The Dr I was assigned to was amazing and diagnosed me correctly. The sorry excuse for office employees Susan and Monica both are offensive and have a terrible temperment. It was like dealing with children. After I explained the pharmacy did not have my prescription I got berated and hung up on. When I tried to get my thyroid medicine refilled they told me I had to sign a fabrication of standards stating I couldn't yell at them. Garbage service and I'm considering filing a claim with the state board. Stay far from the attitudes that seem to be the focus as opposed to actual medical assistance. 0 out of 10... It's probably fine for an abortion but Britt Severson is a highly unpleasant woman and is the only doctor who's ever treated me, an SA survivor and currently with an adrenaline secreting tumor like a common drug addict or parolee to get my anxiety medication refilled and I barely survived a suicide attempt when she refused to do it. I DO NOT recommend her or the clinic for primary care but the office staff are friendly if you need an abortion. read more

DO NOT GO HERE: I had a scheduled appointment with this facility. I came out of state to get a procedure done. When they schedule appointments they verbally tell you everything over the phone. There is no literature sent over email for a confirmation. When I booked the appointment I asked if the person attending with me could wait in the lobby. I was specifically told no because the total time would take 4-5 hours. They said the actually procedure itself takes about 2 minutes. Then they said they schedule multiple people at the same time and so they have to get to multiple people. So, I showed up today for an appointment. ALEX almost denied me and another girl whom came out of state because we didn't have someone checking in with us. I did tell her someone can head up here as I do paperwork. With out degrading the women, without yelling/raising my voice nor nothing along those lines I state: "Honestly, this is why I was nervous to come here because of the reviews I saw." ALEX immediately says, "Since you don't like the reviews, we won't be seeing you today." I asked, "So, because I said I have a concern about your reviews you're denying me service even though my appointment is already paid for ?" She said, "Yes" I casually then pulled out my camera, which I have the legal right to do so. I re-asked the question because I wanted her to repeat what I just witnessed for the camera. She told BRENDA next to her to call the cops. Then closes the window. I sat down to wait for the cops because my father is a law enforcement officer and I knew the cops weren't going to do anything because I was recording. At that point, she never asked me to leave. About 30 seconds later THEN she comes from around the counter through the side door and tells me to leave. I left because she has the legal right to do that. If she didn't like I started recording she should've told me to leave and if I didn't then she should've called the cops. I waited down stairs for my Lyft. The cops arrived and asked me what happened. The cops were super polite and nice as soon as they approached me. I told them she called y'all before telling me to leave because she was mad I was recording. When I told them they chuckled on her behalf and said have a nice day. The officer manager called me because after I left I emailed the facility and ask for her to do so. In brief, she lied to her office manager and said she denied me service because I didn't want to comply with the policy. She absolutely LIED. I then asked the office manager why she trained her employees to call the cops. The office manager said she felt threatened. I said what made her feel threatened? Her response was I don't know. Pulling a camera out shouldn't make you feel threatened to call the cops. All in all, ALEX the assistant manager tried to play a power game that day and her ego got in the way because I said I was nervous about coming because of the reviews. She was appalled I casually pulled out my camera. At the end of the day, she's an employee on the clock and the public has the legal right to record. It may not be office policy, but the moment she denied me for making a simple concern was the moment I didn't have to respect that policy. Now the video from today is surfacing on social media and it now identifies who she is and where she works. She absolutely embarrassed herself for no reason. In 2023, pay attention when a facility has this many negative reviews out of almost 200. Another facility in town was able to perform my procedure within 2 hours later after that incident. They asked who the facility was I had the issue with and I said 'Healthy Futures and they gave a look as if they've heard bad things about that place. I do not recommend this place at all. #1. Dr. Made an immediate assumption that I was drug seeking shamed me and chatted me and made sure I knew that that was unacceptable.Told me she wouldn't be my doctor if I was using. Was so completely it distracted by her assumption that I was a drug addict, she got my medications wrong! So... Because they have some sort of "messaging system" you can't get a hold of a human being and you need your medications taken care of you are your of meds!! I knew it from the internet I'm at the doctor she was completely unconcerned with me as a person didn't ask me any medical questions didn't want to know about my medical history and dismissed me to a psychiatrist and then got my medications wrong after she made a big speech about how *naughty street drugs are*. I found it pretty offensive that it was an automatic assumption on a heroin addict or a junkie or smoke a lot of crack and then I'm looking for my medications that I've been out of for two weeks because of that. So she was so completely distracted with giving this big *don't use drugs M'K* speech she got my medications wrong and I'm still not getting them. IT'S REALLY HUMILIATING AND EMBARRASSING AND UNNECESSARY TO SUGGEST I USE DRUGS STREET DRUGS CUZ I DON'T. ALSO. I HAVE OTHER MEDICAL ISSUES THAT NEED TO BE ADDRESSED WHICH YOU COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT AND DIDN'T EVEN WANT TO TALK ABOUT BECAUSE YOU WERE SO WORRIED ABOUT MY DRUG USE. I don't live out in Englewood anymore but wasn't really a fan or comfortable at this place when I went for a physical back in December 2020. Office is dirty and not updated. I just didn't feel like I connected with the doctor and she felt condescending and judgmental to me. She didn't seem to take time or answer my questions or concerned and I just got into a car accident then and she said I would have to schedule another appointment to get that checked. I'm glad I found a doctor elsewhere that I connect with and who is supportive and caring. read more

