I am so pleased with the Heaven and Nature Store on Jonestown Road. I've been going to this store over the past 20 years. It has been in business for 30! I know every time I go there, there are amazing vibes and scents that welcome me as soon as I walk in the door. I always find the most amazing things there. Just recently I was helped by Erin who generously helped me learn about numerous crystals and stones and they're healing properties, and she spent a significant amount of time helping me pick out the ones that were just right for me. My childhood home is within walking distance from this store, and I have great memories from about age 15 on of coming into this store alone and having a cup of tea, and shopping the candles and stones on display. 21 years later, this is still a great little shop. The store is VERY small, but they pack a ton of variety into this little space. The prices are a bit higher than you might expect, but the items are quality, including some great crystals and jewelry. You are always offered a hot cup of tea when you come in, even if you are just browsing. They have various skin care products and the supply of incense is ever changing. One of my favorite things to do is have a custom scent blended, or add a perfume oil to one of their different base options like body wash, massage lotion or hand lotion. There are a bunch of little roller bottles of perfume scents, and once you've picked a favorite, they will add drops of your smell to a scent free base. I use a roller of 3/4 sandalwood to 1/4 tea rose as my regular perfume scent. In addition to perfume oils, they have a supply of essential oils, and the owner Vonnie is a very knowledgeable aromatherapist, which helps if you aren't sure what to pick up. If you are looking for a metaphysical/alternative/new age shop, this is the best one in Central PA. read more

My very first time attending a supernatural store rather then shopping online. I must say the miles to get there was worth every minute because that store has a variety of different options. When I mean options I mean whatever your practice,path or religious preference may be you will find it there. Also for example if your looking for oils, not only will you find that section you will also have books pertaining to oild. Same goes for the herbs and goddess section ect. This place is fantastic! It has the highest density of goods per square foot of any store in the Universe. The people that work there are quite possibly in the top 0.5% of nicest humans in recorded history. What you will find: crystals, semi-precious gemstones, polished stones and quartzes, incense(s), essential oils, bumper stickers, exotic clothing, murtis idols and statues, music, books, homepathic herbs and healing remedies, home decor items, greeting cards, jewelery. We are a counterculture family who was in Lancaster County for a week on vacation. I researched this place prior as I wanted to buy my wife something nice while away and this fit the bill. Harrisburg is a shithole but this place is NOT! Great little tiny shop packed wall to wall with everything you can think of. My only complaint is I wish it was a bigger store so the walls weren't so overwhelming. I had some time to kill between meetings when I was in Harrisburg last for work. I saw the reviews for this store and thought I'd drive over. I'm so happy that I did. The store is small, but is packed wall to wall with stones, crystals, books, candles, and all things spiritual/metaphysical. The person working warmly welcomed me and made me feel so comfortable. She recommended a few of her favorite books but didn't pressure me to buy anything. I spent probably an hour on the ground, skimming through a huge variety of books- everything ranging from Norse history and folklore to Taoism to the Law of Attraction and onward! I finally choose a book on "radical Buddhism" and a few stones. I almost got in an accident on my drive home, and as crazy as it sounds, I feel like the black onyx I purchased here helped me avoid the crash. Very Poor Service! I was in the store to purchase some body oil. I use the tester to sample the oil. The oil smells very good coming from the sample but once I got home I test a little from my bottle that I purchased and it did not smell anything like the sample. Called the store spoke with a Missy and I explain told her I had both receipts and wanted to return or exchange the oil. She told me that it was against the law to return or exchange oils. The oil that was sold to me was weak with no hint of the scent I was purchasing and smells as if it was diluted. I feel cheated and ripped off. Not happy with this purchase and before you go and purchase any oils? I would suggest you smelling the actual bottom that you are going to purchase not the tester. I verh displease because a friend of mine know the owner and she is a great person and I'm sure she not aware of these policy as the policy is one sided. read more
