After that, we were lucky enough to come across Montessori Academy of West Omaha. First and foremost, I have always felt as though each individual family is treated not only as family (as cliche as that sounds,) but the school understands each family's unique wants and needs. I am a teacher and wanted my kids home with me over the summer months, this is one of the only Montessori schools in Omaha that not only allows that, but encourages it because "what's best for your family is best for us!" even though that translates to a loss in tuition for the school. I have never once thought of Montessori Academy of West Omaha as a school that only sees my kids as a tuition bill, which I cannot say the same for the other school we attended. This school truly embodies the Montessori philosophy of "follow the child." Our daughter looks forward to school, her friends, and being challenged where she is at individually. The small class sizes at Montessori Academy of West Omaha allow for my daughter to receive direct, specialized instruction. We all know kids are not the same, not all kids are interested in the same things, this school has proven they can nurture each child in growing academically, socially, and emotionally. With my experience in Montessori for the past 10 years, trust me when I say, you will NOT be disappointed in sending your child(ren) to this one-of-a-kind preschool.

The facility is in EXCELLENT, CLEAN condition. Each room full of natural light and is stocked with many fun and interesting activities and Montessori works. My daughter made several friends there. The owner, Dana, is truly a kind and caring person. She handled some Covid situations, which were unavoidable in any business, with extreme tact and professionalism. She showed clear consideration for all students, parents and teachers. I brought my concerns to her and she listened patiently and responded fairly. I had to make sure and leave a review after seeing that one disgruntled person has made an attempt to disparage Dana-- and for some reason Yelp considers that review the only valid one. I hope that anyone looking into Cornerstone will go visit and see for themselves what a great place it is.

Each session is filled with a variety of different activities -- songs, stories, crafts, outdoor and indoor play, etc. The staff is very professional and kids that need a little help adjusting are given extra hugs and attention. My 2 year old is currently enrolled and she lives it -- she has learned so much. (she also breaks out into spontaneous songs at home -- they do a lot of singing there) Westwood MDO really honors each child and I have no hesitation recommending this program.

People are very friendly , good manner and respectful. The students have room for self discovery and growth. Creighton University is big enough that it has just about anything you could want in a school including undergraduate, graduate school, and all the professional schools, but small enough to get all the personal attention that you would need. I really felt that I got a quality education here, and my professors really cared about my education. For those of you who don't know where Creighton is located, it's located in Nebraska. Once you get over the initial freezing your okole off, it really grows on you!! I have really fond memories thinking about my experience here, and I hope my children someday will be able to experience it as well. Go Blue Jays!