This place is a God send. You can ACTUALLY get a hold of someone on the phone every time you call and the entire staff is knowledgeable about the entire business to where you can get basic questions answered right then and there (my primary care physician is not even 1/2 as impressive). The entire staff is so kind and understanding. They made me feel secure and comfortable and never once did I feel insecure. The doctor however just blew me away. It brings me to tears to think about how kind and wonderful that man is. He truly is working FOR women to make our lives more secure at his own expense. The facilities are beautifully clean and arranged to provide maximum comfort in a difficult time. I could not recommend this business more highly if I tried. I am actually very inspired to donate to their cause based on how well I was treated while in their care. We could not have asked for a more kind, compassionate experience today. After receiving a heartbreaking diagnosis of a fetal anomaly not compatible with life, we went here rather than the hospital we got diagnosed at and received incredible and loving care that was both professional and healing . The entire staff was absolutely wonderful and I would recommend this place a million times over. I was extremely stressed and anxious going in, and the procedure was painless and anxiety free thanks to the wonderful calming staff and the help of modern medicine. Dr. Hindes, and is whole team, are truly remarkable. Going into a doctors office for anything is nerve racking, especially when you have to make shameful and tough life decisions. Definitely one of the worst doctors offices I have ever visited. Extremely rude, incompetent staff. Dingy, unkempt offices. Being a female with a decision to make, it was extremely off putting to feel like I was being strong armed into a single outcome. The kicker was that he told me I would then be charged an extra $100 because I was taking "too long to make up my mind"- I saw them twice. To top off this horrid experience, they were attempting to diagnose me without being completely certain what I actually had. The doctor tried to talk me into something that potentially would only work 40% of the time and if it doesn't.. "Oh well, calmly go to the ER for EMERGENCY surgery and get a tube removed". That is the doctors quote. I'm sorry, I don't gamble with my health. Felt more like he owned stock in the drug company and simply wanted to take my money and continually laughed in my face when I was asking questions. His Hispanic nurse was even worse; probably the worst "medical professional" I have ever had the unfortunate experience to encounter. If you ever find yourself in the middle of needing to make an important, life changing decision, please do not go here. They don't care about patient feelings, the need to think it over or have any type of bedside manner. I'm begging you to avoid at all costs. Your health isn't worth it. read more

Staff is totally incompetent, the office manager is only helpful and nice when she wants to be, and boy, don't point out any faults about the way the office is being run or she'll go after you, and the doctor is useless, and not worth a $318 initial consultation bill. He pretty much started off with, "I have no idea how to help you other than pills". Lovely. I was trying to get into a pain medicine specialist, which I needed a referral to, and once they finally got me one, they told me I had to figure out if they took my insurance. For $469 total for two waste of my time visits, you'd think they could do a little leg work. The office they sent me to, that I never got to actually have an appointment at, also has a one star review from me here on Yelp. The second Pain Specialist I actually found myself, but have still not been able to get in to see since Dr. Hindes office couldn't go out of their way to figure out why the referrals they were supposedly sending never got to anyone. (BTW... It's now been since 11/23/2015 and I still haven't been able to get into see a specialist thanks to this office.) The 'lovely' office manager informed me that they did send the referrals, and after that it's not really their problem. She also told me that the Pain Center I picked didn't take my insurance (no one told me this one the MULTIPLE phone calls I made to them regarding the referral, and they actually did take my insurance) and that she didn't know what I expected since I already told them I wouldn't be paying my bill with them anyway. Which is complete bs. I did not TELL her I wouldn't pay it, I ASKED her why the bill was over $300 when the doctor did little more than tell me he couldn't really help me for two visits. Dr. Hindes didn't even take the time to look at the medical records I had sent over to him before my second visit, making my second visit pointless. I will be paying the bill, just so I don't have to deal with this horrible office again. read more

