She demanded my driver's license - it wasn't a polite request, it was a demand - and when I told her I didn't have one, she asked, "Well then, how did you get here?" She was triumphant, as if she had caught me in a lie. If it hadn't been so offensive, it would have been downright comical. I like Dr. Luzzi, but not enough to put up that level of abuse.

She seems more worried about if your labs fit into a "normal" threshold than she does about finding the route of the problem. I find it concerning that when my husband went back because the antibiotic he was on was not…read moreworking (nobody's fault), but when my husband told me the doctor prescribed a new antibiotic and then told him to hold onto the antibiotic that didn't work for an infection that might occur down the road, I was a little taken back. He then said, I don't know if I should take the new antibiotic yet because I already took one of the prior antibiotics this morning, I said, didn't the doctor advise you on this? He said, no. So I called up the pharmacy and asked the pharmacist and she said it was ok to start the new prescription right away and to throw the old one away. I said, the doctor told him to hold onto it for an infection that might occur down the road and she was taken back that a doctor would suggest that. She said, not ever antibiotic works for every infection. She said for example an antibiotic used for a sinus infection is not the same antibiotic that you would use for a bladder infection. She then stressed that the prior antibiotic should be thrown away right away.
