My wife had a stroke and started at Saint Peter's after we moved. The care of both PT (Anthony) and…read moreOT (Jessica) have made a tremendous difference in her recovery. The entire staff from the front office to the aides (and even Randall at the security desk) makes us feel welcome and seeing how far she has come is amazing. I would recommend Saint Peter's Sports Medicine to everyone

I've seen the best and worst of physical therapy centers. This is an average experience. This place…read moreis not a fraud, but also not consistent. They have many therapists so your experience will depend mainly on who you get. You may hit the jackpot, or bankrupt. A lot of equipment but a lot of it is for strengthening Rutgers athletes who are young and bounce back quickly. They seem best at strengthening, not so super at correcting specific problems. Maybe I had bad luck recently but I was rather disappointed with how my experience went. Overall a bit too "mass production" for me as a patient. I would say that if you feel your condition isn't improving, go ahead and make a change to another therapist or facility. You need to make yourself priority #1, #2, #3 and every number thereafter. I also note that while this place is, again, not outright fraudulent like some places, they charge a LOT. They tend to pad the bill with things like heat and ice and non-therapist supervised exercises in order to max the insurance payments. If you don't pay anything that's your business, but if you care about the principle or pay a portion of your bill, realize that the bill here is going to be quite a lot... like several TIMES what other places charge for equal or better treatment. I also agree with the reviewer who said you may have to deal with somewhat abrasive people at the front. Billing is also CHAOTIC. In that respect you are in the end dealing with a huge hospital business (Saint Peters) rather than a small physical therapy outfit.

My appt was for 2:15. I arrived at 1:55 to fill out paperwork. A minute after I arrived, a another…read morepatient arrived. He and I sat there for a long time, no one else was there, the receptionist during this time was calling patients and confirming appts for the following day. Although pleasant on the phone, once she hung up, she made some not very nice comments about them to the other staff nearby, and certainly within range of anyone in the waiting room to hear. By 2:35, the man in the waiting room with me asked the receptionist how much longer the wait was as he had another appt afterwards, The receptionist turned nasty, and immediately said "I don't know" and just when the man persisted by saying the last time he was there, he waited well over an hour to be seen and the receptionist said, I can't do anything about it, when you see the dr, tell him." As the man continued to speak, she got more rude each time, cutting him off telling him not to tell her, tell the dr. But THEN she said, "the dr. is in his office and doesn't even know yet that there are patients waiting for him, I haven't told him yet." WHAT??? We've been sitting there for 35 minutes already, he had a 2:00 appt and I had a 2:15 appt, and it's now 2:35 and she just said she didn't get tell the dr his afternoon patients were there already?? She then called the dr, and said you have two patients here waiting. Two minutes later, the man was called in, it was now 2:48. He came out at 3;10 and then I was called in five minutes later, an entire hour after my scheduled appt. I went in for my appt, and found Dr. Goldrich to be quite nice and kind, I was with him for 7 minutes. I complained to the receptionist as I was leaving about how poorly the office was run and she just said "I know." I'm not sure who is to blame here, the dr or the receptionist but in the end the practice belongs to the dr so ultimately, he is responsible for everything that occurs there. I never recommend this practice because of how it's run, how rude the staff is and how they clearly just don't care about treating their patients this way.
