One of the things I really…read moreenjoyed about visiting this spot was the building itself, formerly a Masonic temple built in 1923. The flooring and woodwork were beautiful. But as far as the Houdini exhibit, I wasn't blown away. Several of the interactive pieces were not working. I did enjoy that you could get inside some of the items, like the milk can and a straight jacket, but I wouldn't recommend a trip here just for the Houdini exhibit. The History Museum at the Castle does have other exhibits, which depending on what's in house could make your visit more worthwhile.

It is very reasonable cost I think it was $3 for adults and $2 for kids/Seniors (65+). While it might be boring if kids are too young, there is lots of dinosaur bones that can be touched, and a few other interactive exhibits. If you looked at every exhibit and read everything it would probably take about 45 minutes to see everything. It is very impressive for being a museum on a college campus. Lots of information on the history of the land that is Wisconsin but from an Earth Science spin so what happened billions of years ago to even more recent meteor landings. It is right next to the planetarium so you can easily see both in an afternoon if you wished to do so. There is also a little gift shop if you wanted to get a little trinket. Come check out this place if you need something to do on a rainy day and want to learn a little about the Earth.

The current Art Nouveau exhibit showcases the different artworks, furniture, glass from the Chrysler Museum. The garden is beautiful as well. It's well taken care of and different plants and flowers were all over. There are fountains at the Rose Garden, Formal Garden, and Ceremony Garden. At the time of our visit, there were artists who were painting areas of the garden. Definitely worth visiting.

I would say I spent maybe 45 minutes to an hour in the museum. You just wonder from room to room looking at everything. My favorite were the plain old glass paper weights that were round. I was surprised that it's in a neighborhood area across from a park. Afterwards, I see it outside the museum and just took in the beauty. They also have a gift shop with nice glass things in it be sure to go to the second floor where they do have a little more to see.

They offered more to do than normal because of the festival but we still would have spent a couple of hours here regardless. There are interactive displays that are sure to entertain and educate "children" of all ages. A stop to EAA isn't complete without stopping at the gift shop. From toys, clothing, models and an assortment of Nicknacks, it's hard not to leave without buying a souvenir. Don't forget to go outside of the museum as there is an active runway to observe aircraft taking off and landing along with military aircraft on display. Definitely a fun way to spend a day.

This is the time when Wittman Regional Airport becomes the busiest airport in the world for that week. The main building is massive and contains different exhibits. It has a huge gift shop and multiple hangars housing different aircrafts from different eras. A shuttle will take you from the main building to the hangars where you can see different aircrafts including experimental ones. There are areas for children and flight simulators as well. I learned a lot. If you're in Oshkosh, you should visit!
