I understand that stores are in business to make money so this is an opinion. They charged $39.88 for Crown Royal Blackberry which came out recently. Down a few miles on Plymouth is a liquor store selling for $34.99 in stock (found that out after purchasing). State minimum is $29.99 as that's what Total Wine & More sales it for but out of stock. I'd never expect a small business to sell anything without a markup above state minimum, but I would assume it would be reasonable. The other alcohol is priced higher than the normal store I go to in the neighborhood. Maybe they are using dynamic pricing model like TicketMaster. The aisles are very tight, but you'll find some left over Christmas drink gifts that I am not sure if they are charging extra for, snacks, alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. Before you venture out for Crown Royal from here, know that it does not meet the hype at all. Reminds me of cough syrup & makes paying more even worst. I am still not feeling the excessive markup. They sell Vanilla for $33.99 so an extra $6 for another flavor is ridiculous. I wouldn't go back.

I love that they get a lot of extremely good store pick bourbons and actually know the nuances of what they are selling. Sometimes they even have samples available and will offer them to you. There are a lot of local stores where the owners and employees don't even drink alcohol. Sure, it's a personal choice but how can you be objective about the products you're selling if you've never even sampled them? I trust everything that this store recommends to me without question and I've never been disappointed.

Alas, all good things must come to an end and when I graduated from high school, I no longer visited the area as much. My nostalgic visit the other day allowed me to speak with one of the new owners. The building was getting a facelift, and the inside had pretty much been upgraded already. He was pretty positive about maintaining a good business. I wish him good luck in his ventures.
