Also thought it wasn't good that the urinals were so close to the sinks. Shower pressure not great. Parking is a bit tricky being downtown Sausalito. They give you a free parking pass if you go out and get it. Wish they'd email it to you ahead of time to be more convenient. Overall, it's ok and I may return under the right circumstances but I do prefer a more spacious type of spa with more amenities.

The most concerning experience occurred when my husband was diagnosed with melanoma. After receiving such a frightening diagnosis, we waited and waited for an appointment and for information about what would happen next. We were frustrated by the lack of communication and ultimately contacted UCSF, where we were able to get an appointment quickly and received a clear explanation of the diagnosis and next steps. We've had other frustrating administrative experiences as well. I handle the medical scheduling for our family because my husband has a demanding work schedule. When I called to make an appointment for him, I was told that he needed to sign a HIPAA authorization form. I asked if they could email the form so he could sign it, but I was told he had to come into the office in person just to sign it. This seemed unnecessarily difficult. More recently, before making appointments, the front desk required us to pay outstanding balances immediately--including one bill we had not even received yet. We use an HSA to pay our medical expenses, so being required to make an unexpected payment on the spot was particularly frustrating. We have stayed with Southern Marin Dermatology because we appreciate the doctors and nurses and believe they provide good medical care. But dealing with the front desk has become increasingly difficult. I hope the practice takes these concerns seriously and improves its communication, billing practices, and overall administrative experience. Good medical care deserves an equally professional and compassionate front-office experience.

I was required to book via a third-party website and there is no option to select your massage therapist. They just assign you someone. If you want a woman for purposes of safety and comfort, too bad, you get who you get. If you book here you will pay $250 (with taxes, tip etc) for a cheap, oily massage, as I did. According to the menu we were handed, things that are normally included in massages - for example, targeting places of pain - are an extra cost "add on," which is absurd. The massage itself was terrible, we were soaked in oil afterwards and so was our clothing. Pants were ruined. This place is a total rip off. Be wary of anyplace that has many 5 star reviews from "new" yelpers who have never written reviews before. They have no actual details or info and may not be legit. P.S. The owner routinely harasses yelpers who write authentic reviews. (There is no rule that reviews have to be from this week. Nor are yelpers required to disclose the time and date of their visit. That's just creepy. The owner would be wise to heed constructive feedback rather than abusing reviewers.) Skip this place.
