On April 16, 2026, I underwent 360  liposuction and bbl performed by Dr. Johnson. I am writing to…read morefile a formal complaint about his behavior during my surgery. Once I was brought into the operating room and placed on the table, I trusted that I was in safe and professional hands. Dr. Johnson began by numbing my stomach, then abruptly left the room, leaving me alone in a vulnerable and uncertain state. When he finally returned and started the procedure, what followed was not only shocking but deeply disturbing. As he worked, he made repeated, inappropriate, and degrading comments about my body. He remarked that my stomach and skin were "so hard," and insinuated that my body was "too much" for him to handle. His tone was not clinical, it was mocking, careless, and humiliating. When I expressed that I was in pain and asked, "What do you want me to do?", instead of offering reassurance or care, he coldly responded, "Are you going to make that sound the whole time?" The procedure itself felt rushed and negligent. He spent no more than 15 minutes performing liposuction on my back, front, and sides an amount of time that is alarmingly insufficient for a procedure that requires precision, care, and attention. It was clear that he was not focused on my safety or results. In fact, he openly complained that he needed to be somewhere else, as if I were an inconvenience rather than a patient under his care. To make matters worse, he had charged me an additional $1,500 specifically to perform liposuction on my back yet that area was not properly treated. Despite taking my money, he failed to deliver the service promised. The most appalling moment came when he stated, without hesitation, "I hate fat bitches." In that instant, any sense of professionalism vanished entirely. I was left feeling degraded, disrespected, and violated not just physically, but emotionally. This experience was not only unprofessional and traumatic. What should have been a medical procedure carried out with care and dignity became an ordeal marked by cruelty, neglect, and blatant disrespect. Throughout the surgery, while I was vulnerable, Dr. Johnson repeatedly talked and complained loudly instead of focusing on me as his patient. He raised his voice at a nurse, saying that he was the doctor and that she had to do what he said. He was mumbling and cursing during the procedure and even answered his phone while actively operating on me. At one point he stated, 'I feel like killing somebody,' which is extremely disturbing for a surgeon to say while a patient is on the table. This behavior made me feel unsafe, disrespected, and dehumanized while in his care. I do not believe Dr. Johnson should be allowed to operate on any patients until his behavior and fitness to practice have been thoroughly reviewed. I am requesting that this matter be investigated by the appropriate board and that his license and conduct be reviewed.

He literally didn't even ask me what I wanted, and when I tried to compliment him on meeting him without even having a consultation for my surgery he told me to don't flatter him in a very ugly tone he was extremely rude to me, and he hit me when he was drawing the lines on my body. I was having a lesion on my face examined, and the doctor decided to remove it and send it to pathology. The only reason I know this is because after he told me that it was a wart, I asked if he was certain it was not skin cancer. I found it odd that I received anesthesia, had the tissue cut out and cauterized without anything being explained to me, and the doctor seemed annoyed with my questions/dismissive of my concerns. Given my family history of skin cancer (not to mention that I was left with a sore on my face), a little bit of an explanation would have been in order. Ultimately, I was very uncomfortable, and elected to have my follow up elsewhere.

I told her to give ma minute to look them up and she replied no need. Dr. Benites came in about 10 minutes later and examined the arm I came in for. There were four cysts and he stated he would give me an injection in each. After giving the 1st injection he said " you seem uncomfortable so you will have to use a gel". If that doesn't work, go to urgent care or the emergency room. Dr. Benites said "I injected the largest one. thank you. I asked why won't you finish? Again Dr. Benites replied you seem to be uncomfortable. Isn't it normal to be uncomfortable when someone is sticking you under your arm with a needle? As I was leaving I asked if the medication list could be finished and I was told it was not necessary. Asked for a printout for my doctor as to what it was and what was done and was told it wasn't necessary. A $35 co-pay for the visit. Urgent care will be $60 and the emergency room visit $150. What kind of games is Dr. Benites is playing? Still in pain, not told how long to use gel. Be careful in choosing a doctor.

Throughout my experience she's been exceptionally receptive and thorough in making sure I'm comfortable and healthy. Her directions are clear and her responses to my questions are plentiful and well-informed. Secondly, she's an absolute artist. Her keen eye took my original idea and added some small but impactful differences to my end result, giving me something better than I could have ever imagined. Her office manager Janetta is equally as dedicated and continued to go out of her way to ensure I was on track and proactively clear about the next steps. This really helped me to feel completely at ease in their hands and look forward to my operation with nothing but excitement and anticipation. Each office visit is an absolute treat thanks to these two. My operation itself was wonderfully efficient with an impressively professional and charmingly tender team of staff ensuring pure comfort and ease. My results are getting more and more beautiful by the day as I heal and I am just over the moon. I feel absolutely stunning in my skin. Thank you to this wonderful practice and all those in it for making my dreams come true!!! xo

She was honest about what was achievable and what was not, which I deeply appreciated. I never felt rushed--she always took her time with me, patiently answering my endless questions. From the very start, she was warm, caring, and reassuring, and I felt like we were true partners in this journey. Beyond her personable approach, Dr. Afridi is an exceptional surgeon. She is meticulous in her work and spent the time needed to make sure everything was done exactly right. It's clear she genuinely cares about achieving the best possible results. From day one, I could tell she was deeply invested in me and went above and beyond to ensure I would be happy with the outcome. I came to her for a very tricky and sensitive procedure: ankle liposuction. This was something I had struggled with for years. No matter how much I exercised, I could never change the shape of this stubborn area, and it always left me feeling self-conscious. It even limited my fashion choices (hello, maxi dresses!)--I spent most of my life trying to cover my legs. Even with all that frustration, the idea of surgery was daunting. I did not want to take unnecessary risks with my health and had decided I would not undergo general anesthesia. Dr. Afridi immediately put me at ease by creating a plan to do the procedure under local anesthesia instead. On the day of surgery, she and her team made me feel completely cared for and supported. I was comfortable the entire time (her nurse even held my hand, which meant so much). The whole experience was far easier than I ever imagined--I had very little pain and was able to walk out of the office the same day. Dr. Afridi's skill and attention to detail were evident throughout, and I always felt safe in her hands. The results? Truly outstanding. For the first time in my life, I feel confident about this part of my body. This wasn't just a surgery--it freed me from years of insecurity. Dr. Afridi is not only a highly skilled surgeon, but also a compassionate partner in her patients' journeys. If you're considering a procedure and want a doctor who is meticulous, caring, and genuinely invested in your outcome, I honestly can't imagine anyone better.

This was one of the most jarring medical experiences I've ever had. From the moment I arrived, the…read moretone was cold, dismissive, and completely devoid of compassion. I paid for a consultation and left feeling disrespected. The surgeon seemed disinterested from the beginning, interrupting constantly and responding to concerns with smug, passive-aggressive and slightly creepy remarks. Rather than listening or engaging with empathy, he treated the entire conversation like a performance--one in which he needed to feel superior, and I was expected to play along. Here's the truth: It's already hard enough to go through surgery. To live in a body that doesn't feel like your own. To come in seeking help. But what makes it worse--what adds lasting damage--is when a doctor chooses to be cruel instead of kind. Especially when that cruelty is completely unprovoked and done to a vulnerable person seeking support. It's perfectly reasonable for a surgeon not to want a case. But what's not fine is treating someone who showed up with hope, vulnerability, and money in hand like they are a nuisance or a problem to be managed. This wasn't medical care--it was an ego trip. And it left me feeling icked out, with a negative perception of a person who could have helped me. If you value a sliver of emotional intelligence, integrity, professionalism, empathy, or even basic respect in a dr, look elsewhere.