One of the worst experiences we've had with a clinic and that's saying a lot! The staff is disorganized and discourteous. They informed us they were covered by our health insurance, but it turns out not our specific package resulting in way higher costs. Instead of helping resolve the situation, they continue to bill us, threaten us and doctor has even written notes in our medical file about how irresponsible we are. Better keep looking! read more

Lily is incredible and she doesn't sugar coat. My husband and I are both glad we have her. Support staff not so much. The only two blood draws I have had I ended up with blood running down my arm, soaking my clothes and occasionally dripping on the floor. Working in the health care industry for over 30 years I recognize how dangerous bodily fluid transmission can be. I have been referred for outside services and consistently it has been to providers who don't accept my insurance. I have followed up to ensure that the correct insurance information is on file. I have spent time missed from work in waiting rooms that have not received or being informed that my insurance isn't accepted there. I was supposed to be referred to an orthopedist and a liver specialist according to my care plan. It has been over six months and this never ocurred. I have called the office to follow up and was told they are working on it. The impetus for this particular review is that I had a colonoscopy on September 15th. After taking off work for a day and a half and the prep I was told upon arrival that the office was out of network. I had no choice but to continue. My insurance fortunately approved it and are working on clearing up the bill of almost $3,000 that I received. Lily is the first practitioner that we have had in over 10 years that we truly trust but the support staff not following through is making us look into other providers. read more

The doctor Stephen Hinds is like dealing with a child who quickly makes excuses for the lack of follow up They aparantley don't have an office manager to follow up on keeping files straight or follow up on test Kate wiesenborn assistant to doctor seems to be the only person in office trying to complete visits with patience scheduled every fifteen minutes as she stated to me. I actually had to call to get test results after waiting two weeks. They only sent half of the paper work to order the tests so only half of the test were taken they didn't call to find out why the other test didn't come back. They have no integrity if they don't know something instead of saying I will check on it they make something up so they don't have to get a real answer I'm filing a report with the board to get some one to investigate. read more

Two stars because I have mixed feelings about this place. I had a surgical procedure here and my overall experience during that first visit was 3 stars. Medical assistants were friendly and professional enough (nothing stellar but nothing upsetting either). Office is a bit dingy and old but generally seemed pretty clean. Dr. Hindes did a good job on my procedure but his bedside manner was a bit questionable. When I asked him to prescribe me something other than azithromycin for an antibiotic (I'm allergic to penicillin and its derivatives and azithromycin/z pack has given me extremely painful abdominal cramps in the past) he made a huge deal about how he wasn't sure he wanted to do a surgical procedure since he was not convinced that I would take the medication that he prescribed. After a lot of back and forth he agreed to prescribe a different antibiotic but added in a snipe about how I had his cell and could give him a call if I decided that the antibiotic was too expensive (I believe his exact words were something to the effect of "call me if you decide you'd rather hurt in your stomach than your wallet"). A little off putting but I can deal (especially since the antibiotic he prescribed ended up costing me the same $10 copay as the z-pack...much adieu about nothing). The real reason I am inclined towards giving this place 1 star has to do with my follow up appointment. I scheduled my follow up 3 weeks in advance and specifically bent my schedule to accommodate the fact that Dr. Hindes does not come in on Mondays. I put in for my personal day at work and thought we were all good to go. Then I received a call the day before my appointment because they wanted to move me up 30 minutes. Now I know that 30 minutes seems minimal but I am a teacher and had a very important meeting regarding one of my students that I could absolutely not walk out on in good conscience. Unfortunately, the appointment was originally scheduled for a Friday and the following week I was leaving town. When I communicated this, the office staff just kept repeating that they could give me an appointment 30 minutes earlier. When I asked if they could schedule me earlier in the morning (prior to their regular opening- a little "you bend your schedule and I'll bend mine" if you will) they responded with, and I quote, "come on." At the end of our conversation, the office staff member with whom I was speaking (Alex) informed me that she would let Dr. Hindes know that I would be moving to a new primary care provider. Then they called me back 10 minutes later to ask if I could come in for the morning. Needless to say I declined. read more

