I think HeartCore Leadership can be a lot of things in hindsight. When I heard about Leadership from a trusted coach, I jumped on the offer quick. The specific (money) offer was only good for a short time. There were a few red flags for me upon signing up. First it was the 12 hour days and then it was the rules. 12 hours days just aren't for me and I knew that. It doesn't always mean that I'm stuck in a belief system if I know I wouldn't enjoy that length of a day. I also saw the rules and they reminded me of when I was a child. I understood, to a degree, some of the rules in order to keep order, but some of it really reeked of lack of bodily autonomy. But, because I was deeply in a belief that I needed to get my business going and maybe this will fix things, I said oh well. Oh well, to the things that feel repugnant to me. The first day of Vision comes and I almost quit before that day was up. It wasn't just 12 hours, but a few hours of homework after that. It kind of reminds me of torture - sleep deprivation. The coaches - most weren't very seasoned. All that was required of a person being a coach in HCL is they have to enroll someone into the program and graduate. On the first day, there were glaring red flags - yelling, name calling, making fun of people, people tattling on each other for breaking the rules, getting yelled at for breaking the rules, shame-based exercises and experiences. Disagreeing would get someone either kicked out or spoken to as if they will be kicked out. There was also a ton of jargon that we used. Overall, in hindsight, it felt very culty. Not wanting to wake up at 6am for a team meeting was me not being a team player. The thing is, yes, all these instances, I can absolutely learn from and I have. But, the biggest thing I learned is, that I don't need to be in spaces or containers where people are being taught to be abusive in the name of personal growth. I even became more harsh when coaching people, super into the breakthroughs, and the wins. During this time, I was super committed to the program and I became a different person, but not exactly in a good way. There is a deeper way to grow and that is actually love. Love can be tough at times, but if all the coaching is is "tough love", it's just continual repetition of bad habits. There were a lot of manipulating marketing tactics to get people to sign up. Enrollment was also, in my opinion, a manipulating tactic. The steps that I was given felt so disingenuous when I tried to enroll people. It felt so repulsive so I just stopped. The thing is - not everything is a belief system. Sometimes feeling repulsed by something is God/the light inside you telling you that what you are doing isn't what's best for you. Sometimes calling a spade a spade is good. I'm sure other people experience completely different things in this container. Once I graduated, I was 'convinced' to sign up for a year program and I readily did. After two days of not being involved in anything HCL, I felt so much better and knew that doing another year of leadership was not going to be for me. I was able to get a refund. I remember an experience where I was really dissociated from being overstimulated and people talking at me. It was asinine because if I knew what was good for myself in that moment, I would have excused myself and taken time for myself. These coaches don't know how to guide people out of shutdown so talking at me did absolutely nothing. Plus I was told that since I'm aware that I shutdown, that I must be doing it on purpose. In my experience, to truly heal large amounts of dissociation, you need to be in a safe space to breath and allow the walls to come down. Accusing someone of purposefully shutting down is insane coaching. Another one of those, it's just a belief system. And yes, in the grand scheme of things it is. There's almost always a thought, belief, or emotion that creates everything in someone's reality and it's almost always unconscious until you make it conscious. I also witnessed a trainer tell a person she can't take her prescribed medication if she is going to move forward with being in the container because of the 'rules'. I now know that being abusive to myself doesn't make me strong like I thought it did. I no longer want to be in situations where I have to choose to shrink myself, can't disagree without repercussions, can't renegotiate rules without repercussions, can't renegotiate deadlines, and see shame-based techniques being used on people. I don't need to abuse myself to grow and I don't need to abuse yourself to be tough. This experience was simply a repetition of my childhood, so I learned but also, I wouldn't do anything like this again. Plus there is a difference between belief systems and soul level intuition. My business fell down after the pandemic and within two weeks of working with Heartcore I closed an 8500 client. Then I also enrolled 5 new people in my new "From Writer to Leader" small business group for writers with a mission at $4000 each as well as the first five people in my paid for writing group. Beware of highly questionable business practices at HEARTCORE BUSINESS or HEARTCORE LEADERSHIP or any other name associated in any way with SHANDA SUMPTER. My wife got caught up in the daily free sessions for the first introductory sequence ("free" actually cost $60USD). Then she got upsold to a subscription to Shanda on Demand which is a bunch of more videos devoid of any actual program. Shanda talks up herself and AI for content creation a lot. But there is no legitimate business program there at all. Within days they tried to upsell her to a $2,500 USD course for 4 months, but she needed to decide immediately to get the discount - the usual pressure tactics basically. When I asked what the course was all about and what she would get, she didn't know. But she was convinced she needed it. So I researched them, and found out that there is no program, that the content while motivational has no business depth and their techniques for extracting money from people don't pass my business ethics smell test. So we cancelled the subscription and didn't sign up for the course. We requested the refund for the subscription. But they never respond to that. There was even a zoom call with a very junior person who basically claimed "it" was in the contract. Of course, they never issue receipts let alone contracts. All to say, no refund came in April. Then on June 7th, another $30USD charge on the credit card shows up! We have again requested a refund. But because they don't communicate and don't give