The thought of picking up a paint brush to get my kitchen done just made me ill. I hate climbing up and down ladders and when I looked at the cabinets and having to lean over them to paint just wasn't in the cards for me. I recently hired Juli from Paint Color Help to pick out my color and so I decided to hire painters to get the job done so I didn't procrastinate for a month or take forever painting my kitchen by myself in small sections. I found an ad on Craigslist and setup a free estimate the next evening...I met with Maynard who gave me a fair price and he had painters available for the next day. I gave him a deposit and a key to my house. The painters went and got the paint for me (YAY#1), painted my kitchen - even behind the refridgerator! (YAY#2), left the key under the mat (YAY#3) - nothing in my house was missing or damaged (YAY#4) and I paid him the balance over the phone with my credit card. They made everything super easy for me - the work was top notch and I would use them again. The one and ONLY reason I didn't rate them 5* was because they tracked in alot of dirt and the floors were a mess after they left - it would have been nice for them to have swept it up. But the paint job was amazing!

It was a very sloppy and unprofessional job! I spent over two (2) hours cleaning up after they left (in which they didn't even bother to tell me that they were finished and leaving). I will not be recommending their work to anyone due to the very poor workmanship and lack of quality. I have all sorts of things with paint on them now to include concrete, grass, landscaping, rock, fountain, pots, grill cover, etc. There is cardboard sitting on top of my roof. There are areas that were not painted. There are areas that were not caulked.

We are now in July, and he has failed to complete the job and continues to not show up when he says he will or answer any calls. Him and his team were supposed to smooth out all of our walls and paint. They did not smooth out our walls correctly. They did some rooms right and then completely didn't do other rooms when the whole time he said the project was taking long because they wanted to smooth them all out correctly. He painted our cabinets and in the dinning room they are very streaky, as shown in the photos. He was supposed to fix this. He did not put back the countertops for our cabinets in both the living and dining room as you can see in the photos. He also took our mantle so he could match it to the new butcher block countertop that he was putting in the dinning room. Who knows where that is now. He was supposed to put hardware on all the cabinets and drawers and as you can see from the photos those were not done. You can also see from the photos that the light fixtures are not placed. They were supposed to replace the light fixtures with new ones. One, they did not think to take the old light fixtures down so that they could properly paint to fit the new ones. As you can see from the photos, we're left with big circles that we will have to find someone to come and retexture and paint and then place the new light fixtures. They painted the cabinet in one of the bathrooms. There was glass on the cabinet doors. That is now missing as well. Every week he has said that he would be getting these things done and those days would come and he would be nowhere to be found. I met with him a week prior at my new house and told me what he was going to complete that day. Right after I left, he ended up just leaving and not completing any of it. He met with my husband the next day and told him they would then be completed then. We came the next day and they were not done. I met with him on Monday to see what the deal is and schedule the rest of the project. Today, Wednesday, July 14th he was supposed to have his team out here to finish all today and tomorrow. He even confirmed with me the night prior. However, no one has been here all day and every time you try to call, it goes straight to voicemail. That isn't the first time all of this has happened as well. He was also supposed to install a dryer hookup and that was not completed but has said he was going to take care of it for weeks now. Now I have a washer and dryer coming tomorrow and will not be able to use it. This has not been a good experience and has put a lot of undue stress on me and my family. It especially doesn't help when I am 8 months pregnant and trying to get our home ready for my new baby which he was aware of. I just hopes this helps someone else not have to go through the same stress. He comes off very professional and like he has everything together at first but it is not that way.

We were looking for someone who could…read moretroubleshoot and fix both electrical wiring and ethernet networking wiring (both were a mess) and he did a great job! This house had a spaghetti mess of wiring, much of it looked like old, poorly done DIY from former owners. We needed someone who could make sense of the mess and fix what we needed fixed so that it would work as expected and in a safe manner. We also needed an oversized entry chandelier changed on a 22 ft ceiling. Austin repaired everything, brought what we needed up to appropriate working order and even managed to hang our giant chandelier... all as agreed upon for a very fair price. Definitely our "go-to" going forward for any electrical work. Honest, on-time, fair pricing & knowledgeable electrician - what more can you ask for? Highly recommended!!

This was the best contractor experience in my life. 100+ degrees of brutal Dallas heat and this…read morecrew just ignored it and kicked ass on my project. The six or so guys were digging all day in the heat to put in more than 20 pilings to stop my house from continuing to sink. It had already moved enough in my first 1 1/2 years living here that I had two deadbolts that would no longer work without gouging out the hole for the strike. The all Latino crew worked harder than any crew I have ever watched, and with no complaints, and nothing but a courteous and friendly attitude. The cherry on top however was the amazing cleanup after two days of digging, outside and inside my house. They patched up all the holes in my bedrooms floors very nicely, and swept up and cleared all their trash. The level of detail was not missed on me as they meticuously replaced bricks I had near faucets and walkways and did a very good job of leaving my yard exactly as it was before this massive digging project. What I am still scratching my head over is how they could repair the small, exposed aggregate on both the front and back porch so you would not even know they had jack-hammered a hole in those areas. This was art and not construction. Thanks amigos and anyone needing foundation work in the Dallas Metro area could not find a better company to do the work. There is a good reason they are are rated A+ with BBB (I always check)

Dishonest people who will say your house needs piers when it doesn't. They came out to my house and…read moresaid it needed a bunch of piers. I had a licensed engineer check it out as well. The engineer said it appeared Straight Line was doing this to make money and those piers weren't needed at all.
