We were staying in an Airbnb on the west end of the island. We had just arrived and needed some supplies for the week. We didn't want to drive all the way to the seawall, so we stopped at Seven Seas. Be prepared for tiny aisles, and tons of people to navigate around. They have most of the basics, so it's a great place to get a start. We ended up going to the Walmart later that week get items that we couldn't find at Seven Seas, but it was a good place to get most of what we needed. read more

I will start with the positives. The store is convenient, it smells great and sells quality meat sports. Now the issues. This store is the most overpriced grocery store in the state. The owners definitely are taking advantages of customers by overcharging on almost everything. (I paid $7 for a Coleslaw kit today that should have cost half that amount) some of the people who work at this store are totally disrespectful to the customers. The last checkout clerk I encountered today was a total grouch with a take it or leave it attitude. I have had a place on the West End of Galveston for the last 15 years and only stop at this store when I only need one item. If I need more than one item I normally drive 15 miles to Galveston. My advice to anyone renting on the West End, plan and buy before you get here or you will get clipped by Seven Seas. The locals and regulars already know this. read more

Fantastic selection. I just needed coffee filters and creamer to by in the morning... but was able to pick up plenty of meal prep items to get me by a couple of days! It's a little pricey but very convenient for West! read more

Loved supporting them through the years, but last visit my daughters were treated SO poorly from checkout woman. Threw the receipt down, threw the groceries down and was so rude. It was very targeted. Very disappointed that anyone would be treated this way. So sad that someone would treat another human so badly. read more

Fantastic little market on Galveston's West End after Jamaica Beach on the shore side of the highway. Makes the trip to stores in the 60s or 50s several miles away unnecessary leaving more time for everyone's favorite, quiet stretch of the island. Great meat selection, gas available if needed, even printable lottos if you're feeling adventurous and want to gamble. A few more higher end wine options would be nice. Cordial staff. read more

Absolutely best place found on Galveston Beach for groceries. Simple but honest selection. Really decent prices (one place I stopped was going to charge $8.99 per dozen for eggs! This store always had everything we needed so that we didn't have to drive all the way into town. Very friendly and helpful staff as well.

We spent the month of April at Jamaica Beach RV and found that Seven Seas was our go to place for beer and snacks. The longer we stayed the more we relied on Seven Seas for most of our food shopping. The convenience of Seven Seas trumps driving to Galveston for food or drink shopping. We found the store to be very clean, neat, tidy. The had the products we needed. The staff were very friendly. We will be going back to Seven Seas when we go back to Jamaica Beach . read more

I love this store. I visit the store at least 2 to 3 times per week. I do my big shopping in town but if you need something you may have forgotten or just to pick up some groceries for a dinner meal, they have everything. Awesome meat counter!! This store has almost everything. Every snack, food item, drinks, decent beer selection, toiletries, kitchen utensils, batteries, medicine, pots, pans, fishing gear, seafood, meats, sausages and jerky from Prasek's.... there was even a food truck in the parking lot from Shrimp 'n Stuff (one of the better restaurants on the island). So if you're visiting the beach or if you're in a beach house, they got almost anything you need. Two items they should carry that I did not see: bait and surf wax. We've been shopping at Seven Seas for years now, as we enjoy the quieter west end of the island. They have pretty much everything you could want out of a small grocery market. Staff are helpful, and friendly. As others have noted, they may not have 5 different brands of the item you're after, but they will have what you're looking for. They've got beach odds and ends, hats, sunglasses, towels, kites, sand toys, etc. Alot of small knick knacks as souveniers too in the front. We used to typically by lunch groceries before leaving Houston and heading to the island, but have stopped in favor or stopping through here and support small business. read more

Near Jamaica beach, this is about the only grocery store in the area - unless you want to drive 10+ miles into town. No thanks! Meats, produce, snacks, alcohol, ice, clothing, first aid stuff, convenient hours... they have just about all the basics you'll need, but at higher price you'd pay at big box grocers. Note they have a nice selection of red meat, but they don't offer much of a fresh seafood selection; they do have some frozen options. If you want fresh seafood, head to Allex's outside of Pirate's Beach. The staff was friendly both over the phone and in person. read more

They have very limited options for different brands of items BUT they pretty much have anything that you might need (coffee creamer, deli meats, snacks, etc). Well thought out store, using every square foot they have available to the best of their ability. Best meat selection on the island. I bought some chopped BBQ beef for friends and they really enjoyed it. I know the butchers personally, and they attest that they sometimes put prime rib and t bone in the briscuit melenge. They put Queen's to shame and are much better than Dickinson BBQ. Frito pie was good but could be better. As Billy Crystal's ersatz Fernando Lamas'es impersonation attests," It's not how you feel it's how you look". Fix this and they have no worries. read more

I absolutely love, love, love this grocery store! I've been coming to the West End of Galveston Island for years and I always make it a point to come to this store even if I don't really need anything. I love the costal vibe and the fact that you can go in their with beach hair, bedhead, or any other kind of look you might be sporting that day, and no one will think any less of you. While things might be a bit pricier here as compared to what you would pay if drove to a store on to the Seawall, the location, convenience and the variety of items that you will find at Seven Seas more than makes up for the slightly higher prices. Don't let the look of this place fool you! While they have your typical souvenirs and fishing gear in their isles, they also have culinary and non-culinary treasures hidden amount their isles (pun very much intended) such as pine nuts and white truffle olive oil; items that one would not expect to find in a location such as this. read more

This place is a life saver on the west beach! You name it Seven Seas has it. Only thing missing is liquor. Anything you need from food, beverages, beach toys, ice, toiletries and fishing gear. We love this little grocery store. It has the basics. Staff is always helpful. This is conveniently located in Jamaica Beach nearby the State Park and within a 5 minute drive from Pirates Beach. For being a beach village grocery store, I give it four stars One of my friends suggested ordering a burger from the deli counter the next time I was there. Stopped by today, ordered burgers to go...all seemed well until a microwave sound went off. They were zapping the patties!
