However, I've been to the office 3x and the last time I was over it. I made sure to arrive early and each time i had to wait 20-30mins to be seen. The last time (final time) i waited 50mins; at that moment i left. It started last week when i called to get a follow up appt after i had an extraction from a referral from Dr Edmondson. I called and the front office put me on hold for about 5-6mins. I was then told that they would call me back. 4 days later, i still had not received a return call so I called to follow up. I called and finally made an appt. I asked how long the service would take because i would have to get my daughter from school. She informed me that i would have ample time. When i arrived i also asked the tech and she informed me the same thing. After waiting for 50mins i left because i felt that my time had wasted. I informed the tech that i was leaving and walked out of the establishment never to return. I REALLY wanted to call that dental office my home but it seems the respect of time is not important there. I really hate that it came to this because i wanted Dr Edmondson to be my dentist.

One of my fillings fell out a few days ago, and my former dentist doesn't fit my schedule anymore. Kayla at Crossroads got me right in. Hygienist Lataysha and Dr. Friend determined they would apply a buildup but wait on a crown til I'd seen a root-canal specialist. My thought was, why bother with the buildup if it might be removed for a root canal? I clearly surprised them by declining the work, but they respected my decision. Kayla actually called the specialist and booked the appointment for me. But when we learned it wouldn't be for several weeks, I asked if I could get right back in the chair and go forward with the buildup. Dr. Friend agreed and after a short wait (shorter than I deserved, lol) and a *really* efficient session in the hot seat, I was on my way home in much better shape than when I arrived. Talk about flexible and patient! They respected my wishes to explore the possibilities, then took great care of me without saying, "I told you so!" I will be back if they'll take me. :-)

When you get there, they always seem not to be expecting you. Then once they get started, it seems they are rushing to do 5 things at once. Like how can I make the next appointment while your hands are still in my mouth, and the assistant is handing me the spit cup? Why don't you already know what I had done last time? I can tell you but not while there are 4 hands and all kinds of tools in my mouth, and someone handing me things. Slow down and understand that patients are not pros at this. We get dental work done once in a while and it's kind of difficult for us. We shouldn't be asked to multitask while under duress and while paying top dollar, just so you don't have to spend one extra minute with us. I'd cancel my next appointment but I bought a membership on the strength of the first visit (prompt response to a painful need) so I'm just stuck I guess. If you're ok with a bit of chaos and little roughness, she's very good. If not, go elsewhere.
