I met two of the most incompetent people I've ever come across today and it so happened that they both worked at this golf course. We had a 2:15 tee time. Apparently they don't let you have carts past 2:00 pm. This wasn't on the website. We even called ahead and made sure because I have a running injury that keeps me from walking when I play golf. The answering service they use told me that we could get a cart. I even showed them a disability letter and offered to bring the cart back after 7-8 holes. They made no accommodation - they even wouldn't let me rent a push cart. This is typical business in Denver - I hope these people soon find a job that they take pride in. Golf course was really fun to play. We did 18 holes and did not hit any houses. Semi tough course with the houses being close to the course. Overall, a great course and the club house folks were super nice. Can't hit drivers at the range but if you're slicing it hard you probably should stay away from that on this course. This course is fine for what it is, mostly a dog track. The pro-shop staff is the worst aspect and the customer service is atrocious. Won't offer a rain check for the back 9, even if you're unable to finish the round and haven't started the back. Nice course, fun to play. The reason this place has such a low rating is because the people who work in the pro shop are RUDE and they do whatever they want with your card on file. We made a tee time, they moved us up, then double charged me when our 3rd couldn't make the new tee time THEY moved us to. Avoid this place for golfing. There are WAY better courses within a 5 minute drive of here that have much more personable staff working in the pro shop. read more

None of this is about the golf course which I was looking forward to playing recently. The day before I had a work conflict come up and cancelled the reservation which I had made through Golf Now. According to someone I just spoke with at the course, Golf Now never informed the course, so they counted me a No Show and fully charged me the greens fees to the tune of $300. Golf Now and the course are essentially saying "too bad." I golf pretty frequently and have never had an experience like this - with each party telling me it is on the other party. First was welcomed at 11:10'for a 11:42 Gentleman was very nice and helpful. This was first time I played here Drive open range cannot use driver. Course is in magnificent shape! I'm not sure why this course has two stars, it's a great course with fun holes and pleasant staff. I enjoyed the sloped greens and well placed bunkers. This is a pretty nice course. I like it. Usually in as good a shape as my game is. Today, at 3:05 pm I wanted to play 9 holes with a cart. Sorry. We don't let carts out after 3:00 because the sun will go down in 4.5 hours. I only wanted to play 9 holes. Today, they lost $72. Just from me and one other player. 9 holes. 4.5 hours until sunset. They are not the cheapest course near me. I just like it. Well, today they lost me. I probably spend over $2K there a year. Maybe more including guests. If you can't let me 9 holes with 4.5 hours of sunlight left, you are no longer a course I need or want to play again. Although I have heard a lot of negative things about this course, I still come back because I like it. No more. Yeah, I was rude. They were rude. I think this course is worth 3 stars but a 2 star experience. Pros: affordable , greens are in good shape, golf carts clean and well taken care of Cons: seriously pushy marshalls, which put a damper on our experience because they made us skip a hole when we were keeping up with the pace of play, it was the people in front of us that were being a little slow. Very narrow greens, lined with townhouses so if you shank a ball you could bust someone's window. We came, we played, and we won't return. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I used to love this course so much that in 2021 between the golf course and Noonan's bar I spent over $3,500 before tips. Straight up no BS that's how much I played golf there last year and we ate with my family and my buddy one to two times a week, at least every other week. Today when I went there to play my round Jim, who's been there forever... Refuse to let me play because I have my daughter and he told me there are no spectators allowed. Guess what? Last year I brought both of my kids on multiple 18 hole rounds with no issue, so what's going on? I also brought somebody from West Denver to come play and drove all the way out for an 8:33 tee time, only to have to have him redirect and head over to common grounds where they happily took my money. I'm so disgusted and livid that I will never do business with these jerks ever again and that really pains me because I actually love this course for what it is. It's affordable, yes it's a short course, but it's also really tight with all the homes and the greens undulate quite a bit to make up for the shortness. It's actually a really good place to learn how to play good golf. Noonan's is inconsistent with their food but the atmosphere is great, like a divey sports bar... In the staff is above average, Sean in particular is amazing. So it pains me greatly to take my business elsewhere but I will. I suggest if you love the game of golf and you want to be able to go with your kids, don't give this place your money cuz they will not respect you even after you spend the kind of money that I spent with them read more

Very well maintained course. Has driving range just for irons. It's a shooters course surrounded by houses it's tight in some spots. Pace of play has been good the few times I played. This is only course I know with full cart path so you can still ride when it's wet! Greens are pristine. read more

I decided to come here because it had a bunch of teetimes on Sunday. It's obvious why the course has a bunch of teetimes. It is maintenance very irregularly. I almost got hit by about 18 balls. There's house is very narrow on either side of the fairway so it feels like you're going to have $1000 charge about every tea shot. Save your money enjoy any other course or just don't golf at all. I would quit the sport to play at this course every week. Worst course I've ever ever played for the money. read more

The course is what it is, which is an inexpensive course that is a good time to work on your game. I have played here at least 60+ times in my life and some times have played better and some have been in rough shape, but even then average it out and you have yourself a fun course. If you are expecting The Ridge, Saddle Rock or Arrowhead type layout/design, you will be very disappointed. However if you got a tee time to go hit some balls with your friends, you will probably have a good time. Starting off, the course was terrible. The holes had dry grass and they ran opposite to each other, so someone on the previous hole's tee can hit you if they pushed their drive so much as 20 yards, The service was horrible as well, the marshall accused my group of PLAYING DOUBLE HOLES in freezing cold weather since the group ahead of us finished while we were on the 16th tee. Unbeknownst to the Marshall, the group that teed off ahead of us had skipped holes. The range was also really small and no drivers were allowed. Terrible course overall read more

