Breeder cancelled my reservation for such a dumb reason. If I'm going to pay almost $2000 (puppy price + shipping to CA), I obviously want a puppy worth what I purchased it for, that's why I was making a number of requests. I honestly didn't even think my questions/requests were a big deal, neither was the request to be added to one other waitlist.
Here are my points:
1. I want a pup that's truly pure breed - there are a lot of instances where owners were sold mixed pups for purebred prices. DNA tests shows this and you can find a lot of complaints online on other breeders reviews.
2. Color - why was this such a big deal when I sent you my preferences for colors? I gave you multiple choices... if they weren't available, you just had to say that...
3. Registration - I just wanted to know about the pups AKC registration. Again, I want to make sure the dog is of good quality. If I'm going to drop $2k, then that's the least I can do. At a local seller, there were Cotons sold as pure breeds but upon DNA testing, a large chunk of it was Maltese. Even more so than Coton. A Maltese isn't worth the price they paid for a supposedly 'pure breed' Coton. Maltese are so common here in San Diego. I know I shouldn't be comparing breeders to breeders, but I AM TRYING TO AVOID THIS TYPE OF SITUATION WHERE I GET RIPPED OFF because two grand is a lot!
You removing me from your list was SO DISHEARTENING. This was suppose to be my first pet dog. Now, I have to look for another place to get one :(
P.S. - No, I'm not a breeder. Your contract states a spay/neuter agreement, so why was this even a speculation? read more
