I picked up the stack pack in Sausalito and. brought to PV. it was HUGE and fit like stink. Long story short, Robin agreed to pay half the cost to recut the cover but it's still over size and can never be made to fit right. Another gripe; the hardware he provided was way too small. When I told him, he said he provides the same size lazy jack lines to all size boats regardless of size. To me, that's ridiculous. Worst I've ever experienced. I was called three times during my workday so they could tell me nothing about the status of my boat being repowered. Nobody knows anything without tugging on the owners sleeve. Poor business model In my opinion and experience. I was also over charged by almost 1000$ over the estimate, which was high. When the estimate included additional labor line to "remove old motor and prep transom" When the motor was already removed. Overall bad experience and I would not recommend them to anyone. They stated they would have it washed before pick up after water testing. They did not, there was trash and debris in my boat from the work. They also changed out my motor mount plate from perfect good factory condition to a POS with their logo on it, without my consent. On top of all that, the new manual for the outboard they installed was tossed in a hatch and water logged. Do yourself a favor and take your marine work elsewhere.

She is in amazing condition - the credit for this goes to the previous owner Mr. Warner - he is another amazing individual! But THIS write-up is about Arin... From the very beginning, Arin has been nothing but STELLAR! When the yacht I wanted to look at was already sold, he recognized my desires immediately and encouraged me to look at Bella. As I said, she turned out to be the nicest boat of her age I have EVER seen (and I've seen a LOT of them). As I could tell from the listing that she would be something unique, I asked Arin for the earliest date possible to see her - August 9th (2025). When that day came, Arin moved items around in his schedule to accommodate me, and met me at the pier exactly as he had promised. He recognized that I was someone who needed time alone to look things over and he gave me time, and carte blanche to look deeply into Bella's pockets. I spent the better part of two hours, and Arin didn't blink or flinch once. He knew I had fallen in love. And I truly had - at 37 years old, Bella didn't have a mark on her and was equipped better than any boat I had owned before. I told him, even before the survey, that I wanted her, but he already knew, and had already contacted a highly sought-after surveyor - Andy Schwenk - to give him the heads up. He had known that she was something special when he took her into the brokerage. Arin made ALL of the arrangements for the survey: contracted the yard, contracted the surveyor, arranged for the owner to be there to answer any questions. The survey was completed 9 days later. I was present for the in-water portion, including the sea-trial. Unfortunately, I couldn't be present for the hauled portion of the survey - it had to be rescheduled because of a travel-lift failure on the original date of survey. So, Arin took charge and made videos for me of the haul-out and survey, so I could see how it was performed. As expected, the survey came back SPOTLESS - literally. There wasn't a single defect in her hull ANYWHERE! And her topsides looked just as good! In fact, it was the cleanest survey I've ever seen - including those of boats that were much younger. NOTE: My diver (David Laird) confirmed all those results two months later - told me he loves diving this boat because it's always SO clean. Knowing that would be the result of the survey, Arin had already been working on getting the title company going, and advising me of all the things I must do to complete the sale. By October 31st, I was the proud owner of Bella! Arin had already arranged a slip for me at the brokerage. He even helped the previous owner move Bella into that slip when she had to be moved out of the previous owner's marina, and I couldn't be there. A BIG thank you goes our to Mr. Warner and Arin for that one! November 7th, ONE month after I had first seen her, My friend Scott and I sailed Bella to Westpoint Harbor, where she now sits in her new home! I CAN'T say enough good about Arin Jeffers! He is truly amazing - selfless, professional, knowledgeable, ethical, kind, and patient - all the things a truly wonderful broker should be! Bravo! Sold my boat through Farallone because they appeared to be the primary Catalina dealer in the area,…read moreof which my boat was one. They represented both buyer and seller in my transaction and I felt they strongly favored the buyer. As a seller you are in a weak bargaining position because of the monthly berthing fee. I had to pay for equipment that was not included in the original offer to sell, and I was told that I should "negotiate" the county taxes coming due directly with the buyer, as they did not address that in the contract. A more honest answer would have been to tell me that I'm on the hook for more than a year of the buyer's tax liability according to state law. I would not sell a boat through Farallone Yacht Sales again.
