best suited me. As part of the initial evaluation, I had a nutritionist who also met with me and evaluated my BMI on a sophisticated scale which measured my fat to muscle to bone ratio. The evaluation was very thorough and eye opening. The Dr. was very knowledgeable, professional. and pleasant. As of now, I've been a patient of Healthy Aging Medical Centers for almost 5 months and feel like my former younger self. I follow the prescribed customized program to a T and whenever I need adjustments, Dr. Rand and the rest of the team are on call to make all of the necessary changes. Most of my symptoms are now under control and I've been able to increase my exercise program to 4/5 days a week (because my energy is back), and of course one thing feeds the other. Subsequently, I've lost weight and am finally in a long time, enjoying my private life with my husband. Pretty much everything has improved! Just about a month ago I brought in my husband and he's now also on his way to improving his health and well being. It's a process, but in my opinion, one well worth it! I've been with Dr. Rand for 10 years now. I recently turned 60 and so many of my friends and people that I meet tell me that I don't look a day over 45. I'm sure some of this I can attribute to my mother's genes, but both my parents died of cardio problems in their mid-60's. So, when I turned 45 I started looking for ways to improve my health with the hopes of avoiding my parents' plight. I met with my PCP regularly for check-ups. I was pushed over to specialists for this and that. I spent time & money, and had pill after pill pushed on me from my "healthcare providers". I've had the pleasure of using Dr. Rand's services on two separate occasions: once for Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT), and for Stem Cell / PRP shots. From my experience, Dr. Rand and his team are honestly miracle workers. I had been going from doctor to doctor for over 2 and a half years for a list of issues that seemingly had no cause. I'm only 21 years old, so my laundry list of symptoms was concerning. Specialists in NYC, Philly, Morristown... no one was able to figure it out. After two appointments, Dr. Rand found the root of my bizarre medical issues.
