They are unorganized, so I stopped going there and switched to Stony Brook Hospital Hematologists. I first tried seeing Dr. Yelda Nouri. She quickly stated something briefly. Then she rushed me out the door. I tried to ask some questions. She replied in about five words. Then she left the room to make more money by seeing more patients. She does not care about patient's health; works only for money. Dr. Nawaz is brilliant and kind, yet runs 45-60 minutes late. The Patchogue location has poor quality sensors for the water to turn on in the restrooms. The water turned on for only one second, off four seconds; on again for one second; then no more water at all from the faucet. I have never experienced such poor water sensors before. I almost began to bleed caused by so-called blood specialists. They seem to have no idea what causes eczema. My fingers within two minutes became cracked, peeling and almost bleeding from this location. Patients with eczema, beware. In general, NY Cancer and Blood Specialists has some good doctors, some not so good, and the quality of everything else is poor.

Once I completed my paperwork (FYI they take many different insurance plans!) my practitioner, Deborah, greeted me and showed me to my treatment room. Before we even got started with the acupuncture we first sat down to discuss my medical history and why I was there to seek treatment. Deborah was very thorough going through this process and took time to explain various aspects of my diet and how and where I could improve to help and enhance my treatment. After we got through all of that we got started. Deborah explained the entire process, including what she was doing adding why she was choosing which spots. I always show up on time to my appointments. I thought my appointment was for 11:15. I arrived and nobody mentioned to me that I was late or anything and they just cut my massage short. When I went to checkout I said she just did the express massage it's okay but if you can change it so I just pay for that and they told me I was late and had to pay for the full service. I was honestly shocked because I truly had no idea I was late. They claimed they called and left me a voicemail at 11 but they did not, I live 5 mins away I would have ran there if I got that call. Only confirmation I received was 3 days before the service. I used to work in the service industry and I just feel I should have been told I was late and maybe offered to move my appt.