refunds, I have now disputed the June charge and the old April charge with the credit card company. HeartCore massively oversells and grossly under delivers. I paid $10,000 for a year-long program (it's likely significantly more now), and got less than 50% of what was promised. I look back and realize the program was not well organized, outlined, or spelled out before enrolling. They put you on the spot and apply pressure to enroll. I know this is how many coaching programs are run/sold... and I learned my lesson the hard way. There are many other similar options that are FAR more fleshed out with content, more organized (HeartCore provided material on a membership site for only 3 months - out of a year), and of FAR higher value than HeartCore. I'm in one now and already 2 months in I am honestly shocked how much more actionable, practical, organized content I have access to. In 2 months it's FAR more than in the 'year' of HeartCore's program. My guess is right now I have almost 10x the amount of content in 2 months than in HeartCore's yearlong program. Poor service, no professionalism, bad programs and terrible reviews. They do not have the credentials to be teaching business and yet they promote fake programs with dubious results that they do not meet. Then when you want a refund they refuse and use illegal and deceptive tactics. I have attended a few free or low-cost events and have seen Shanda speak at events. I never believed she had the credentials to provide anything of value to me and reading these reviews (the honest ones which are 1 and 2 stars) proves my point. What I find particularly egregious about Shanda is her illegal policies regarding early program termination - which she must allow by law without penalty. She learned this policy from another awful 'business coach', Suzanne Evans. Read the reviews and consider that someone who has a lot of 1 and 2 star reviews isn't going to honestly have 5 star reviews. The leadership program is LGAT - large group awareness training. Look it up and you'll see that it's an approach based on peer pressure and emotional manipulation. You're labeled as not a leader if you don't convince other people to sign up for the $5,000 program. We were taught how to manipulate people by saying things like - "is your life worth more than $5,000?" and "if you were really fighting for your life you would commit to this". The PACE program is pre recorded live classes and 20 minutes a month with your coach with a price tag of $15,000. That's not the end of spending though. You have to hire a VA, set up a website, pay for graphics, etc. There was always something more you had to pay for. The program was one size fits all. No nuance, no customization - just plug and play and thousands for Shanda. It's not individual and your "coach" is just a boot licker/minion of Shanda. I expected to get business coaching, not a pre recorded message. It taught me nothing about ethical business, just about SELL SELL SELL. She basically stole the multi level marketing approach and applied it to her business. I had a result they would call successful but I couldn't bring myself to commit to preying on people looking for help. That's what Shanda does and that's what she wants you to do. If she was actually good at being a business person she would teach things other than sales funnels and poaching audiences from other experts. I took a basic coaching package with Shanda Sumpter, and was very disappointed with her lack of expertise. She simply "winged it", gave us the impression that her marathon training was more important than our coaching sessions...just terrible overall people skills, I was stunned by her attitude and dropped out. I initially joined Heartcore's leadership program upon the recommendation of a former client of mine -- at the time we were close, and she said she wanted everyone on her team to be up to speed. She supported me with payments, etc. It felt really forced at the beginning though, no lie. However, the leadership program was honestly one of the best experiences of my life and I broke through so much of my BS. I don't really think you could get better leadership coaching than that. There are no recordings and so you get to really be on your game to show up and transform. However, my experience with their other business coaching? Sub-par. I really don't feel like I got the same level of coaching out of it. Not exactly thrilled that they lock you into such huge commitments on a 12-month plan, hide a contract Into the checkout, and then you're stuck following through with it unless you pay a big buy-out fee. This was one of the worst companies I've ever purchased from. Shanda makes false claims about success rates, they don't even ask you if you hit your target so how would they know if "95% success rate" she sneaks into the sales process... "oh i can't make $$$ promise but..." If you are from anywhere but USA forget getting any live coaching. you'll need to attend at 3.30 am for most of it so you won't get any feedback on your progress. it will be all replay, you can watch youtube for that. The coaches in the FB group don't answer most of the time and the feedback from the people is like the blind leading the blind. If there is a problem they patronise and gaslight you, try to make out you're a failure when the system doesn't work. it's so hit and miss, it doesn't build any consistent sales as they say it will. now for the POD coaches, they are just people who have done the program, they are not qualified coaches and are useless. "great job, keep going" was my feedback... hahahaha it's laughable. I regret having participated in this cult-piramid scheme mix out of trust of a close friend, and I wished I trusted my instincts. This a not a healthy environment for people to grow and deal with their issues. It is misleading, and deceiving tactics can be traumatizing, and they are not liable. It is 101 conditioning training to make you react how they want, based on shame, force participation, and excessive control mechanisms like sleep depravation and constant check ins. All the conditioning tactics are to slowly take away your autonomy. They are not master trainers or coaches, they are master manipulators. They wrap all their manipulation tactics under a veil of jargon and so-called "leadership." They prey on your traumas, shame and vulnerabilities to make money, and half of the program is getting you to enroll more people into it, which is now mandatory for graduation and shame you if you don't, while their leaders relax in Puerto Rico in this terrible money