This year I was tasked with selling my late brothers beautiful Carver 41 cruiser after he died suddenly a year ago. Because I live down on the Peninsula, I pretty much worked with Barney remotely for almost 9 months. He led me through a long journey of managing an immense amount of engine repairs that the boat needed before selling. I cannot express how incredibly efficient and knowledgeable Barney was . He was always sensitive to my limited knowledge of boat repairs, etc. and he kept me in the loop every step of the way. He dealt with the best of the best in all of the contractors who were involved in getting the boat running. I truly couldn't have asked for a better broker to help me with this emotional process of preparing my dear brother's boat for sale. Barney is an incredibly honest, diligent, and knowledgable broker!! The best!!

He has an enormous amount of expertise and helped guide us through our first boat purchase. Unfortunately, when we bought the boat, the marina wasn't so kind. Richard took time out of his busy schedule to help my husband with the collection of the vessel. He dropped everything for THREE hours to help move the boat to another marina and ensured a safe boat transport . He went above and beyond! This was even two weeks after we closed on the boat and he had no obligation to do this. He really is a great person and we highly recommend him. Thanks, Richard!

This praise is for Arin Jeffers - a truly amazing broker and a wonderful human being!…read more I just bought an AMAZING Tayana 37 Pilothouse, "Bella Brisa", that was listed at Atomic Tuna yachts! She is in amazing condition - the credit for this goes to the previous owner Mr. Warner - he is another amazing individual! But THIS write-up is about Arin... From the very beginning, Arin has been nothing but STELLAR! When the yacht I wanted to look at was already sold, he recognized my desires immediately and encouraged me to look at Bella. As I said, she turned out to be the nicest boat of her age I have EVER seen (and I've seen a LOT of them). As I could tell from the listing that she would be something unique, I asked Arin for the earliest date possible to see her - August 9th (2025). When that day came, Arin moved items around in his schedule to accommodate me, and met me at the pier exactly as he had promised. He recognized that I was someone who needed time alone to look things over and he gave me time, and carte blanche to look deeply into Bella's pockets. I spent the better part of two hours, and Arin didn't blink or flinch once. He knew I had fallen in love. And I truly had - at 37 years old, Bella didn't have a mark on her and was equipped better than any boat I had owned before. I told him, even before the survey, that I wanted her, but he already knew, and had already contacted a highly sought-after surveyor - Andy Schwenk - to give him the heads up. He had known that she was something special when he took her into the brokerage. Arin made ALL of the arrangements for the survey: contracted the yard, contracted the surveyor, arranged for the owner to be there to answer any questions. The survey was completed 9 days later. I was present for the in-water portion, including the sea-trial. Unfortunately, I couldn't be present for the hauled portion of the survey - it had to be rescheduled because of a travel-lift failure on the original date of survey. So, Arin took charge and made videos for me of the haul-out and survey, so I could see how it was performed. As expected, the survey came back SPOTLESS - literally. There wasn't a single defect in her hull ANYWHERE! And her topsides looked just as good! In fact, it was the cleanest survey I've ever seen - including those of boats that were much younger. NOTE: My diver (David Laird) confirmed all those results two months later - told me he loves diving this boat because it's always SO clean. Knowing that would be the result of the survey, Arin had already been working on getting the title company going, and advising me of all the things I must do to complete the sale. By October 31st, I was the proud owner of Bella! Arin had already arranged a slip for me at the brokerage. He even helped the previous owner move Bella into that slip when she had to be moved out of the previous owner's marina, and I couldn't be there. A BIG thank you goes our to Mr. Warner and Arin for that one! November 7th, ONE month after I had first seen her, My friend Scott and I sailed Bella to Westpoint Harbor, where she now sits in her new home! I CAN'T say enough good about Arin Jeffers! He is truly amazing - selfless, professional, knowledgeable, ethical, kind, and patient - all the things a truly wonderful broker should be! Bravo! I will continue to maintain contact with Arin - I'm sure we will know each other for a long time to come! My name is William. Feel free to call me at 719-440-3045 if you have any questions you'd like to ask!

Maybe that's the reason why I couldn't get our agent to call us back. Even when she would text that she would return our calls we still couldn't get a call back. It's sad because she offered us a lot of benefits with her sales package. Oh well, off to another broker. It's too bad because it's an excellent Express Cruiser.

A nice guy -- or so we thought -- but once we signed the contract he NEVER marketed the boat as agreed before signing with him. In fact, he NEVER MARKETED IT AT ALL but he essentially forced us into selling the vessel to a client of his "associate" ... this after letting the boat sit for 3 1/2 months while catering to the whims of his "potential buyer" and NEVER SHOWING IT TO ANYONE ELSE!!! Since we had moved to Europe and were not there to monitor everything we were unaware that he never even put up "for sale" signs on the vessel for over two months or until we phoned him and were outraged with that knowledge. He changed the locks WITHOUT OUR AUTHORIZATION and then a boat neighbor told us he had seen someone on our boat KICKING BACK AND WATCHING THE LARGE SCREEN TV AT NIGHT!!!! I mean, maybe someone was living there for all we knew!!! Because of his constant lack of communication and the fact of NO MARKETING we were nervous wrecks for 3 1/2 months while he let the prime selling months of summer pass so his one potential buyer could go on an EXTENDED EUROPEAN VACATION -- while he just left us dangling. From our nerve wracking experience we would advise potential boat sellers to go elsewhere if looking for a reputable boat broker.

We talked with Diego at length about our long term plans, experience, budget, and desire for seaworthiness, livability, and beauty. Finding this boat was no small task! With his extensive sailing experience Diego narrowed the field for us, and thoughtfully worked us through the pros and cons of the boats we'd considered. Ultimately, he introduced us to the perfect boat - one that we'd not thought of - and we became proud owners of our Norseman 447 in May. Diego guided us through every step of the purchase, and made it an easy and happy experience. He genuinely wanted us to have the right boat, and it was his insights, knowledge and trustworthiness that made this purchase possible. It's a testament to his character that through the process of buying the boat we became friends with the sellers, and I believe we all came away knowing that we'd done the right thing, been treated fairly and come away with a great result. Diego went above and beyond what we expected, and we'd not hesitate to recommend him to anyone buying or selling a boat. If it wasn't for the fact we now have our perfect boat, we'd be back ourselves!