I live in the apartments by the golf course & tried calling to see if anyone could come empty this trashcan by my patio. The automated service kept prompting me with the same options over & over, no matter which choice I chose. So I was never actually able to get ahold of anyone. I noticed the trashcan was full yesterday evening, no one ever came to empty it & no one emptied it this morning. Now there's trash blowing all over the grassy area in front of my patio area. Disgusting! Now they KNEW the golf course would be buzzin' this weekend with the nice weather. They should have been prepared to drive around the golf course once or twice daily to empty these cans. Horrific experience at this golf course. If I could give zero stars I would. From the start, our group was singled out and repeatedly harassed and discriminated by employees and course marshalls for having a child golfer and female golfer in our group. We were harassed FIVE separate times. We paid full price for all people in our party. We kept the pace of play (playing best ball too) - in fact we were often waiting on people IN FRONT of us. See reviews below for exact same experience of harassment of kids by employees. This is not an isolated event. Not interested in the canned response they will provide to this review - they do not care and will not change. Do not patronize them with your business - they do not deserve it. I wavered between 3 & 4 stars. Based on Yelp's definition of 3 stars, Heather Ridge is "A-OK". And that shouldn't be a bad thing, but we're in a review happy society and I'm definitely a fan of Heather Ridge, so 4 stars it is. I play Heather Ridge for 15 weeks straight, every year, and have for about 3 years. It's always a consistent experience and I have no complaints. It's a nice little course in a great location with nice amenities. If you aren't expecting The Sanctuary, you'll be happy. The course is in good shape, and with some recent tree removals, trap removals, and path repairs, it's even better. Greens are definitely challenging - I can never read them right! I'd say the back 9 is a little harder than the front, but only slightly. But when you throw 7 in there, the front 9 is no gimme. That's a heck of a par 5! If you're a casual golfer, I really think you'll enjoy Heather Ridge CC. It's a fun course that keeps things interesting and challenging for those of us who aren't PGA pros. read more

There are many public courses in Aurora and I tend to play Heather Ridge the most. Hazards around the course are very manageable- beware if you play in the autumn months. It's near impossible to find your ball in the rough due to leaves - but that could be said about any course in October - November. I understand there's a cancellation policy for a reason, but sometimes life happens and it's just not possible to cancel 24 hours in advance. I had a tee time yesterday and two of my foursome could not make it. One was throwing up all night and the other had to take care of a young family member because of a labor induction... Unfortunate for me, I was not informed until just before the tee time and I was told "Sorry I have to charge you for the no shows, we could have sold those tee times." Other courses have said "No worries" and simply adjusted without question when I flat out forgot to call ahead of time. The fact that the guy wouldn't even listen and happily charged me for the "no shows" is a show of how the course treats it's guests. But hey... he gave me a break and only charged me the walking rate and said "keep the receipt to show your buddies that you paid for their no show" GTFOH... (Insert eye roll emoji) We walked up to the cart with our bags and another person that worked there asked us "did you check in with the pro shop? I just want to make sure you're not just jumping into a cart" - Ummm... What?? Who does that? Even more annoyed, I showed him the cart key that was received by the "no show" guy in the pro shop and he drove away in his cart without saying anything. Course Condition: 5/10 - Course was in decent shape however it seemed like the group in front of us didn't pick up their feet at all because the cleat marks around the green were terrible. The maintenance folks had no golf etiquette and we had to literally yell "EXCUSE US" before we tee'd off so we they could move out of the way. I used to like playing this hidden gem, but it seems like everyone that worked there had a case of the Mondays. The older gentleman from years past who was kind and compassionate was definitely missed. I will not be returning and will encourage the rest of my golf community to play elsewhere. read more

First and most importantly, I was incredibly disappointed by the marshall. He was more concerned with pace of play than player safety. The group behind us hit a line drive that came within 5 feet of one of the guys in our group. They didn't apologize and antagonized us on the next hole for not teeing off quick enough - mind you, we were waiting for the group in front of us in both cases. I told the Marshall and his response "well that happens sometimes". Not when you have a Marshall that cares about doing their job! We later had an injury and the same Marshall (who didn't have a first aid kit with him) made a stink about us letting the group behind us play through (which we were going to do anyway) before he left to go get us medical supplies. Thanks for nothing Pinky. Second of all - the course is straight up cheap. The pro shop is in the basement of a nasty looking cement building. The range is turf. The course is boring - most holes are just straight lines with few obstacles or really anything interesting for players to play through. And it attracts cheap players who care nothing about respect for other players on the course. The only redeeming factor is their well maintained fairways and greens. If it wasn't for that my review would be 1 star. read more

The management of this course has forgotten all aspects of customer we service. They made the driving range irons only, unless your management. I have seen Audrey use woods twice this year on the range, but if you did you will be asked to leave. They have removed all the ball washers of the course, nearly all trash cans, water jugs are present but empty...if and yes 2 hours or else. read more

Awful. Driving range is all mats and for some strange reason you can only use irons at the range "due to covid." I've been to a lot of driving ranges but this was the only one where I was the ONLY person there after 5pm. Then as I'm practicing I notice that they're closing the range down at 6 pm!
