Most other management companies are owned by private equity or are national management companies with offices across the country and their corp office may be in TX, Colorado or Miami. Their management fees are fair based on the market and their reimbursable fees are usually lower than most other management companies. Owners don't understand that Resource Property Management and other management companies don't have the "power" they think that management companies have - all decisions rest with the Board of Directors for the community. But, RPM has broad shoulders and will take the abuse from owners who don't understand this concept. Resource Property Management is on the cutting edge of technology and is always trying to enhance their services to their communities. They wouldn't have been so successful for the past 35 years and have grown organically without being ethical, honest and providing quality service to their management communities. I know first hand from having witnessed their executive support, management style and great customer service!

    I will not be able to recommend this management company to anyone in the future…read more I engaged Peggy for tenant placement services based on a referral from my agent, who assisted me in purchasing my first investment property in Orlando, as I reside out of state. My unit remained vacant for three months without a tenant or any discernible progress. My calls went unanswered, and I had to repeatedly contact her via text messages, to which she would typically respond two days later. When I brought my concerns to upper management, she attempted to rectify the situation, but unfortunately, it was beyond repair. Ultimately, I had to terminate the agreement. I then engaged a management company that proved to be exceptionally proactive and communicative. They successfully identified a new tenant within a week, and the tenant moved in the following week. It is truly regrettable to operate and work in such circumstances when one cannot conduct business professionally. I have unfortunately expended my time and resources by placing my trust in a central Florida management company that proved to be untrustworthy.

Only after repeated follow up with no reply did they tell me I filled out the wrong form. Even though I didn't. I got the form from their website the day I submitted. I even sent them the link to their website where I got the form. Instead of acknowledging their mistake they gaslit me and told me I filled out the wrong form and have to download from their portal. I guess their "portal" is different from their website. I never did find the form so they finally emailed it to me. The form was EXACTLY the same except the footer had a different date on it. Such BS. So I filled out the info on the updated form and resubmitted and now I'm in yet another blackout period. I contacted our HOA directly to find out what the heck the holdup was bc it's very busy spring season and I need to get on the schedule for the contractor. HOA said they never got the request. It's now been over a month since I submitted. Totally unhelpful. Inept. Disorganized. Unhelpful. And we pay an insane amount of money for our fees with zero service. You would think they would be happy I wanted to improve my front yard but apparently not. Totally incompetent, rude, disorganized, mess.
