Outstanding, above the call of duty, absolutely kick-ass. - that's how I'd describe the last eight months of boat selling and buying through Mark Miner and his team at Rubicon Yachts. We sold a 2013 Sabre 38 SE and a 1988 Nova 36 Sundeck and purchased a 2018 Back Cove 32 - all through Mark at Rubicon. To say I was DELIGHTED, is an under-statement. Mark and his team at Rubicon absolutely killed it. What the heck does that mean??!! It means I sold the Sabre for more than I bought it for 7 years ago - new. It means that Mark took the same care of my daughter's 1988 6 year live-aboard Nova 36 and she went to a good home at a fair price with no hassles - none. I had a truly remarkable experience in purchasing my boat through Bill Adams at Rubicon Yachts. While I have bought other boats without the help of a broker, the protection and support I got from Bill helped me at every step of the way. Since certain repairs needed to be done as part of the due diligence that was required, I was surprised to find that those repairs were the responsibility of the seller! The experience was the polar opposite of buying a used car. I've been taken out to look at boats by this person who works there ( I don't remember his man) I think twice. However, I've never bought a boat from them. I had every intention of buying one though, just found a boat for a better price somewhere else. I called today because in the next 6 to 10 months we will be purchasing a retirement vessel and plan to spend up to $200,000. These people would've had or could've had my business if they were not so rude on the phone today. I called to see if we might come and look at two of their yachts not because they be available in 6 to 8 months but because we want to get a feel for how they look and in what way one boat differs from another. The person was so rude on the phone to me insinuating that I've taken up their time and never bought anything from them that I would never purchase anything now from them!!! I had every intention of being helped by them to buy my next boat, and would have been loyal for their effiort, I would not go near their place. He was rude, disrespectful, and insinuated that I had taken up a lot of his time well I need to let them know that they will never have to worry about that again, at least not from me! read more

We had a very positive experience with Rubicon Yachts. We bought our 2005 Catalina 350 from Jose Martinez. Jose was awesome. He did everything he said he would do and much more. Jose was knowledgeable, and took the time to explain every step of the process, and was there every step of the way, from the test sail, to the survey. Jose even offered (and I took him up on the offer) to spend time with me after the sale to learn how to maneuver the boat around in the marina! I would have to say that overall, Jose made what can be a time consuming and difficult process easy and positive. We had looked at numerous boats at several different brokerages throughout the bay, and we are very happy we went Jose at Rubicon. We got a great deal on a great boat and made a great friend in the process. If we ever sell this boat, we will definitely be listing it with Rubicon to sell. read more
