I had a wonderful experience here! My fiancé booked me the island rejuvenation package that included a body scrub, Swedish massage and a facial. The package also included tapas and champagne. Effie completed my body scrub. She was great and very personable. I felt comfortable being butt-ass naked (under the sheet) during my scrub. After the scrub was a shower. The shower inside the room was nice and refreshing. Jenn completed my Swedish massage. Before beginning she asked me if any parts of body was off limits and how much pressure I wanted/preferred. She really cared about my comfort level. Jamie completed my facial. She asked questions about my skin prior and my skin routine at home. She really cared for and about my skin. After my three treatments I had a small tapas plate of some fresh veggies, orange slices, hummus and crackers. I also had some champagne. The spa itself was very clean. I just had my 6th session at Island Salt & Spa , my only regret that I haven't done my Yelp review sooner...plenty of parking in the rear of the building, the back entrance is closed but their neighbor Sayville Bean coffee house allows you to use their entrance (after your spa session enjoy with coffee or fresh squeezed juices) the location on Main St is historic the spa is a beautiful walk up ..as you enter you feel the Tranquility,, I've always had ease of making my appointments, the front staff or polite, wonderful patient and extremely helpful, Rafaela, Gabriella, Pam, and Katie, are fantastic..my masseuse Nina , I don't have words to describe how amazing she is, she's very knowledgeable, her technique she uses as my therapist,,, are absolutely therapeutic and relaxing, when I leave my sessions, I feel like a new person, my body is so relaxed, all my pain and aches go away, I feel like I'm 10 years younger than 25 pounds lighter, having Nina during my Session is so relaxing I feel like I am in the Paradise oasis, I highly recommend the Salt room, as soon as you walk in the ambience takes you to another place that instantly you feel your stress, go away, the salt, air infusion with the combination of a dehumidifier, really lowers my stress level, and I can breathe so much easier, the massage tables are heated, you first start out with a relaxing foot bath, then, afterwords you get a deep tissue, Swedish massage, the scented oils that they use really reinvigorates your skin, I especially like the citrus massage cream that she uses for my feet,, every inch of my body afterwards feels like I've been healed,, The entire session is almost 2 hours, and every moment of it, do you feel like you're in another world far from any stress, you'll feel like you don't want the session to end,, afterwards, there's a wonderful, delicious, charcuterie board, with some sparkling champagne,, They offer deep tissue, gentle, massages, hot stones, aromatherapy they also do facials, body treatments, mud wraps, And couple massages are also available.. I haven't had another therapist, because I am beyond happy with the exceptional service of Nina, I highly recommend her if you can book an appointment, you would not be disappointing, again she's very professional pleasant knowledgeable always asks me where the problem areas are, before she does work on my body. This is my first experience at Island salt and spa, and I was very disappointed. I'm not from the area so I accidentally put in the wrong 55 Main St. in Patchogue. I called them to let them know. I was gonna be six minutes late and I showed up at 2:05 on the dot for a 2 o'clock appointment. I didn't even get in the door and the woman was rushing me to the back. I tried to ask a receptionist if they had anything for a massage after. She literally said no to me like she couldn't believe I would even ask that question. I rushed to the back as soon as I get in the room the woman proceeded to tell me they're cutting my appointment because I was five minutes late. I totally understand if I was 1520 minutes late and I worked in a salon and spa for many many years so I understand staying on schedule. But seriously five minutes.! I was so stressed out. I I even told the woman that I called to let them know. I was running five minutes late. It was an accident. My facial was average nothing to write home about. She did a good job. Ended my appointment at 2:50. Because God forbid we went to 255 it would've ruined everything. I wanted to book a massage but the way I was treated I'm not going back in that place. upon writing my review, I see I'm not the only one with this experience. My Daughter & I tried this spa for the first time over the weekend. Unfortunately, we would not return and would not recommend. Pros: Everyone was friendly and nice, the spa was clean and had a calming atmosphere. Cons: We both had signature facials, during the facials more time seemed to have been given to facial/shoulder massage than skin care. The information given about the product used, condition of our skin and possible future product, (none suggested), was minimal. Both estheticians neglected to ask if the pressure was ok during the treatment. It's difficult to want to speak up during a treatment to say, this just isn't feeling right without seeming like you are trying to tell them how to do their job. Maybe the way they do facials here is different/just not ok for us. After a while the repetitive circular motion of hands made my facial felt like sandpaper on my sensitive skin. Also, the repetitive tough dragging of a wash cloth under my chin didn't feel good. The combination of pressure/ wash cloth used/product felt like too much. It just didn't feel right. On my way home my skin felt irritated and not refreshed. We have had many facials, this spa is not for us. read more

