So long as the roads are reasonably clear, what's not to love about this area! Lots of really easy mini-hikes to explore, gorgeous scenery, and really kid-friendly. This is the best place to stop for trail maps and trail recommendations. There are many options for free maps of Mt. Baker scenic highway and other scenic areas of Washington. If you're not sure what you're looking for, ask. I met a super friendly lady from Indiana. She pointed trails out on a big map, took me into the visitor center, and made map recommendations. She also recommended a trail that would better suit me desires for the day. Restrooms, historic information, and a gift shop are all located at this visitor center. read more
