Joan is very skilled, compassionate and caring. I have tried several acupuncture places in town…read more The best value for your money is at the milwaukee community acupuncture (only $15/session). They are actually quite nice people and they do a good job but they could not cure my specific problem. I thought, if I tried an expensive acupuncturist, I would get better results. I tried another acupuncturist in Thiensville, who was expensive about $100/session. She was no different from Milwaukee community acupuncturists (in terms of placement of needles etc). Then I came across Joan's East meets west therapeutics. The way Joan does acupuncture, is entirely different and far superior! She is very specific in trying to pin pint the exact and best locations for putting the needle in. She puts each needle in very carefully and pushes it slowly to find the "Xi" spot; The others, just rapidly put the needles in but you can tell that Joan is trying to find the right spots. Also, while pulling out, Joan will twirl the needle a bit.. which apparently helps with healing. Joan also checks your over all body structure. She has a Phd from boston university. Unfortunately, Joan was not able to resolve my issue (which was a tibio fibular joint pain) but still, I would highly recommend Joan. Even after I stopped going to see her, she still sent me text message about which exercise to use. She is very caring and is well worth the expense of $150/hr. She is a very well educated healer - not just someone who went to a week long course in acupuncture!

Joan is truly a modern day healer. Everyone gave up on me except for Joan and I am just so grateful…read morefor her, for her tenacity and care. She has numerous skills that she applies to aid in the healing process and is very methodical in her unique approach. She brought all her experience, wisdom, and knowledge to my specific needs with great results! I'm making excellent progress and I think I might be her toughest case to date! I'm looking toward the future with new hope and to one day, not having to need her services because that will mean that I'm better. East Meets West Therapeutics is the BEST possible care you can receive. I highly recommend her to every single one of you. Thank you so much, Doctor Joan!!

Omar is amazing! If you are looking for a natural pharmaceutical plan to fight anxiety, sleep…read moreissues and panic attacks I recommend giving his plan a try. Omar offers consults from anywhere in the US. He will meet you online and take your life story into account. He will then recommend different natural medicines, as well as a general wellness plan. He told me to start eating a small breakfast since I've never really been a big breakfast person. I've had an overeating problem but adding breakfast has helped me stay on track. He also recommended yoga and breathing exercises for my anxiety. I've been doing orange theory, but he said because that puts stress on my body I also need something to relax it. I joined yoga and am now obsessed! Some of my favorite medicines he recommend are the b12 dropper and l-Theanine spray. The brain sharpener is helpful for those with memory issues and ADHD. I'm also taking magnesium to help with my sleep issues. Combined with melatonin my sleep issues have started resolving (chronic insomnia and restless sleep). The reason I went natural is because I was having such severe reactions to antidepressants. Combined with my new exercise routine, I feel like a million bucks. Hope this lasts. I also had no issues with my shipment, and find that prices are reasonable compared to some other natural medicines sold by major companies.

I was really happy to find a place that was open on Sundays, so I booked a massage at Elements in…read moreMequon to address some specific pain. The first thing I noticed is the lack of parking. Being near a popular lunch spot there was almost nothing available. Beyond that, I was a little early, but unfortunately my massage therapist was running about five minutes behind. Not a big deal for my schedule. We spoke and went over the problem spots and I changed and got on the table. I waited another five or so minutes for the massage therapist to come in. She was thorough and did a good job focusing on the areas I requested. However, the massage ended about 4 minutes before the scheduled time, so after the waiting periods, etc. my massage came out to be 43 minutes long, yet I paid for a 60 minute. I'm torn because the massage itself was good, but I didn't get my moneys worth.

Terrible customer service. Apparently, the confirmation emails mean nothing. They'll say you were…read moreon a waitlist even though you have a confirmation email. They'll allow you to purchase the gift cards for two hour massages ($218 apiece and I bought two of them), allow you to book it only to call and say they don't actually honor two hour massages. The customer service (Kim - assisted manager) is terrible. She got upset with me and hung up because I pointed out she wasn't being forthcoming when she said I never had an appt. If you can't honor that- fine. If you're staff double booked (which is what the manager ended up stating occurred because of a 'computer glitch') - fine. But, don't lie and make it seem like there was never actually an appt. The manager requested I call her and after saying the computer system was new and full of glitches (which it had bunch of glitches but didn't glitch when I paid for those gift cards conveniently), the therapist I scheduled double booked and that she can't force her staff to do two hour massages- she felt inclined to let me know it was her birthday and she was out to dinner with family and couldn't deal with this now but that I just shouldn't book with them. Why request a call if you, as the manager, aren't in a position to deal with it. She could have advised when she'd call me instead. Just my thinking but I reckon common sense isn't very common. These people are disgusting- they're crooks- and this location will not last I'm sure of it. Their attitudes don't support what a flourishing business should. A place of relaxation has just stressed me out lbvs! Also, they not cheap. I'm sure there are better places to spend your money.