This put a dark cloud over the entire experience. the massages & facial were good, but after the nasty welcome it took half of the session to destress & get in the zone. if you are going to a spa, customer service should be the number 1 priority of the staff. it was my third time there and honestly kind of disappointed. I got an hour salt room massage for my wife and I for her birthday. We were on time but there was someone paying / ahead of us in line so by the time we got to our room it was about 11:05 (after we peed too! I'm pregnant so i went before I left the house... but you know how that goes lol) The massage ended at 11:50 on the dot and my wife and I looked at each other and was like was that really short??? I thought maybe I paid for a 45 min massage but I looked online and the salt room was an hour massage on their website. 15 minutes is a long time to cut off. I understand they have to wait for us to get dressed (which took 3 minutes) and then change the sheets....but then why advertise it as 1 hour on the website? Afterwards they have a small bottle of champagne and some crackers / hummus, but the way it is set up is that you are kind of in the middle of all the employees talking / people walking back and forth / them rushing to get the next people in...its just not crazy relaxing I would say for the price you pay. read more

Island Salt and Spa is amazing. This is the second time coming in with my fiancé for a couples message in the salt room. They started us with a foot bath (30 mins) and then on to the massage! The massage was incredible and very soothing. We had Effie & Diana who were both great, personable and accommodating for our asks and target areas. The massage was over an hour, and ended with a foot scrub. They wipe you down warm towels to clean off the products they use. The whole experience is around 2 hours. When you are finished, they set you up with Prosecco, crackers, cheese and fruit. It's a 10/10 experience and the spa itself is beautiful. read more

Wow! Wow! Wow! Honestly wish I knew about Island Salt and Spa Sooner because this place = heaven. I had no idea that all it takes to feel like a million bucks is to have a nice, relaxing day off with my wife and enjoy massages and facials together. The entire staff here goes above and beyond to ensure you are enjoying yourself the whole time you are there and is sooooo good at what they do. The massage and facials were both 10/10 and not only do I feel amazing but my face looks it too. We did an hour massage in the salt room and we both got facials, such a perfect day and they gave us such a cute little spread afterwards (with champagne) to wind down! We ended up going to crickets accross the street and then the Sayville Chocolatier for desert after to get the full Sayville experience! This place was absolutely so relaxing and accommodating for our bachelorette party! We had six girls! Three received a 90 minute massage while the other three were in a salt relaxation room. Then we switched. They allowed us to drink champagne and eat food that we brought! The staff was kind and considerate but the boss was a bit short with us at the end. She tried charging us each $40 more than our original price when we made reservations a month ago. We got it sorted out but it was an annoying way to end a relaxing morning. They were very accommodating and made sure we were very comfortable. We were given slippers, robes, and bags to keep us cozy. In the salt room, there are recliner chairs, pillows, blankets, and music. It was the most wonderful way to spend the morning! Overall it was a lovely experience. During my facial the music stopped halfway through, changing the ambiance as my room was right next to the parking lot. I spent the rest of my facial listening to car engines starting etc which was distracting. My facialist also didn't speak to me at all or tell me anything she was doing, or offer skin recommendations. I don't even know what was used on me, no one said anything. i was pushed to purchase add ons. and when I say pushed I mean, even while she did the facial she said, "oh it would've been so nice if I did this. if you go anywhere else, I might not come out as good". To put the icing on the cake, I lost my diamond earring there. I realized as I pulled off and asked them to look. No one called me back and when I called to check if they found it, they were unfazed. And I for sure lost it here bc I had on both earring at the beginning and they insisted I kept it on during the facial. no care was given to me. I noticed this spa while walking by and thought it looked so pretty. I decided to treat myself to a massage and a facial. The massage was very nice. I don't think anyone realized I was there for 2 services because everyone said goodbye and I said I have the facial too, then waited in the room I was massaged in (no robe, relaxing waiting area, etc.). Then I went to the facial room where a lot of time was spent prepping. During the facial the esthetician tried to upsell me a few times and was quite pushy. Later on she made a comment about my "budget" which I found offensive considering I was spending over $300 there. She said that with my budget I probably shouldn't get the soap sold up front and should try Neutrogena. She was a nice woman so I don't think she meant to be hurtful but that kind of stuck out for me, unfortunately. read more

Clean and beautiful place but we were freezing cold. The beds are not heated and they don't have warm blankets or socks for your feet and you have to take your shoes off. Keep this in mind and dress warm and bring socks. Had the works done. Foot bath, massage, cranial massage and scrub. Thor was great and considerate. Facial was 'fluff' didn't get or feel results I get from other facials. People that work there and their friends that come in are LOUD so the quiet ambiance is ruined by all the chatter.
