I worked in Galveston for 2 years and went to this store all the time, it was literally down the road from my work. Heck, I think it's the only one on the island! I've always been greeted as I entered, and as I've been checking out my items the cashiers have always been friendly. The store is obviously beach-heavy when it comes to their merchandise, and whenever I've been in the store it's been clean, the shelves have been maintained, and I've had a good experience. The manager seems to make it a point to have a clean store. I have NOT dealt with this pharmacy or photo counter l so I cannot review those services. Overall, this is a decent Walgreens to visit.

They have most of the basics, so it's a great place to get a start. I usually stop at this place every morning for coffee or gas. Did not expect the disposition I got…read morefrom their clerk this morning. I got my coffee and saw a nice set of handkerchiefs/ bandanas while in line. I proceeded to get the set I wanted ,which was behind several others on a rack. I had to take the other ones off to get my choice. Putting the others back on the rack, I dropped one behind the counter. The clerk said rudely, " I'll just get the one you dropped," ,- totally unnecessary. The handkerchiefs could be picked up later as it was behind the counter and out of the way. Secondly, no comment was warranted, and might I add ,certainly not in a catty way. She was smart enough to recognize I dropped the nonperishable plastic wrapped item, while watching the gas pumps and the store. MM yeah, wise I like, wiseacres, I don't. I didn't say anything, but I'll be voting with my feet, and not coming for a while. When I return if the friendlier clerks want to know where I've been, an earful they'll get.