grab machine. The whole program is made to make you feel as crap and finish with a cleansing so you don't bash them outside of the program. They prey on vulnerable people and take over their lives. I joined heart core business a month ago before I discovered how much money I had to pay to get the business going. To join it's $400.00/month for a 12month commitment. A virtual assistance was $35hr. There is another monthly fee for $50.00/month but what put the iceing on the cake for me is $1200.00/ month for a tech for them to build your website minimum 3 months commitment $3600.00 total. You literally don't have a choice because they made it were you have to get a tech person because it's to complicated to do it yourself. Or you can pay $250.00/month for 6 hrs worth of support( I was told that it will take 20 to 30 hrs to build a website ) anything over 6hrs is $35hr you do the math. I could not afford this program. If you can afford to pay the fees then it will probably work out for you. But if you are on a fixed income with car notes/ rent ect...I Would Not! Recommend this program read more

I recently signed up for this course and within hours decided against pursuing. HC continues putting off refunding my money. If they are masters at transforming peoples lives, give me my money back without a hassle. They advised me that I signed an agreement stating the fees of $3700 was non refundable. They have provided me nothing and still refuse to give me my money back. Who does that? The course is also filled with exercises ripped off from EST and other pseudo-psychological approaches. I suspected this was a scam but went ahead anyway. I signed up for their program with full intentions of attending and having my life "changed"....but when life threw me a curve ball months before the program started, they refused to refund my money. I emailed them at least 7 times and at one point Desiree asked me for an explanation, in which I gave and then zero response to any emails for months! Finally today I got an email stating no refund. The program has ended and I've not participated or logged in or anything. Desiree stated that they "tried to email" months ago but it was blocked by the server, which is a complete lie. She also said she can't refund bc all fees have been paid....however I cancelled well before the two other debits were to hit my account. This is a complete scam and I will be reporting to the BBB as should everyone else. $5000 gone!!!! Worst company ever! Do not, I repeat, do not believe their lies. read more

I have had the misfortune of dealing with this company 3 times. The first was a good experience. So I invested higher. The second I bought something from them that I could not do the dates for, they did not have the dates upon purchase and said they would work with anything. It was higher ticket (4 figure) and they would not honor a refund that I requested DIRECTLY after I told them I could not get off of work to attend. The third time (I know... I should not have trusted them again, a snake is always a snake). But it was only a $7 offer so I thought it wouldn't be a big risk. Plus, Shanda is always talking about being Christian so I thought maybe they aren't usually this deceitful and I caught them at a time with bad management. I understand that they have a big business. Now I know they are simply there to be scamming the middle class with no intention of actually having the "heart" to help them. They do NOT care if you can't do their crap they just want your money. Someone should do something about this company. Well, for this $7 ticket, they tagged me for an additional $197 charge for another event. I NEVER approved this charge and they will not refund me. You can learn some (emphasis on some) things from Shanda but do NOT trust them with your credit card information. NOT good people. **She talks all the time about the negative things people say about her under the guise of 'tough love' that others can't handle... I can hear my mom reminding me now, "Listen to people when they talk, they will tell you everything you need to know about themselves." The truth is, both she and her husband are demeaning, rude and feel they are better than the people who are giving them all the money that they think separates them from the world. They pretend that it is others' fault for not having "leadership" (such a load) and why they don't get results. I decided to quit at the end of the first day. The fake crying and piano music during closed eyed meditation felt like brainwashing/reprogramming and was so tacky I just had to leave. $2000 gone. Even though they offered us our money back in the morning if we didn't agree to the strange ground rules - I should have quit then. One of the first things they preach is accountability and the importance of your word. They say the reason you've been unsuccessful to this point is because of your inability to remain true to your word. I was told Ash would be giving me a call to discuss my resignation but its been two months and I haven't heard from him. Apparently integrity of word doesn't apply to management, only to the people that take the program. Its very obvious that this program is a cash cow (200 people per session or approx. $500,000 revenue per session!) If they had a good product they'd stand by a money back guarantee. Nah, they'd rather take the money. I know this course helps some people immensely. My neighbor was the one who sold me on it. It was not for me though and I'm still mad I spent the money. read more

"People over profit" is this company's mission statement and it's total BS! I participated in a free week long training on building income which got me so excited that I made a full investment to join their twelve month entrepreneur program however they weren't set up for all who joined. It took twelve days to get set up with a coach, the phone lines were inconsistent with reception, I received apologies from the VP and staff as the service I was really excited about (virtual tech support through their other biz called Heartcore Worx) wasn't available for eight weeks and then I went to login to access modules and the site wasn't working! This all happened within 30 days of purchase and trying to give the company the benefit of the doubt with left and right I was met with disappointments , in the end they offered to refund me and charge me monthly but "couldn't" after further review. This is deplorable business behavior and I've never been so horrified by a company's behavior that's supposed to be about empowering entrepreneurs. read more
