Not saying they were bad just not the right fit. My oldest met with her twelve times (we were committed)....it changed his life! He had some great insight about himself and healing pertaining to my addiction. Same can be said for my middle boy which is the most recent (still going to sessions). After probably 10 or so sessions there has been massive breakthrough!! My wife and I have also picked up some golden nuggets when it comes to parenting and meeting the kids where they're at. Shawn has been a massive piece of the puzzle in getting the Whitley's whole and healthy again. I highly recommend if you need some help figuring things out. With that said, she's going to be honest and straightforward so be prepared for things to come up and emotions can run high. People can do with it what they want. We heeded to suggestions, and again, she is a major part in our family's "recovery". It's just what we needed.

Our first appointment I took off work to make sure I could get my daughter there on time, and once we pulled up to her house and rang the doorbell, we found no one was there. I immediately called and texted, with no response. So we waited in my car for 15min. Only to get a text saying that she thought our appointment was the day before and that she was at a conference. (If she thought that, why didn't she call me when she thought I missed our appointment?). So I gave her another chance, which I shouldn't have. After our first meeting, both my daughter and I liked Shaun, but her constant cancelling on us changed my mind. Several times, we were already driving to her house and I was texted 5-10min before our appointment time saying there was an family emergency and that she needed to reschedule. I believe we only had 4-5 sessions with her before my daughter decided that she didn't feel like Shaun was listening to her and was mostly talking about her own family issues. So we discussed it and decided we would give her one final chance. This was November-December 2018. Then upon our appointment date she asked to reschedule again so I said that's fine, and asked that we touch base after Christmas. But before this could take place, I hurt my hand on the Dec. 25th and had to go to the ER. So, I would not be able to afford the counseling until I got that bill paid off. I called her on the following business day to let her know the situation and she said that was fine. Fast forward to February 2019 and I receive an email from her website stating that my card was charged $85. I had not seen her since 2018 and out of nowhere she charged my card through her square ap! This caused my account to be over drawn and I immediately tried calling and texting her, no answer or response for at least 20min. So I wrote a msg to her through the email stating that I did not receive service (which I hadn't) and that my card needed to be refunded IMMEDIATELY! She came back through the "transitions" email stating that she responded within 5 minutes and cancelled the transaction. This was not true! She finally called and before apologizing, asked how I was? Feigning interest. I said that I needed my card refunded immediately and asked how/why she charged my card. She said, "it was just a mistake"! HOW?! We hadn't seen her since late November!! I made sure to remove my card from her square app's files, which she saved without me knowing! She only seemed to jump on the issue after I responded to her through her "transitions" email, correcting her statement of me having "issues" and cancelling several appointments.(All false, my issue was my hand and I rescheduled maybe 2 apts). Needless to say, FIND A DIFFERENT COUNSELOR!

I had a wonderful experience with Kelly Frye at Speech and Occupational Therapy of North Texas and…read morehighly recommend her as an OT / Feeding therapist. When I had a hard time finding someone who could take my 8-month year old son for feeding therapy, Kelly got us on her schedule. She was a huge relief during a stressful time. Over the next several months, Kelly worked with him weekly on both OT exercises and helping him improve his muscle structure in his mouth to learn to chew his food rather than thrust it out of his mouth (which you can imagine is very stressful for a baby starting solids). She was a calming and reassuring presence each week. She taught me exercises and techniques to use at home between sessions and was always available if I had questions or concerns (I haven't experienced that amazing level of support anywhere else for either of my children when they've needed medical care). She would send me details on what to bring for each session which made me feel confident too. She was flexible with which location we held our sessions which helped this working mother be able to get her son to the appointments. Thanks to Kelly's expertise we made huge strides and helped get my son back on track with his eating and be able to add more and more foods into his meals. I am so grateful for our experience working with Kelly. Now that we've finished our therapy program all I can say is that I miss seeing and working with her each week. Highly recommend Kelly!

I had one speech therapist (not at this clinic) tell me that my daughter had reached her potential with speech therapy services (which was devastating given she still had a significant lisp). I was referred to Smalltalk last May (2018) and from the first conversation with Holly Willis, I knew they were in it for the service of the child and this clinic was tremendously skilled. Holly listened to my concerns, sympathized with me and showed a genuine interest in what she could offer us in the form of therapy - it felt like she REALLY cared, not just business or trying to fit her into the schedule for the revenue. Holly really does care profoundly about every child she works with!! Holly paired my daughter with Trish because she felt it would be a good personality fit. Oh my goodness, was she so RIGHT!!!! Ms. Trish worked with my daughter consistently this past year starting at the very basic level and they clicked right from the start. Ms. Trish had to be very upfront with her sometime when she felt things were not progressing and she quickly got her back on track (this is HUGE, given working with a pre-teen is more challenging than when they are really little). My daughter made TREMENDOUS progress and I can honestly say that my daughter FINALLY does not have an articulation disorder!!!! EIGHT years of therapy and only ONE year with Ms. Trish and BOOM--- tremendous breakthrough and effective remediation! Why didn't I know about her earlier????!!!!! Ms. Trish was always available to assist with extra support via texts and have my daughter send her videos of her reading her homework assignment providing feedback right away. She changed things up as needed and was very flexible with our schedule. Trish showed a genuine interest and tender care of her both social/emotionally as well as helping her along the way gain the necessary skills to self-correct on her own and articulate with great confidence! The time and effort Trish spent with my daughter is priceless, she would do it in a heartbeat for yours too!! My daughter not only gained the confidence, support and lifelong skills, but she gained a friend and mentor. I got stung by a bee on a Thursday morning. Friday morning it started swelling and getting really…read moreitchy. I thought it was weird that I'd get an allergic reaction so late but I took Benadryl anyway. It didn't help. By Saturday evening it looked really bad so I reached out to Dr. Bonman to see if I needed to go to urgent care. She got on a virtual visit with me within the hour and diagnosed my INFECTION (not allergic reaction!) and prescribed me antibiotics. It was so quick and so easy. She saved me from having to drag my 6 month-old to urgent care on a Saturday evening right around bedtime. She probably spent more time cumulatively with them than all of the doctor visit hours combined in their lifetimes. If she doesn't have all the answers, she tirelessly seeks other colleagues and medical professionals to gain input before rendering a treatment plan or providing options. Dr. Bonman personalizes her outstanding professionalism with a sincere desire to get to know her patients and their families, and she has shared many of her own life experiences that have helped us in making decisions for my parents. Her expertise and personal care prompted us to begin using her as our family physician which ranges in age from 18 to 63. The rapport that she established immediately with our teenager is equally as outstanding as that wimy elderly parents.
