She made sure to let me know it said that in the door, which it did in fine print. Perhaps a larger sign, or maybe even locking your door, might prevent customers from walking in. She seemed legitimately annoyed that I was there. So I went across the street to Aunt Betty's where they were very nice and happy to take my money.

They were half the price of other the larger moving companies, so my expectations were a little low, but were blown away! They quoted an hourly rate, which is a little risky not knowing how quickly they'd move, but they worked hard and got things done efficiently with reasonable breaks. They could have been a little gentler with some of the items, but I did pack the boxes myself thinking I would move some of them myself, so I can't fault them too much. Do not waste your time or money on this irresponsible, dishonest thief…read more I hired Anthony and 2 of his moving crew to move my disabled mother out of 1 single room in an assisted living facility in Castleton (after picking up 7 boxes, a mini fridge, and a microwave from my home in Southport 1st), and in to a new apartment in Fishers with her sister. 1) they didn't bring a dolly, restraining straps for items in the truck, or the wardrobe boxes we requested and they said the would bring. 2) because they didn't bring restraining straps, the top half of my moms China cabinet fell over and broke the glass shelves that they didn't even bother to take out and wrap (with the overpriced and unused wrapping material they still charged her for), and tried to tell me it was because China cabinet glass shelves are usually glued in (which I've never seen done in any kind of display cabinetry).  Anthony told me he would replace the shelves because he knew someone who could cut custom glass, and contact me either Tuesday the 2nd or Wednesday the 3rd with the details/update. 3) they literally took twice as long to move my mom's single room at the facility (4 hours), than the 2 man team from All Star Movers did for my Aunt's entire old apartment (2 hours). It actually ended up cheaper moving my Aunt's entire apartment ($575) from Muncie to Fishers, than to move my mom's single room ($620) from Castleton to Fishers. 4) in addition to breaking the China cabinet shelves, they also did something to my mom's medically necessary electric lift chair that helps her stand up (either dropped it, or jammed it through a doorway) that now causes it to pop and drop whenever she tries to use it to stand up. I have witnesses from the assisted living facility staff that her chair was in perfect working order earlier in the day before it was moved. (In fact it worked right before they moved it because she had to use it to transfer to her wheelchair!) We discovered this around 8pm that Monday night when she tried to use it to stand to get in the wheelchair and go to the bathroom. I immediately took a video and text it to him with the following 2 messages: "Uh... your guys did something to the recliner too" and "It didn't pop like that when she put it down before". The only message I got back from him about it was at 11:44 the next day, and I quote "I'm not sure how that's possible..for my guys to do that..can u turn it on its side and see if some is jammed in between it..please" to which I replied "I did right after I took that video. Nothing stood out as an obvious cause." That was the last contact I had with him. When I tried to text or call him on Monday November 8th to get an update, I found out that he had the audacity to block my number. "Free Msg: Receiver 3179751805 unable to receive message - Message Blocking is active." I am now looking at what we need to do to take him to small claims court. This is completely unacceptable. Especially since its against a disabled elder who only gets less than $800/month from SSI. Shame on you Anthony.  May you reap what you have sown.

We are going to paint our two and half car garage floor with one of those do-it-yourself epoxy…read morecoatings kits with the flakes. Our first issue was the concrete floor still had some old paint that still held a good bond after testing. We had to break that seal for the new paint, epoxy and coatings to adhere well. We started applying paint stripper and taking it off with scrapers and wire brushes but it quickly became clear it was going to be labor intensive. The kit instructions suggested another method of breaking down the seal/bond by using a concrete sander. My wife checked with Home Depot and Lowes who both advertise that they rent tools and equipment but neither had any concrete sanders. Using Yelp's search engine brought us to In A Pinch Rent It and after searching their website we saw they had one that looked like the perfect fit for our needs and could be rented 4 hours for $79 or all day at $109. You can also purchase a damage waiver (which we did) that protects you from any damage up to $2500 for like 10$. She called to confirm they had what we needed and we went to the Martinsville location to pick it up. They showed us how to operate it, and how to fold down the handle. He also told us to let the machine do the work. They loaded it into the car for us. The machine worked as we were told. The vibration did cause the cord to come unplugged a few times but other than that no issues at all. We would suggest that you get the dust vacuum attachment because it did create dust everywhere. It would have been an additional $50 and they did ask us if we wanted it but we just didn't think we would need it. Originally we only were going to sand the bonded areas which was a small area but we ended up sanding the entire floor. In hindsight, we should have spent the extra money to reduce the dust. We now know a great place where we can rent tools and equipment when we need them. The staff were all friendly and knowledgable about their products. They actually went above and beyond when we brought the equipment back. They unloaded the grinder and thanked us for renting from them. My wife's car for whatever reason would not start and they brought out a charger box and started her car. If you are like us, we want to support local businesses. This is a good place to support. They have many tools and lots of equipment for rent. The also have moving supplies, boxes for sale and U-Haul trucks for rent. Please give this place a try, you won't be sorry. They have a resident cat who is very friendly and loves to be petted. Our granddaughter loved the cat.

On return of her belongings she found many valuable items missing such as a valuable designer coat , 2 designer bags , shorts and many other clothing items. After my friend calling them and feeling embarrassed at doing so they eventually admitted they couldn't find any of those items!!! And offered a measly $500 compensation, the coat alone was over $500 !! Shaun was dealing with this issue and I believe they should pay her more for the total loss of her possessions as they should be held responsible for the loss. Surely a company that stores household belongings due to fire , flood etc should keep an inventory of what was removed from any property.