(I don't need my blood pressure or any other vital signs taken to just simply receive a piece of paper.) Like most clinics, the staff here varies - so don't make judgement based on the staff alone. Since this clinic does provide abortions, this is obviously a very politically charged topic, and perhaps some poor reviews take an opposing stand? Do yourself a favor and choose a clinic that actually cares about their patients... I was seeing a PA who has since left and gone back to school. Great. Awesome. Except for the fact that the office never notified me, and now I am unable to get my prescription filled because the person who prescribed it to me is no longer there. They say I have To come see someone that's there and get it represcribed, yet upon trying to make an appointment about a week ago they said I'm not eligible to get an appointment til February with my insurance. So now I have to find a new doctor and get it prescribed again, because I refuse to go back to healthy futures after this run around. Not to mention, this is a thyroid medication because my thyroid does not function without it, so now I'm screwed out of having a functioning thyroid because healthy futures doesn't know how to look out for their patients best interests before it's too late. Even one day without this medication messes with my body, hormones, mood, etc. but they failed to notify me that, oh hey! Your doctor left in AUGUST! read more

The medical staff is eloquent, educated and approachable. The office is clean and modern. The staff takes as much time as necessary to examine, evaluate and educate you. Mean Doctor! HORRIBLE and DIRTY! Reception was very nice, Nurses were very nice. Doctor was very unfriendly and room was NOT clean! There was blood all over the lamp, blood on the blue things us women put our legs on, and blood on the floor! The doctor gave me my shot in the cervix and I started to cry, and then he told me to calm down in a mean voice, and said to Relax! The doctor had the nerve to raise his voice at me! I started crying more and then the doctor refused service cause my anxiety flared up, my anxiety flared up CAUSE Dr Hindes was so cold hearted! after he was unfriendly from the get go I knew it was going to be a bad procedure I have never had such a horrible exp. in my life do not go here!!! Unless you can handle a doctor treating you like you are an object that has know feelings about abortion. Maybe other women can get abortions and not be emotional about it, but I can not! read more

I can not stress how awesome this team is! Dr. Hindes is so personable and makes a scary procedure feel comfortable. He even gave me his personal cell phone number in case I had any problems. The nurses (Alex and Candice) were so sweet and made me feel a lot better about having an abortion (all the crazy anti choice people's stories made me nervous). I will absolutely be back if I should ever need it even though I live over four hours away, they are just that good! To all the skeptics out there, the bad reviews are made up because they clearly have never stepped foot in this office. This is the best Dr office I have ever been to. The whole staff is very nice and they are willing to do whatever they have to to make sure you get better. I have recommended that many of my friends see one of the doctors there anytime anything is wrong and every one of them thank me afterwards. The doctor/NP at this practice are completely incompetent. I had chronic stomach issues and pain that Kate could not diagnose. I longed for an answer because it was affecting my quality of life and my mom had colon cancer. After a long time being sent for tests and landing nowhere, I ended up in the ED a few times. The ED visits didn't show anything significant and so when I went to Kate for a follow up, she had the MD come in and they basically cornered me in the room. They treated me like a child and said there was nothing wrong with me and I needed psychiatric care. Granted I do have depression and anxiety, this appointment was extremely unprofessional and insulting. I decided to seek out another family physician and I am so glad I did. She was smart enough to at least start with my depression and anxiety meds, making adjustments because they likely weren't working anymore. This has been a great intervention and helped me significantly. Also since changing doctors, I have been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that explains ALL of my symptoms. I found out that I have a severe intolerance for a particular ingredient in almost all foods and a few other diagnoses I would have never gotten in Kate's care. It just goes to show that finding a doctor that knows what they're doing is invaluable. This clinic is needs to hold higher standards for the care they give their patients and abandonment without cause can easily wind them up in court. I was once asked, "what do you call a med student who was last in their class?"....."a doctor". Think about that. read more
