I received fillers under my eyes with Dr. Afridi, this was my first time getting fillers. I have suffered for years with very sunken circles under my eyes, especially after this past year, I always looked tired. My consultation with her was amazing, she has a lovely bedside manner, very warm and friendly, and also extremely honest on what should be done. She also told me if I didn't like the results right away she can take the fillers down too. When she did the first eye she showed me right away how it looked, and I LOVED the result. I did take Advil that morning so I did have slight bruising afterwards, nothing major, went away in about 3 days, and nothing a little bit of concealer can't cover up. I went to see her about a month later, for a follow up, she had to inject a half syringe just to plump up again. I made sure not to take any Advil in the morning. The results again were amazing. I have received so many compliments from friends this past month on how youthful I look. She did an amazing job, since no one could really notice what I had done. My experience with Dr. Afridi has been nothing short of spectacular. Her holistic and bravely honest approach in communication concerning the specifics of my surgery allowed me to be supremely confident. At no particular moment did I waiver in how safe I felt, nor in my confidence concerning how aesthetically accurate the results would be. I have had two procedures done with Dr.Afridi. The first one a little less than a year ago was a mastopexy by reducing excess skin in a circular incision around my nipples. This method was also done to simultaneously reduce the diameter of my areolae. Every medical professional thereafter that had seen my breasts, including highly rated dermatologists, have consistently commented on how amazing of a job she had done with reducing skin scarring where the incision was done. Ten months later I opted for 250cc silicone implants for personal aesthetic reasons as well as to satisfy my hobby and passion of being a cosplayer. I consider myself to have a very critical opinion on what I find visually appealing in women's breasts. I wanted larger breasts at a very specific proportion, shape, and with a very natural looking transition. Dr.Afridi did not disappoint. Not only did she immediately remember me, but even her assistant over the phone recognized my voice. From the discussions regarding what I wanted to the day of the surgery, as well as after, every aspect remained smooth and streamlined. In the past few years I've done several procedures with Dr. Afridi and all of them, without exception, were beautifully performed. Her touch is impeccable! My facial contouring which was especially unique, required extreme precision and was very successful. 2 years after the lip work she did for me, my lips are still plump and look very natural. I could almost cry when I think about how much I love and appreciate Nadia!! I had breast surgery when I was 20 years old after negative side effects from my birth control: breast asymmetry. One breast was a double D; the other was a C. As a 20-year-old girl attending the University of Miami at the time, I was mortified. I avoided pool parties, and wearing a bikini at all costs because I was so embarrassed. I decided to get them fixed, and went to one of the most expensive plastic surgeons on Park Ave (Dr. Trevor M. Born - awful) because I thought the more money I spent - the better the results would be. I was WRONG. I was absolutely botched. I experienced extreme complications, and struggled for what felt like a lifetime. I had necrosis (a part of my left nipple died), and a 3cm (in depth) wound that took FOREVER to heal. It was like my body had given up on me, but I was healthy and young. I couldn't understand why. Dr. Trevor M. Born put me in hyperbaric oxygen chamber therapy everyday for weeks to increase the blood flow to my wound; nothing worked. He kept prescribing me medication and ointment and delaying treatment, insisting more time would help, but it didn't. One morning, about a year after my surgery, I woke up to capsular contracture. My breasts were HARD. I knew I had to fix this. Dr. Born advised me not to get surgery again. Can you believe that? In total (with all of the complication fees) the surgery was easily 35k-40k, and he left me with hard breasts.. my confidence was so low, and I felt depressed. Then, one day, I went onto Yelp and found Nadia. Janetta (the wonderful office manager) was able to squeeze me in for an appointment after hearing my story. She has a daughter my age and could hear the pain in my voice (I cried on the phone and she was incredibly comforting). The office took me seriously. They empathized, and they listened and they were DIRECT and realistic about my expectations and what I could achieve. I did not realize until I met Nadia, how important it is to truly connect with your surgeon. A lot of surgeons are cold, hard to talk to and only speak in medical jargon. Not Nadia!! She is warm and comforting and made me feel safe. She also spoke to me like an equal. (Even though she is much more qualified than I'll ever be!!) Despite her incredible personality and crystal clear communication skills, she is truly an artist. Her whole office is just incredible: pre-op AND post-op. She checks on you, and accommodates to your schedule and just wants you to leave feeling happy and beautiful. The results I received were seriously incredible. I am so happy and confident with how they came out. My reconstructive surgery was 6 and a half hours long because she took such care to make sure it was done correctly. She changed my life. I'm 22 years old (turning 23 in April) and the long struggle I've had is finally over!! I really cannot say anything bad about her or this experience. I am SO grateful for Dr. Afridi and her stellar team! I've had a lifelong insecurity over the size, shape, and overall appearance of my breasts. I am also tall with a natural hourglass shape, so I always felt like my breasts were not in proportion to my overall figure. I often taped my myself to achieve cleavage, stuffed my bras, wore uncomfortable padded push-ups, and generally did all sorts of smoke-and-mirrors tricks to adequately fill out dresses and tops. Needless to say, my self-confidence and body image suffered severely. Breast augmentation was always something I was curious about and I did extensive research on the procedure for years before finding Dr. Afridi. I was drawn to her for several reasons. I took the plunge, scheduled a consultation, and right off the bat I knew she would be the one--I never saw another doctor. From Janetta, the rockstar office manager who facilitated my entire process from beginning to end, to Dr. Afridi herself, I felt cared for, respected, and validated. Dr. Afridi is incredibly brilliant, down to earth, and was able to effortlessly answer all my questions and assuage my fears over the procedure. She communicates with her patients like they are her peers (no condescending tone or attitude here!) and goes above and beyond in making sure you are thoroughly in the loop. Eventually, we decided to go with 400cc subglandular silicone implants, as that was the best choice for what I wanted aesthetically as well as what worked best for the natural anatomy of my breasts. I was nervous on surgery day (this was my first time ever undergoing an operation) but the whole experience was seamless. The team was caring, understanding, and did all they could to put me at ease. The surgical facility itself was a welcoming and impeccably clean space. Janetta even came to see me on surgery day, which speaks volumes about how genuinely supportive and empowering everyone at Dr. Afridi's practice is. Recovery was much easier than I anticipated, and now, three months later, my implants have healed and settled so well with absolutely no complications. Most importantly, my confidence has skyrocketed and I genuinely feel beautiful and comfortable in my own skin.
