Setting up Drums for Tracking

So I guess you can't be creative when giving a review on yelp... so let's try again. This is my second time using Heart No Evil Studios - Every time I come in they make an Old man who loves Music right at home. I was alone the first time with no demo and just played the song for him and his crew and then we made a awesome holiday Leprechaun Song, Just left there for the second time with a life long friend and it was the same experience, we made awesome music together. Pretty Simple but forever etch in memory.

Been recording there for a year and a half. I said i was just going to record one song, but I keep coming back. Elliot (owner:operator:sound engineer) is easy to work with. Great atmosphere for creativity. They have all the gear and equipment you would ever need. Great for all genres, podcasts, audio books. Affordable rates. Need a rapper, they got one. Need a banjo player? They got one too, Elliot will go out of his way to get things just right. Great place for noobs all the way to Grammy nominees. Ace is a manager/sound engineer and he is also a great vocal coach if you need one. True professionals there. They are the experts and the best in OC!

This place freaking ROCKS!! Elliot has an extensive collection of badass instruments/gear and a wonderful team of engineers who are very helpful + chill. I'm super happy with the price and the sound quality. Elliot is super easy to work with, and a total pro. Honestly, it was just a perfect studio experience for me and my bandmates. We will definitely be back!!

I had a great experience at Hear No Evil Studio ! Elliot took our ideas of a album and turned them into reality! He worked with our whole band and made sure that he got the best sound out of all of us ! He and the entire staff made sure we got the most out of the album and the most out of ourselves! Highly recommend this studio! Id give 10 stars if I could!

Love this studio it's super welcoming to great work flow. The lead engineer, Elliot, is down to earth and very knowledgeable.

Ask the Community - Hear No Evil Studio

I am looking for a Christmas present for my son who is a drummer. I would love to book him for a recording session. How far advance do I need to book the recording session?

It depends on the date you are looking for. Anywhere from 2 weeks to months. Best thing to do is give us a call and go over the schedule to see if we have something available that will work for you. Also, We offer gift certificates!… Read more

Does the 50$ per hour include working with a sound engineer? How much would a mix and master cost? And how much would just a master cost individually?

I’m not sure where you got $50/hr. Our rate is $80/hr. Sometimes Yelp auto fills categories. Our session rate includes an engineer. The time needed to mix really depends on… Read more

How much money does it cost for 2 people to do a song cover?

It’s $50/hour for use of the studio. Give us a call and and we can go over the process in more detail.

Studio 770 - Studio B Control Room

The whole staff at Studio 770 was great and took care of all of my concerns and the product was beyond my expectations. I was thrilled with the results. I will certainly be returning for all my audio needs. I've told all my friends and they are thanking me.

770 The studio(s)…read more There seems to be nothing wrong with studio A. Meant for live recording and bands. Studio B- Studio B is a small closet recording area with the rest used for sitting space and an office. Which the owner will come and use during your session (which is not in the contract/ wasn't at the time) making it nearly impossible to record. The owner will also leave the door open allowing outside noise to travel in, thus complicating a limited 3 hour session. The owner will not remove herself if you ask, she would rather become cantankerous and tell you "that's her office she can do as she pleases", which again is not in any kind of contact (at the time). The equipment needs updating because it always crashes or it's just not cleared properly. Studio C- Is a complete joke. There are no plug ins, the computer always crashes, Brian (who is supposed to run/ co-own this studio) has more pride in the fact that all of his Apple decides are connected rather than his engineering system. I can't tell you how many times my session was interrupted by is incoming calls, that of course, he was not there to answer. Should anything go wrong with the system you will be blamed for not asking for help sooner or an untrained (in said studio) engineer for not knowing what to do. The engineers If you find yourself here please GO TO JUSTIN OR TROY. Anyone else is a waist of time, they hardly listen and want to have creative liberties without getting the artist comfortable. This studio runs through engineers like water... but it makes sense once you're there. The owner. She seems to be a very quiet woman, but do-not hold her feet to the fire, boy. She does not follow her own contacts and the outlines there in. She will become enraged, uncooperative, uncomfortable, and down right unprofessional, if you speak up against something wrong. With the way she speaks to people when shes in the wrong and cannot justify it, is in itself unjustifiable. Over all, this studio, unless this is a hobby, will drain money from you instead of enhancing what you are trying to do. Overall if I could give 0 stars I would and just leave this review.
