Just come see me when you are back. He knew I would be few days beyond 30. I called to see if they were open the Saturday a couple days beyond 30. They aren't open Saturdays so I went in first thing Monday morning. As soon as I tell front lady why I am there he cones storming out from back yelling I can't return them beyond 30 days. As my wife said, having witnessed all the conversations, he was far to prepared. Worst he proceeds to say how I had said I would cut my trip short to be back in time. A pure lie. I said I was leaving hearing aids and he said they would be considered "abandoned property" like he knows that from experience. I was loud and didn't want have to yell across waiting room so I stepped closer. He said I was "threatening" him so he said he'd call police and picked up the phone. We left. I called Miracle Ear and the very nice lady there said she didn't understand why it being so close to 30 days why a problem. But they are franchises so corporate can only try arbitrate. It has been over two weeks and I have heard nothing back from shop or corporate. I am very disappointed and wish the store and corporate would have tried harder to reach an amicable agreement. Very weird experience.

Tosha reviewed how important it is to wear hearing aids because it will diminish the exposure to dementia. There was so much helpful information she shared that I didn't receive when I first was issued hearing aids five years ago. I was provided temporary hearing aids which were awesome. I went to Trader Joe's after my appointment with temporary hearing aids. I could hear conversations from the next aisle. It was crazy overload but cool. I think my first hearing aids never worked correctly. When my new hearing aids arrived, I was provided information how to use them in detail. Within days though, my hearing aids would go off and on so I returned to the office. Tosha made some tech adjustments on my cell. FYI, each cell is different so be patient and tinker with it. Overall experience is a FIVE star plus!! I'm so happy I can hear now and I wear them all day. Thank you.

For those who have cochlear implants: Dr Strickland wants to charge hundreds extra for services…read morethat are billed to insurance with codes that insurance will not cover. This equates to HUNDREDS out of pocket for the patient. My son has cochlear implants and she is the only doctor that will reprogram them for pediatric patients in the treasure valley so her office literally told me "she wants to be paid for her extra training" in this procedure. What I have learned: Even if it is out-of-network, you can have the office contact your insurance for a "network deficiency" form and the insurance company will allow your out-of-network provider be billed as in-network. We went to Luke's by doing that and everything was covered by insurance.

Today was my first appointment with Eagle Hearing after my PCP referred me. Located in downtown…read moreEagle off State St, a small plaza of businesses, the parking lot was already pretty full when I arrived on a Wednesday before 11 am. Fortunately, another vehicle was pulling out and I found a nice spot with a bonus of a little bit of shade. Upon entering the office, which was modern and clean, I was immediately checked in by the front office receptionist. I was called in almost precisely at 11 am, my appointment time. Stormy took care of me. She was very nice, knowledgeable, and did a great job of explaining everything. My audiology exam was more thorough than I've ever had. Once the exam was over, Stormy began to talk to me about my options. My hearing loss, especially on the left, is profound, as she showed me on the exam results. She explained that I did have hearing aid insurance benefits, and said that they would be less expensive, but in her opinion, I needed a custom hearing aid to maximize my ability to follow conversations, especially in public , like restaurants, where the noise level is significant. She then explained that, if I wanted to go private and deal with their office, they had three levels of hearing aids. I did not feel pressured at all, but I felt that I needed the best hearing aid to improve my quality of life. I did not want to try and save money and compromise my ability to understand others' communication, and participate in conversations out in public. Even watching TV requires closed captioning, which my wife does not necessarily appreciate. Stormy took molds of my ears, and I am to return in two weeks to be fitted with my hearing aids. I will have one week to decide if they are worth it before committing to purchase. I am looking forward to receiving my new hearing aids, and will be updating this review once I try them out and see how much I benefit from them.
