The second Dr said the same thing, so I scheduled theTKR with Dr. Hummel. He did the right knee at the end of October. I did the therapy and exercises, and regained full range of motion by my 9 week checkup. The left knee was done at the end of February, with similar, excellent results. Dr. Hummel is very specific about what he wants you to do to heal. But if you follow his instructions, you get the best results. I don't hesitate to recommend him highly.

The nurse then said " we will have to re schedule you when you can pay". I did. Miffed that they would miss out on my insurance payment over 5.00. After returning for my appointment a week later. I saw dr Hummel. He introduced himself without looking me in the eye and said " what is it you want from me?" Shocked at the kirt treatment I said" I'm not a surgeon I don't know". No questions were asked. I was x-rayed and Dr. Hummel returned. "I see you are addicted to pain pills." He says. I reply" I'm dependent on them I have chronic pain and need them to function.". He then snaps back with "that's what all addicts say". He then proceeds to give me a list of five things I need to do , such as quit the pain pills, quit my job, loose 30 pounds, start water therapy, and something else. Then I was to return in thirty days and if I had made good progress on list then he would decide if he would treat me. I now thank him for being such bad people person because I found the absolute best surgeon. After getting over being scolded by some one who didn't know me or even take anytime to try I found Dr. who said "you are hurting let's get you fixed."

I have no issue with Dr Kuhn at all. He is knowledgeable and answered all my questions, had me come back for a foot x-ray the next week and we would schedule the outpatient surgery. The problem was I could not get the proper follow up with the scheduling nurse. I left a voice message on her phone twice in two weeks with no call back. The second call in the second week, I got a person who answered the phone and told her why I had called and asked that the scheduling nurse call me. A couple days later, I received the call and got the procedure scheduled as needed with the promise she would call the week of surgery to explain what medicine to avoid before surgery, what shoes to wear or if a surgery shoe would be provided, and so on. People, with doctors and their staff, you have to advocate for yourself is all I can recommend for this particular office. Doctor: good, Staff: too busy to follow up.

I have had Morton's Neuroma for about 7 years, and after countless unsuccessful treatments at prior podiatrists, Dr. Jameson was able to expediently assist in confirming that surgical intervention was at this juncture the most plausible option for relief (though not opting this route until thoroughly confirming via x-ray AND MRI). I had an additional issue in the same foot, and she was able to treat both issues in my left foot. Dr. Jameson worked with me not only to resolve my issues, but also in scheduling me within a VERY short time frame, in order to have the procedure fall within a timeframe in which I had met my deductible before it doubled. Not only did she resolve my medical issues, but was immediately understanding and very willing to work with me on a tight timeframe. Post-surgery, she answered a question on a Saturday, and my recovery time was exactly as promised. Not even a month after two procedures on my foot, I'm able to chase after and wear my 9-month old, and beyond grateful I will continue to do so, pain free!
