A person doesn't know what they don't know. CMS was the seller's agent in a property I recently…read morepurchased. I used the listing's photos in my own rental ad and was rightfully contacted by CMS to tell me this was against the law. It's HOW the seller's agent and then broker approached me that is the problem. Bullying, accusatorily haranguing and threatening are never goodwill courses of action. Their incessant, aggressive interruptions were so pervasive that I could never get out a full apology, offer financial compensation or request to be contacted if the ad should show up on an outlier site as the listing had gone viral. Going to their office to discuss the first episode of ill-treatment, I received more of the same: defensive, interrupting, even called unethical. When I asked the broker's name, I was kicked out of the office; she grabbed their business card signage to prevent my knowing it and threatened to call the police. A disturbing show of in-kind organizational personality and behavior. Everyone appears friendly when money is to be made. Inauthenticity and character flaws are discovered when there is no money on the table and a sincere (attempt at an) apology is rendered valueless.
