I have only had my hearing aids one year but the staff encourages me to come back every three months to have them checked and also to see how things are going. They ask questions that lead you to think of things that you may not have thought of that can improve your use of the aids. My hearing aid needed a new "retention tail" and I was informed brusquely by the curt desk clerk that I had arrived outside "drop in" hours. This is a :30 sec fix. Fortunately, another office worker heard my plight and jumped in to fix my device, which I can now wear comfortably. Drop-in hours now consist of 1 1/2 hours a day during working business hours. It seems really unnecessary that I should have to take a day off work for a 1 minute hearing aid repair. This has not been an issue in the many years I've been a customer/patient here. For the thousands of dollars I've paid for hearing devices, having simple support doesn't seem to be unreasonable. If it's not available, I'll have to find a new office in the future.

Then was told to see another doctor at the Kenmoor facility. Waited 2-1/2 months for appointment since i was a "NEW PATIENT" FOR RESULTS. Arrived for appointment on time to fill out paperwork. Overheard staff member tell another patient that our doctor was running late, by 2 patients, with each appointment from 45 minutes to 1 hour long. No courtesy call prior to my arrival to say "the doctor is running late". WOW!! Now i am rescheduled for another 1-1/2 months to see the doctor. In the meantime my issue has not been resolved. ENT CONSULTANTS are the only ENT in the area and network. I would recommend finding another ENT.

The teaching and follow up for a surgical procedure is lacking. When I had a follow-up appointment and my sutures were removed, I stated that I had some side effects since the surgery; nausea and dizziness. The M. A. told the Dr. on call and from the hallway (wasn't worth her time) told her that my symptoms were, "just a migraine". I know what migraine symptoms are. These were from the implant surgery. (B A H A). The M A then told me to call if I had any other problems. Why would I bother? Due to the lack of teaching, it became very infected. I was disappointed in the physicians. The audiologist (Nora) was fantastic and the MA was great as well. I would not recommend this office.

I had high hopes for the Ear, Nose & Throat center. They…read moresold me on a pair of hearing aids with features like being rechargeable and Bluetooth functionality. And after paying almost $4000 dollars for them it never crossed my mind that they might knowingly be selling me garbage. The Resound 3D app to control the Bluetooth and other functionality of the aids was crap. My audiologist James seemed to be well aware of that, after the fact. The first aid stopped functioning after a couple moths. I brought them in and they fixed it. A few months later the second one died. I brought them in yet again and this time they returned the entire set to Resound and gave me loaners made by PhoneAk. Only then did I realize that not only were the Resounds prone to failure, but literally every aspect of the PhoneAk were superior. The PhoneAk were lighter, had much better sound quality and did not need a third party app to make the Bluetooth operate reliably and well. By this time however I was beyond the return date. They replaced the Resound aids with new ones that functioned no better than the originals. I feel like I was Bait and Switched. Sold on functionality that the devices never possessed. And I am $4000 dollars on hearing aids that are half-assed. D. P. Bates
