The rehabilitation centers and hospitals had been a nightmare for both him and us, but from the moment we arrived at this group home, everything changed. The calm, caring environment met all his needs. And Annie's authentic, homemade Romanian cooking added a special, comforting touch; our Dad even looked at us and said, "This place isn't just good-it's great." At 95, with his mind completely intact, he knew quality when he experienced it. Please know that no facility is perfect, but I would highly recommend this facility. It has an excellent small town feel. The facility itself is conducive to people going through dementia (i.e. secure doors and a design that allows for safe walking anytime day or night). They also try their best (with lots of patience) to treat the residents with respect and dignity. I loved the movie nights or the occasional ice cream cake provided by the director of the facility. I have also recently been impressed on how much the staff cares. As my mom was starting to pass away, the staff's overwhelming empathy and care for my mom was unbelievable. Again I can't thank the staff enough on how they took care of my mom and truly cared for her. I would recommend this facility to anyone with parents or loved ones that need assistance.

She treats all of the residents in this nursing care facility with respect and kindness. The dining area is wonderful and this is where residents can talk or not talk to each other. The workers there serve all the residents and I saw one server cut up the food because he had a hard time and she wanted him to get his nutrients. How wonderful is this place? Definitely I am so very happy that we found this nursing care facility to take great care of my mother. The grounds are spectacular. It has swings, benches, little waterfalls, flowers galore and definitely lots and lots of animals!

My father became a patient here after a lengthy inpatient stay at a local hospital. He needed to go…read morehere for rehabilitation for mobility restoration. The physical therapy team members were excellent! They helped my Dad regain his strength with riding a recumbent bike and walking with the use of a walker. He really liked the male and female physical therapist team that worked with him. They also came to his home to assess his home before his discharge. My main concerns with this facility is that they are completely understaffed. The staff we did interact were pleasant and worked hard, however, visiting with my Dad we would go hours before seeing any staff. There was a female patient located next door who was walking around in the patient common areas unattended with her back side out. Unfortunately, my Dad ended up with bed sores. There was no schedule of shifting him in his bed. Also, when he was discharged home, my parents were not given proper wound care instructions for his bed sore on his heel before seeing his private doctor outpatient. I hope this location hires more staff to have a better patient to staff ratio to improve the quality of care.

My dad would ask them to get him out of bed and when they would finally get him up he would stay in his chair for the next 10-12 hours or whenever they would get around to putting him back in bed. During this time in the chair not once would anybody come try and turn him. They would leave his call light on for well over an hour and when they would answer take another hour to come back. They would put him to bed in his clothes and he would sleep in them all night. My complaints fell on deaf ears. I complained to Courtney and Vicky the director and assistant director of nursing about how Patrice an aid point blank told me she don't like working around patients family and Courtney said she could understand how she would feel that way. Cassidy another aide would walk right into his room and start feeding him without thinking twice about washing her hands. I insisted on them taking my dad to the hospital. He was badly swollen all over his body. Nurse practitioner Daneshia didn't feel it was urgent enough and Issac the LPN (very arrogant and uncaring) said he was ok. Vicky the director of nursing felt like she needed to ask my dad if he wanted to go. My dad finally was taken to the hospital on a Wednesday night and by Friday morning he was dead from sepsis. They have no one in charge at night from Upper management. The LPN's are in charge. You have aids and others sitting around on their phones when they should be tending to the patients. I have seen animals get better treatment. Stay clear of Adira Nursing and Rehab in Saginaw Michigan

There is a lot less turnover and the staff is very kind to my Mom. They give her lots of hugs and play with her multiple times of day. She enjoys music so they make sure she has music in her room every waking hour. She used to get cold a lot but they are great about putting on socks, shoes, undershirt, shirt, sweater and pants. I recommend them.

Early on she was a pretty demanding patient, confused and unable to do anything herself. The staff as well as the contracted care team were exemplary and professional to see she got the best care possible, eventually she felt like she was family and loved by everyone. I visited my mother twice (from outta state) and was allowed to stay with her 24x7 while I visited. I told my wife and the Stonegate staff that if I needed to be put in a healthcare facility I would move back to Michigan, the care was that good!!
