Bought a delish little coconut cake

What a relief to find a place that sells healthy food! The lady who works here is very knowledgable and helpful. She helped me choose a CBD oil for my dog. I will be back!

Bee Man's Honey
Michi B.

Healthy Choices truly has some of the greatest quality products around. From the feminine products, to vitamins, to baby / toddler needs, essential oils, frozen foods, healthy snacks, the non-dairy milk... everything is reasonably priced and the staff there is always so very friendly. I used to need to order a half case of the Ripple milk when my baby daughter first started transitioning to bottle feeding and they were always so very accommodating with not only placing the order, but always keeping me informed for when to pick up shipment. I also bought a hand lotion there for severely cracked skin and it is a very satisfying product that aids me with the desert dryness. And they also offer the Bee Mans local honey here and I am not being exaggerative when I say the local Bee Mans honey is literally the BEST honey I have ever tasted and sooooo worth the extra money, especially since I'd have to use more of the commercial honey to get the same sweetness as one drop of the local honey. So really end up saving money by needing to use less of the local product to achieve an even better taste than would have by using excess of the commercial honey!

OVERALL Food Matters boasts the reputation of being the…read morehealthiest meal providers in Hobbs, NM. They offer a 7-day ACV (apple cider vinegar) cleanse, lifestyle plan meals, and food delivery service. RATING BREAKDOWN Food: 4 | Service: 4 | Ambiance: 4 | Price: 2 PARKING They share parking in a small plaza lot next to Permian Toyota. LOCATION/AMBIANCE The place was immaculately clean. There were t-shirts and other items for sale on one side and refrigerated meals on the other. One entrance is for grab-and-go items. The other is for deliveries. THE GRUB Since my daughter had been sick, I decided to pop in for some quick meals as she has had me slaving away being a nurse which frankly I never had any desire to be. We tried three different lunches. On each individually-packed breakfast, lunch & or dinner are the nutritional benefits and ingredients. + buffalo chicken salad ($12.99) + pesto chicken pasta with sliced asparagus ($13.99)... there was an abundance of flavor! + shrimp tacos ($13.99) LITTLE YELPER'S CLUB No small kid's meals! However, this place is mainly catered to the adult palate... SERVICE I was helped by a mostly affable young lady on 2/1/2024. I would have liked more of a welcoming & explaining of what the place was about to be honest. Also, it was a bit awkward to be watched as I was putting my wallet away in my purse and proceeded out the door. Lol. MY FAVORITE PART... The buffalo chicken salad! NOT SO FAVORITE PART... The price! Just over $44 for 3 lunches. TIP Open Monday through Friday from 10 AM - 6 PM.

On a drive through the outside edge of the mountain range on our way back to Texas, we came across…read morethis roadside gem where there is nothing else around expect a few houses spread apart, hills, lots of dirt and desert brush, and a ravine behind the buildings were a small creek was running. Very serene and peaceful, mind you the rooster on side was being plenty loud. We stopped as we saw signs for "mountain apples", so curiosity got the best of us and we stopped. It's a run down barn building, wider than deep, and to the left... cages. With goats, chickens, roosters, a donkey, and a camel. If there were others, they were hiding. The camel was funny, as he/she was very vocal. Trying to compete with the rooster, maybe. The barn store had a lot of canned items, jams, beets, sauces, salsas, random veggies. It housed various souvenirs as well. The young lady there was super nice, a Texas Tech student that was home for the holidays. Very neat place. If you're in this area of nowhere, it's a fun place to stop and stretch the legs, get some actual apples that are grown in the area, and pet the camel.

I was surprised at how many unique animals they have here- water buffalo, goats, turkeys, camel, zebra, capybara, kangaroo, donkeys, alpacas, pigs, emus, ostrich, bunnies, etc. We ending up spending a little less than an hour here. I asked them how business had been and they said they had been blessed during this time. We bought 2 pints of cider (one apple and one cherry for $2 each) and a pound of tart apples for $3. They had honeys and jams, nuts and mini pies. It's about $2 to feed the animals and admission costs are all covered by donation. The journey back was a lot quicker and we left happy and full of cider. 2020 #23
