Unlike previous psychiatrists I've seen, Dr. D actually takes the time to talk to you to better understand your situation and provides real guidance on how to do things better or different. He is considered one of the top experts in OCD in the area and was highly recommended by my psychologist. He even runs a monthly OCD group session. I don't understand the reviews from people saying Dr. D was "over medicating" them. My experience has been the complete opposite. In fact, I am taking half the medication I used to. What I also like about Dr. D is that he doesn't just rely on meds alone. He asks about your sleep, whether you're exercising, and considers many other environmental factors in your treatment. He also has a good sense of humor which is the complete opposite of my previous psychiatrists. Highly recommended!

Trust me, he makes your time worthwhile whether you see it quickly or it takes a bit. Medication- stop and think how long it may take to find the right combination. I did find a PAYING job and Dr. Mekles is very supportive and shows real interest. With Dr. Mekles - I'm able to taper my benzodiazepine slowly - with lots of support from the doctor. He's very patient and is very understanding and knowledgeable about withdrawal symptoms. He didn't push me - but prodded me to do this vital step The secretary is very helpful. She answers text messages immediately - to assist with medication renewal requests and appointment changes - when needed. Very professional indeed Medication management is the best I've ever had and he tries his best to keep my med count to a minimal level. I highly recommend Dr. Mekles - and thank you very much.

The provider did not review the data we submitted, then sent us for further testing that we later realized was repeated testing and ultimately we couldn't use any of the evaluation from NYC Psychiatric Associates for the school meeting (in two days) because it has been deemed invalid because the same testing had been completed four months earlier by the school and due to the time frame was invalid. We sent records from many different sources, and it is now our understanding had they actually reviewed that data the testing they recommended wasn't even warranted. We spent a lot of time and energy on these providers. They are kind, but ultimately careless, not thorough, and incompetent. Ultimately the "results" hurt our case with the school who we have already had many struggles with. What they provided us with was literally not usable and we told them many times what we had hoped to accomplish with that documentation. Now they say "we provided the diagnosis" and dismiss the other reasons we went to them. Justifying everything, and it was expensive. My family invested in it! They did not review all of the testing from other providers, and had they done so it is now our impression they should not of recommended further testing because it was unnecessary. My family feels like we were provided poor guidance, our concerns for our daughter were capitalized on for profit. We requested a refund since the documentation could not be used at the school as we had told them we needed multiple times (even sharing concerns it could not be the same testing multiple times) and I have multiple emails in my inbox in which they justify the quality of their work saying "we have her a diagnosis" - then minimize and deny the validity of the concerns we have posed regarding the entire experience, and they are refusing to refund us. They have offered to revise the documentation, but I have already submitted what they originally sent me to the school. They have lost credibility, and so have we. It has already been dismissed by the school as unusable. The school meeting is tomorrow, and the "magic bullet" we thought we had invested in is a ZERO and a major hit to our bank account. The staff seem very sweet well meaning, but results are NIL. Cold competence that gets results is far better than the lip service we received. They seem as though they genuinely care, but at the end of the day the results did not get us what we needed for our daughter. The staff seemed kind, but the competence simply wasn't there. Reviewing available data is important to the process and *standard in this field and it shocked us the way things have transpired. 100% unprofessional. When we had issues, I had to ask many many times before a supervisor ever even got back to me. A literal nightmare. This has now been a back and forth email for over a week with no refund in sight. I'm sick of this situation, and we are already so stressed addressing things with the school this has just been another problem. They knew we had limited resources walking into this, and we feel used and burnt out and like we have less faith in providers of this caliber than we did when we walked into this situation looking for help. I encourage you to strongly question any of the recommendations they give you and "evaluations" they recommend and whether or not that is even warranted. If you have alternate providers that you trust, I would start there instead. They profited off of a vulnerable child and scared family in out experience... and when they made mistakes, they doubled down. Not a place I would invest in to help my child

Dr. is escriptiing the same meds while the consumer tries to explain how the medications were making them feel. I endorse and recommend Dr. Champion unconditionally. I filled out my paperwork and told the Receptionist that I was refused to see Dr. Jain in her other Practice in Sparta, NJ because I'd seen her associate, Dr. Kloupar (another bad one, which I don't recommend as she's also unprofessional and rude.) BUT the Receptionist at Dr. Jain's Office in Hackettstown specifically told me that the 2 offices weren't in ANY way associated and that these were completely different practices. Then the Receptionist slipped away to where the Doctor was and Dr. Jain came in and told me that she does NOT prescribe Benzos (medications like Xanax, Ativan, Klonopin, Valium) and that I'm in the wrong place and should go. I could see she was really upset. I then told her that I'm willing to try a different route and want to get off the Xanax I'm currently taking. She then got very irate and said NO! That I should've told the Receptionist I took this medication before making an appointment (like that's MY JOB and like I knew she didn't prescribe these meds.) She then told me to leave in a VERY rude, extremely unprofessional and downright mean way. I was so shocked I just said ok and left. I'm so angry and upset! This is WRONG! All this has done is made my already EXTREME Anxiety problems escalate and again shaken my faith in the Psychiatric Profession (at least here in NJ.) How cruel! And I promise I'm NOT exaggerating! I think she was angry that she wasn't going to get my $225 since her Private Practice DOES NOT take ANY insurance. Anyway I DO NOT AT ALL recommend anyone seeing this highly unprofessional and uncaring person. Unbelievable! And so sad... Also I want to add that the Receptionists in the Sparta Office (Highland Psychiatric Associates) are also rude and unfriendly. The only reason I went to see Dr. Jain in her Private Practice is because I saw Dr. Kloupar in Sparta, NJ (this location) and got nowhere because she was SO closed-minded to SO MANY medications and side effects. She didn't believe me when I said something made my anxiety worse because it wasn't supposed to. She treated me with disrespect and was very rude and cold. So I decided maybe I could see Dr. Jain there. So I called Highland Psychiatric and was curtly told that once you see one Doctor there you can under no circumstance see another. Also I should mention I DO have insurance! I'm just so desperate for help and tired of waiting 6 weeks for appointments that I was willing to pay even though I can't afford it. And for this I get kicked out of an office by an unfeeling, cruel Doctor. This is absolutely uncalled for! I hope someone out there believes me because I have no reason to lie or embellish. I'm not out to hurt anyone and that's precisely why I'm writing this. So no one else gets hurt like I did.
